If you hate your job, then quit, so like that they can hire ppl that do want to help prior students with any needs that they may need for other schools so that they continue their education. It's 4 years later, and still waiting for their worthless staff to let go of the "hold" that's on my daughter's account so she can register elsewhere and move on. How many times do you guys need an email with all of the attachments to be sent to you?!? It's been 4 years?!? Smh ‍

I attended York college myself in the late 1990s,and it was a good experience. They have grown so much since then in every way more programs, classes, buildings and everything. The campus is clean ,The staff was very courteous an kind to me ,when ever I was there.

First they started telling me to remove my window tints because the security guards have issue seeing my plate because they refuse to walk 10 feet to look at it. I purchased a decal today to start my final semester of college and I was told to park off campus grounds to which I came back to 2 tickets. After putting the decal on, I'm now told I'm unable to park inside the campus ground before 2pm. My entire experience with Queens College could have been much better, but they are a business and nothing more. If you want to park on campus, you should be prepared to spend some extra money because they'll somehow find a reason to write you up a ticket. Also, this campus has buildings so old and out dated, it really makes you wish you chose another school. I've taken 5 summer classes and have seen nothing but roaches everywhere. Nothing but a sub par college experience overall.

I must say it was not always smooth sailing, but no place is perfect. My professors held me accountable for doing my part, they are smart, dedicated and approachable. I have put in the work that my professors set out for me, as every student should, and accomplished what I set out to do. See for yourself, and remember this is a school that is preparing you to have a professional career, think critically and make wise choices In life, if this is not your goal then, this is not the school for you. Nursing is a vocation, it's not a walk in the park. With self discipline, hard work and perseverance you can have your degree at St. Paul's School of Nursing In several months.

As a current student, I feel it's important to share some concerns about the way this school treats…read moreits students. Recently, we received an email stating that students are not permitted to enter classrooms before the scheduled class time so that instructors can "prepare the learning environment." However, in reality, many professors arrive exactly at the start time or even after class is supposed to begin. Meanwhile, students are expected to stand in hallways or find somewhere else to go even when we arrive early after work to study. The only alternative spaces are the library or cafeteria, both of which have very limited seating. It feels unreasonable to pay out of pocket for an education and not even be allowed to sit in an empty classroom while waiting. We then received another email about elevator use, which is understandable for accessibility reasons. However, the message stated that misuse could result in parent/guardian contact. This is a school of adults, and many of us are parents ourselves. Including language like that clearly shows how little the administration thinks of its students and reinforces the feeling that we are treated like children rather than responsible adults paying for a professional education. Another major concern is the lack of respect and support from some faculty members. For example, Professor Jayne Kier is extremely unapproachable. Students feel uncomfortable asking questions because responses are often sarcastic, dismissive, or met with long, intimidating stares. There is little guidance provided, yet students are made to feel as though they are wrong for seeking help. This creates a stressful and discouraging learning environment. Lastly, it often feels like students cannot safely voice concerns. When issues are brought up to administration, they are dismissed as complaints rather than taken seriously even though many of us are committed, adult learners who care deeply about our education and future careers. It is incredibly disappointing to be treated this way as paying adult students. We invest our time, energy, and money into this program, yet we are treated as if we are receiving a free service and should simply accept it without question. The tone and treatment are not only disrespectful, they are humiliating.

In comparison to other colleges I have been to in the area, the facility is clean and well maintained and you can tell that they take steps in caring that everything works as it should. And it is nice that they have a computer lab that offers a space for students to work on coursework before or after class or when they need a computer. There is a virtual classroom there that I have seen in passing that shows a professor teaching from another location but still able to interact with students at the other location. Pretty interesting and can't wait to take a class to see how it works first hand. The staff that work there seem to be friendly and eager to help. I have been able to get my questions answered or directed to where I may find the answers. Even if I was not able to speak with someone there I know that I was able to reach out to one of the other advisors they have and got the help I needed.

The main issue we had was that parents are only allowed to watch the first and last class, so we were very uncomfortable with the idea of leaving our child (a very beginner level swimmer) in a class with 7-8 student to one instructor. Although it's helpful for the kids who may get distracted if parents are right there. Another issue was that some of the kids have severe anxiety and are pretty much crying through the entire lesson. You can't really avoid this but it may not be a good idea if your kid is easily influenced by others around him/her. My son started crying after seeing the other kid cry and that pretty much ruined the lessons. I liked that they were understanding to our situation and let us get a refund after we tried the first class. The swimming pool is NOT a heated pool. The room with the pool is temperature controlled and humid but the pool itself is not heated. My son was freezing during his lesson and was visibly shivering the entire time. I think the programs offered by this place is best for those who already know how to swim but want to improve or practice more.
