    Dr. Singleton takes his time with his patients and gives good advice. He's very knowledgeable and explains procedures well.

    I was told that my insurance would cover my procedures but then they sent me a bill. Poor communication and deceitful practices.

    Terrible Experience!! I first thought the were great but the follow through of their process is…read moreterrible. 1) Went for contacts exam and told them at the time that I wanted glasses as well and that I had to get those thru a special site from my employer/insurance where I got a discounted rate. I was never told that there would be an additional $50 fee to measure my pupil distance if I was not buying glasses from them and that they would not email me a prescription. 2) I got a contact lenses exam and left with a couple of pairs of contacts. (These were daily wear which the doctor just scolded me about wearing daily contacts for more than a day. ) They told me that this was all they had but would order my contacts and have them in by early the next week. This was on a Friday. I had not heard from them by Tuesday so I called Wednesday mid day and found out that they had not been ordered so the young lady said she would order them then and asked me to pay for them. I paid her for the 6 month supply and they were shipped to my house. She said they had no more samples to give me while I waited so I was rinsing the dailies out while waiting. 3) I get the box in early the next week and they were the exact same prescription that I went into the clinic with of which I still had boxes of that I could have worn if they were the right prescription still. I called the office and the person says they dont see a prescription for me and that the doctor is off and he will have her call me tomorrow. The doctor calls me the next day and asks what the issue is. I re-explain the situation and she asks like she has no clue on what I need and asked why I didnt like what I had - I told her that if the ones that I had were working, why would I come to the doctor for a new eye exam and why would she give me a different set of lenses all together? I then read off the information on the box of lenses that she gave me and she said that they would call me back regarding the new order. 4) They call me back at the end of the afternoon to tell me that they have to reorder the new prescriptions from a new company and that I have to return the old ones to them to get a refund. The new ones cost more so I agree to do that without an issue. I asked them to go ahead and order the new ones and that I would take off work and bring the new ones and pick up my eye glass prescription so I can order my glasses. She said no problem. 5) Take off work, go to the clinic, turn in the wrong boxes, pay the difference, remind them that I need my prescription as I need to order from my designated vendor per my employer/insurance plan and they print it out and give it to me. Nothing ever said about the need for me to get a pupil measurement and additional fee. 6) Now a week later I go to order my glasses and entering my prescription to find out that I have to have this measurement to get the glasses and call back and they tell me that I must come back to be measured and it is a $50 fee. This office is ridiculous, the team members don't know what they are doing, you get handed off from person to person, the manager or supervisor person is rude, and the provider does not seem to know what is happening!!! I do NOT recommend them!!!

    If you value your eyesight and sanity, avoid this optical department at all costs. They managed to…read morebotch my prescription the first time, then asked me to come back as though they'd make it right. Instead of owning up to the mistake, they sat me down with a technician who condescendingly explained that the prescription was "correct" and that I was simply looking out of my glasses wrong. Let that sink in -- according to them, the problem wasn't their work, but the way I was using my own eyes. That level of arrogance and incompetence would almost be funny if it weren't so insulting. I then had to incur the cost of getting a re-test at a different optometrist who verified that the Siegmund Eye Care test results were incorrect! And now I am out over $500 for the new glasses I purchased that have the wrong prescribed lenses. Vision care is supposed to be about accuracy, accountability, and patient trust. This department failed on all three. If you want glasses that actually work -- and professionals who take responsibility -- I recommend going absolutely anywhere else.

I had another appointment scheduled for October 11, 2024 and it was going to be with a different doctor. That was fine with me because I didn't feel like my eyes had changed, I just needed a new prescription. However, I was notified a few days before my appointment that the optometrist they had scheduled me with was not yet licensed or credentialed to do the exam. I was to call back and reschedule when I found some availability. I now live in North Carolina and have to work it around my work schedule. I do work four 10 hour shifts a week and it wouldn't be a big problem. I have a condo at Garden City Beach and I'm usually down there once every 4-6 weeks at least. Before I had an opportunity to reschedule I received a bill in the mail for a $35 cancellation fee. Of course I thought it was a mistake since I'm not the one that canceled. I phoned the office and attempted to explain but was told they do not cancel appointments. I insisted that I didn't cancel the appointment and tried to explain again. I was told someone would call me back. Well today a young lady by the name of Kiara called and told me that I was responsible for the $35 because I had not called back to reschedule. I finally told Kiara that I would absolutely not pay a cancellation fee for which I didn't cancel, and they've also now lost a patient because I had fully intended to call back and reschedule. I'm still in shock by the whole thing because my experience last year could not have been better. I'm very disappointed because now I have to find another eye doctor.
