This means paying for an entire extra semester for a single course. This isn't just an unfortunate exception--this reflects a pattern of poor management and planning. Vaughn regularly over-enrolls students without ensuring there are enough sections or professors. And instead of offering solutions, they expect you to simply pay more. They don't seem to care about your financial situation as long as you keep paying tuition. In my experience, students are left to figure it out on their own, delayed in their graduation, and financially drained. I strongly urge anyone considering Vaughn to do your research. Talk to current students, ask tough questions, and think twice before committing to a school that takes pride in its image, but leaves students hanging when it counts the most.

Unlike in college where your grades are based on homework and papers, in most classes in law school, your grade is determined by one exam. In addition, the professors won't hold your hands. You're in a cavernous lecture room with 100+ other students. After fucking up on the LEDP final exam during the fall semester of my 1L year, I was on academic probation. With the help of Allie Robbins, who's an amazing woman, I fought my way out of it. In the fall of my 2L year, I had a class with Ruthann Robson, a dingbat who can't teach. The only reason she has a job is because she's in a relationship with another faculty member (whom I won't name). In the spring of my 2L year, I took a mediation class with a witch named Beryl Blaustone. At first glance, she seemed like a sweet old lady. However, after a month, I saw her true colors. In the spring semester of my 3L year, I took a mandatory course called Core Doctrine. The course allegedly prepares you for the bar exam. At the time I took it, it was taught by shysters known as Pieper bar review. I didn't learn jack shit in that class. All they did was regurgitate rules and stupid mnemonics. I got a C in that class. Fortunately, the Piepers no longer teach Core Doctrine. The NY bar exam was a doozy. I got massacred during my first two attempts (February 2014, July 2014). I was so traumatized that I nearly gave up on becoming a lawyer. Long story short, after a few life-changing events, I eventually got back on my feet and passed on my third attempt (July 2017). And contrary to popular belief, you don't need to spend thousands of dollars on a bar prep course to pass the bar. I took Barbri in February 2014 and July 2014. In July 2017, I self-studied (if you want specific tips on how to tackle the bar, send me a private message). At CUNY, all of the students look out for each other, regardless of their skin color, religion, or sexual orientation. Back when I attended CUNY, I was in a clique. We studied together and went bar hopping during our rare free time. I miss those days. There are many people at CUNY who have your best interests at heart- Allie, Cheryl Howard, Victor Goode, Shirley Lung, and Rebecca Bratspies. Unfortunately, a few bad apples spoil the bunch. There are quite a few professors who either can't teach or get sadistic pleasure from handing out bad grades. And speaking of, if your GPA is less than a 2.5 then welcome to academic probation. The GPA requirement is intentionally set high so people who the school feels won't pass the bar are weeded out. Like a few other people said, the building is nice and immaculate. The neighborhood is somewhat desolate, though only one stop on the E and M lines away from Manhattan. There are a few decent dining options in the nearby Citibank building (DO NOT eat at the American Hero deli that's across the street from CUNY). CUNY is a school that emphasizes social justice. If you want to become a lawyer who defends the oppressed then CUNY is a halfway decent option. If you just want to make money, consider a career other than practicing law. Speaking from experience, it's not worth the stress.

CCNY is a very corrupt college. Save your money, go to a better engineering college. undergraduate engineering programs are disorganized, unstable, & deeply discouraging. Core required courses are often only offered once a year, scheduled at the same time, or canceled without notice, making it nearly impossible to graduate on time. Expect delays and plan to stay at least 6+ years. advising system is just as bad. Advisors are uninterested, unhelpful, and sometimes give completely wrong advice. I was told to take courses that were later removed from the curriculum, forcing me to repeat classes I never should've had to retake. Professors & advisors often seem unreasonable and disconnected from students, they don't listen, and they don't care. Professors are another major issue. Many are unapproachable, inflexible, and play blatant favorites. If you're their favorite, you might pass regardless of performance. If they don't like you, even if you're doing well, you risk being failed. Your success here depends more on being liked than on merit & that destroys trust in the system. Another huge barrier: you can't enroll for next semester's classes unless you get special permission (an advising hold must be lifted). But by the time you get permission, all classes are already full. So you'll spend day refreshing registration pages and hoping a seat opens up. It's unfair and creates yet another structural disadvantage for students who don't jump through the hoops fast enough. I came here believing I could become an engineer. Instead, I left with imposter syndrome and a heavy amount of mental stress. When I tried to suggest improvements or offer feedback, I was met with hostility, not support. This environment doesn't just discourage growth, it punishes initiative and protects dysfunction. CCNY will give you anxiety, nightmares, and PTSD. If you're an engineering student, save yourself the pain. Make a sacrifice to study engineering at a better school: SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Maritime, or Farmingdale State are all much better options

They always serve beer/wine and usually a yummy selection of food, if you are lucky it will be Dino BBQ! Besides good company and food/drink, the townhouse that it is located in is historic in itself. It has many of the original details/rooms dating back to when it was constructed in 1876. Visit the wood paneled Library to see MANY out of print books and even the Syracuse's Onondagan Yearbooks dating back to the late 1800's. This building also houses and Art Gallery which changes it's exhibit regularly. I will find any excuse to come to Lubin, I, without fail, have an amazing time and have always left having met a new friend!
