Cheri Taylor an hour ago New Was seen in this office for the first time in 2023 and had a wonderful experience. I had another appointment scheduled for October 11, 2024 and it was going to be with a different doctor. That was fine with me because I didn't feel like my eyes had changed, I just needed a new prescription. However, I was notified a few days before my appointment that the optometrist they had scheduled me with was not yet licensed or credentialed to do the exam. I was to call back and reschedule when I found some availability. I now live in North Carolina and have to work it around my work schedule. I do work four 10 hour shifts a week and it wouldn't be a big problem. I have a condo at Garden City Beach and I'm usually down there once every 4-6 weeks at least. Before I had an opportunity to reschedule I received a bill in the mail for a $35 cancellation fee. Of course I thought it was a mistake since I'm not the one that canceled. I phoned the office and attempted to explain but was told they do not cancel appointments. I insisted that I didn't cancel the appointment and tried to explain again. I was told someone would call me back. Well today a young lady by the name of Kiara called and told me that I was responsible for the $35 because I had not called back to reschedule. I finally told Kiara that I would absolutely not pay a cancellation fee for which I didn't cancel, and they've also now lost a patient because I had fully intended to call back and reschedule. I'm still in shock by the whole thing because my experience last year could not have been better. I'm very disappointed because now I have to find another eye doctor. read more

I had my yearly eye exam appointment scheduled for August. They called to cancel my appointment and rescheduled it for sometime in September. They called me again closer to my new appointment time and canceled that one and rescheduled it for October. I just received a phone call canceling yet again and they wanted to reschedule it for November! I am now low on contacts as my prescription should have been refilled in August! After a 45 minute drive and 15 minute wait they canceled my appointment staff didn't call staff didn't notify me of the cancelation until I got to the office after a 15 minute wait in the lobby poor staff and not friendly take your eyes somewhere else read more

If I could give 10 stars I would. I recently moved to South Carolina and haven't had much luck. I walk in this place not expecting much with my broken glasses I sat on, I'm thinking I can only get frames, lenses are good. Tyra goes in back room comes back with frames to fit my lenses, goes in back again to adjust and fit great! I say how much? She says free, they were sitting in the back. This was my first time going to get get glasses. They are really nice and very clear on information. My friend sent me here after her visit. I would let others know this is where they need to go for glasses or contacts. The test they do and show you what needs to be done was beyond what I respected of them. I called them to make an appointment and they called me the next day. I will be using them for further treatments. read more

I made an appointment for an eye exam then they called me back to schedule with another doctor. After signing in others signed in and went back, after 20 minutes of waiting I went up to the desk and asked how much longer? Another 20 mins. So they dont schedule properly ...as long as you have all day to wait you should be fine. read more

My husband and I had a great experience at Vaught Eye Associates. I had scheduled the appt. and my husband came along as a walk in to get his eye glasses after seeing another doctor and left without glasses because they had no frames within our VSP frame allowance. My husband unexpectedly saw the Dr. Vaught for a second opinion which we thought was great because we had not scheduled an appt. I found more choices in frames under my frame allowance and found this office to be very accommodating and professional. read more

First and most importantly, the doctors here are exceptional. They take their time with you and they make you feel very comfortable. Sadly, there is nothing else to drive you into this location. The selection of frames for men is not good and the prices are a bit high (compared to other outlets like Lenscrafters, etc.). Now about the service. It's not good. Not even close to good. It's slow and unfocused. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes after your appointment time before you are called back. Be prepared to cool it alone in the exam room another 15-20 minutes before you are seen. The staff will also take another 30 minutes figuring out your insurance (if you have any). I was ready to just ask for my prescription and go somewhere else but by that time, I had already paid and my insurance had been filed, For me, it's all about the service and it's just not there. I will go somewhere else for all my future needs. read more

Not helpful at all very rude old lady. Do not recommend at all. Needed new temporary Contacts really bad so I could see to drive, had a valid prescription from somewhere else but no sorry they can't use that. Guess they like to turn down business. They won't help anyone in dire need. read more

I took my two kids 7 and 14. Years old. It was by far the best doctor I have ever had. Locally or a very expensive doctor in Athens Greece. By far excellent all around. Great equipment, pleasant staff. My family and I have gone there for many years. I have always liked the doctors and staff. The doctors are nice and knowledgable. My last visit was not a positive experience. There was some misunderstanding on what my insurance paid, a $200 difference! I am sure I had an annoyed look on my face because of this. However, that didn't warrant the office manager Savannah being rude to me. Instradnof an apology, because the confusion was on their part, she asked, "do you want to get glasses for your kid or not?" I was completely floored. I'm sure the owners don't known she speaks to the customers this way. While I love the doctors, I work hard for my money and don't expect to be spoken to this way when spending hundreds of dollars. Unfortunately, we will be taking our business somewhere read more

Poor customer service. Have went here since I was a kid. Went in a week after buying glasses and wanted to get prescription lenses put into sunglasses and was told it was no problem. Went through the entire process just to wait to pay and all of a sudden a member of management walks out to say sorry we can't help you. The only explanation was that the glasses wouldn't be hold prescription even after the lab had looked at them and said it would be no problem. read more

Dr. Vaught is a very good doctor. Having said this: The service is horrible! Very unprofessional office staff. Was told that if I could not learn to insert and remove contact lenses within an hour, that I could not take my contacts with me, and that I would have to keep coming back until I learned to do it. I live 25 miles away from practice. I felt anxiety, pressured and rushed. Dr. Vaught later explained during this same (an first) visit that this was not the case. I was relieved, then: There was a hefty out of pocket charge that I did not expect, although I asked up front what charges my insurance would not cover. I was told that I could not get my prescription until the charge was paid. I could not see another doctor because my insurance only allows one exam a year. The person who assisted me was very argumentative and said I should have looked over my insurance policy. Even though I did. So, because I could not and refused to pay for a charge I was not aware of, I could not get my contact lenses, and I cannot see another doctor either. I was extorted and put between a rock and a hard place. So don't know what I am going to do about getting my contact lenses now. Cant afford a visit to another doctor. I am very upset and disappointed. The doctor got paid for his work, and I got nothing in return for his services. Very good experience with doctor. Very bad experience with office staff. It's unfortunate that an otherwise VERY good doctor has his practice reputation harmed by selection of horrible office staff. Would not return. read more

Dr. Wise has been my ophthalmologist for years. Listens to everything I tell him. I swing between contact lens ad bifocals which he has n o problem with. I am disabled and don't need my contact lens everyday. Their frames and services are less expensive than my previous ophthalmologist. I love saving money. They dot complain if you want to use old frames. To save a little more $$. Who wouldn't love that. The staff drs.and nurses are polite and knowledgeable. Almost always on time. read more

Staff very friendly , professional and explained everything they were doing and why . Dr. Horn very friendly she explained everything in a kind professional way . My visit to the Vaught Eye Associates was outstanding. My visit was urgent since I was seeing flashes and floaters. Every person that I dealt with there was very professional, very kind and knowledgeable. My doctor was Dr. Weiner who gave me a very thorough eye exam and explained all of the testing that was done .He even called me the next business day to check on my eye. In all of my 67 years I have never been treated so well at any doctor's office. I highly recommend Vaught Eye Associates. read more

First of all I work in a doctors office at the front desk. I've worked in healthcare registration for years. I called to make the appointment and gave my insurance information over the phone. I asked if they took it and the girl said yes. I asked to please double check that they take it and if they don't to please call me ahead of time because I'm driving 40 minutes to get there and do not want to show up and find out they don't take it. She tells me no problem she will let me know if there is an issue. Fast forward two weeks I call and schedule my daughter for for an appointment on the same day as mine and again give my vision insurance information. Fast forward another week and I drive to Conway. I check in and hand over my insurance card only to be told they don't take my insurance. Absolutely disgusted. I can't imagine if I did this to the patients at the practice I work at. Sad thing is this isn't the first time this has happened to me at an ophthalmology office. Staff needs some insurance education training!! read more

Could not have asked for a more caring, professional Dr. & staff. I walked in off the street without an apt. on a Friday no less, my eye bothering me for weeks, (kept thinking it would go away tomorrow) but it never did. Expecting a while to even get an apt. I explained "I had a problem to the receptionist, Renee". Maybe she sensed my pain, anxiety & frustration. She told me "it would be about a 20 minute wait & that Dr. Vaught (senior) would see me & put it through my insurance, without a co-pay". Needless to say, tears of relief made signing my paperwork blurry, as "Renee" was just so kind & caring, (definitely the kind of person The Dr. wants at the front office)! Dr. Vaught saw the problem immediately, (he even told me "this must be wearing you down", that's how empathetic he was), he then recommended his treatment & will see me again Monday for a re-check. I don't know if you've ever had something in you're eye hurting, burning & tearing but I'll tell you this: it can make one feel very, very bad, & trust me, "will wear you down". After being in the medical profession for thirty years, the treatment I received as a patient & a human being was exceptionally refreshing, thank-you Dr. Vaught, Renee & staff.
