Engineering students, don't let CCNY Grove School of Engineering make you feel like you're not cut…read moreout for this field. The problem isn't you, it's the broken system here. CCNY is a very corrupt college. Save your money, go to a better engineering college. undergraduate engineering programs are disorganized, unstable, & deeply discouraging. Core required courses are often only offered once a year, scheduled at the same time, or canceled without notice, making it nearly impossible to graduate on time. Expect delays and plan to stay at least 6+ years. advising system is just as bad. Advisors are uninterested, unhelpful, and sometimes give completely wrong advice. I was told to take courses that were later removed from the curriculum, forcing me to repeat classes I never should've had to retake. Professors & advisors often seem unreasonable and disconnected from students, they don't listen, and they don't care. Professors are another major issue. Many are unapproachable, inflexible, and play blatant favorites. If you're their favorite, you might pass regardless of performance. If they don't like you, even if you're doing well, you risk being failed. Your success here depends more on being liked than on merit & that destroys trust in the system. Another huge barrier: you can't enroll for next semester's classes unless you get special permission (an advising hold must be lifted). But by the time you get permission, all classes are already full. So you'll spend day refreshing registration pages and hoping a seat opens up. It's unfair and creates yet another structural disadvantage for students who don't jump through the hoops fast enough. I came here believing I could become an engineer. Instead, I left with imposter syndrome and a heavy amount of mental stress. When I tried to suggest improvements or offer feedback, I was met with hostility, not support. This environment doesn't just discourage growth, it punishes initiative and protects dysfunction. CCNY will give you anxiety, nightmares, and PTSD. If you're an engineering student, save yourself the pain. Make a sacrifice to study engineering at a better school: SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Maritime, or Farmingdale State are all much better options

Before she sent us the sleep plan, we completed a questionnaire to explain sleep habits, schedule, routine etc. Within this questionnaire, we included the room set up, which included our son sleeping in our bedroom. We went through the entire 2 week program following every suggestion Irene gave us. Towards the second week, communication and responses to our questions began to be inconsistent. When we expressed our son was still not sleeping well, she expressed that it must be because he's in our room and claimed she wasn't initially aware of our setup. We have since hired someone else who specifically said my son would be able to sleep through the night with (or without) being in our room and sure enough he is! I would not recommend Lullaby & Me to my peers. We felt she did not fully read the information we provided her at the very beginning of our pre-paid, two week program and began to "get lazy" towards the end of our session.

We are first time parents and our daughter was 10 months old when we contacted Irene. We realized we needed to start sleep training immediately because our daughter was reliant on us to fall asleep. She needed to be held for naps, and at night she needed the bottle and rocking to fall asleep. All of this consumed so much of our time. We wanted to be able to just put her down in the crib and have her fall asleep on her own. Before contacting Irene we tried to sleep train her ourselves, and it was a disaster. She cried for over an hour straight and it gave us so much anxiety - we didn't know what we were doing, we were just following google's advice. I am the type of person that would prefer having professional guidance so I know we are doing everything correctly. Gives me peace of mind. Irene gave us an entire sleep plan, educated us on so many things that we had no idea about. Sleep training is a science and there is so much more involved than we thought. The first night of sleep training we were so nervous after the initial experience we had when we tried on our own. We were planning for a brutal night. And our daughter feel asleep standing up after only 8 minutes! We were in shock. Irene was texting with us the whole time, as she did on many other nights afterwards. Our daughter now goes to sleep on her own every night, and also for naps (naps take a little longer to master but your baby will get there!). I highly recommend Irene and it is 100000000% worth the money to have her by your side the entire time. She always made herself available for a call if needed and was so responsive through texts. This sleep training has changed our lives and we are so thankful. We will be referring Irene to all family and friends. Thank you Irene!

Tackling every single problem crippling human health - virology, infectious diseases, cancer etc you name it. Bonus: Try out their cafeteria. ~$8 for one main entree, two sides, it's a steal. Plus, you get sweeping views of the East River. The least I can do is to support this incredible institution through its cafeteria.

Well for one, they know that in order for smart people to function, create and discover, they absolutely need beer. And RU delivers beers and other alcohols to their faculty and students. Inside RU, there is an actual Rockefeller University Faculty Club and there is happy hour everyday from 6-8pm. You probably need to know someone to get in, but once you're in, the beer flows and very cheaply at that. I don't think I paid anything to drink. The lounge is spacious and lots of couches. Also, there is a pool table, if you want to hustle. Bathrooms were clean, but it will remind you that you are on a university campus. The outdoor space is absolutely lovely. Many people having BBQs and on a nice warm night, drinking beer in the garden is really nice. I would definitely come back and hang with my RU friends and drink cheap beer and discuss cerebral topics.
