This gym is clean offers many amenities and is very conveniently located. They also offer an amazing recovery room

Came from out of town, and got a trial day to work out here. I must say, after not getting to work out in a gym in California for a long long time due to covid restrictions, getting to work out here when I came from out of town was bliss! What a gloriously large gym with functioning machines and many equipments and so much space at my disposal! I got a couple of hours of sweating and getting sore (in a good way) here, and it was an amazing feeling in my travels. Thanks so much to the front desk for being so helpful and making my free visit a great one!

If I could put zero stars, I would. My husband's LOCKED locker was literally pried off the hinges and someone stole his gym bag and personal items. Staff response was impassive and slow. Also, the bathrooms are always disgusting. The VASA in Bountiful is way cleaner and client-friendly.

I'm going to mostly let the pictures of this deplorable gym do the talking. Vasa is disgusting and the maintenance is some of the worst I've seen. A fancy ad campaign and new flooring doesn't cut it when the conditions are garbage. If you'd clean up your gym and fix issues in a timely manner you guys would be much more successful and probably keep your members. I've talked to management on several occasions and they tell me they've put in many, many requests to have equipment fixed that has been broken for months, with no avail or response from corporate. You guys should be ashamed taking peoples hard earned money and lining your pockets with it. I'd gladly pay more for a clean, well maintained gym! 9 times out of 10 you may find a single toilet that is working or clean enough for use. Currently there are At least 15 pieces of equipment that are out of order or broken at the Sandy location. Get it together Vasa!

The one crappy row machine we have left.

Showers lack hot water now for at least two weeks. Should not take this long to repair.

I joined this studio (mostly for Pilates) last week and have been to at least one class daily since…read morethen. The classes with Pilates reformer machines are $30, so if I go more than twice per week, I'm better off paying the $240/month membership fee. They have punch cards for other classes (15 for $225). Each instructor so far has been helpful. They know how to push our limits without causing pain. Two have given me their business cards for personal sessions or to get questions answered. Nice. Melissa and Kevin at the front desk are friendly. The women's bathroom has two toilets and two showers. Looks like their childcare center is fantastic. Parking usually isn't a problem. The main reason I waited so long to join was because I wanted afternoon classes--not morning or night--but I've been able to find enough classes for my schedule. After I downloaded their app and the MINDBODY app, I've been able to schedule and pay for classes online. Even at midnight. I needed to reschedule a class that had extra payment, so hopefully I won't get charged twice. I've been happy with this studio so far. It's ridiculously close to my home. I thinks it's ironic that it's next to a good hamburger/ice cream diner where my youngest daughter worked for several years. I wonder how many people work out then eat back all the calories they just burned. Ha. Or the other way around--people feel guilty for eating so much then they go to a fitness class. The other members seem to be from all different fitness levels, so it isn't awkward for this newbie who was out of shape.

We signed up for the Salmon River rafting trip. The communication is beyond poor. We are spending…read moremore money on travel than the actual retreat. We paid for a hotel room to be able to make the early morning flight, to be able to make the "mandatory orientation" in Salmon the night before the retreat. We paid for an additional "package" to cover all flights and hotels from Boise to Boise. After sitting in the Jet Port for 3 hours we were able to find out that the orientation is not mandatory for us. After reviewing all materials, it is clear there is conflicting information and lack of ability to talk to anyone in a timely manner. Can't comment on the actual rafting trip.

The Sports Mall - Pickleball courts with winter bubble

I am not a member here but part of a league that is playing pickle ball here…read more I didn't know about the bubble being around the courts for winter which was nice inside it was comfortable. Outside was in the upper 60s the day I went. Not sure if it would be cooler than it was when it's 30 outside. The walk from the front desk to the courts I never would have found on my own. I didn't see any other signs that said what was what way besides the ones my group put up. Everything looked clean and taken care of. I didn't use the locker room or restrooms. They do have a bar attached that was a nice bonus. We only got drinks but they do have food as well. Next time I'll have to try some.

The Sports Mall is celebrating their 50th anniversary and you'd think with all the advertising…read morethey're doing, that they'd clean up their facility and bring in some up to date equipment. This place has been the exact same for as long as I can remember. We've been customers off and on for more than two decades, and a majority of the machines are still the same. The treads are worn on lots of equipment which can be a hazard, some labels are torn off and illegible, some seats are stained with spray tan, some cracking. We enjoy the classes that they offer as part of our membership. The trainers and class staff are inspiring, very helpful and friendly, supportive and kind. Unfortunately parts of the facility smell bad and it's inexcusable IMO. For example, that hallway passing the racquetball hall smells absolutely putrid. I have yet to see or detect that the berber (carpeting!!!) has been sanitized, shampooed, or replaced... Men sit between matches, pouring their sweat onto the carpet. Barf. That hallway has earned the moniker "stinky hall" for a reason. It truly smells sharp and foul. The fans in the weight room aren't sufficient for moving the stale air. Some days this summer, I've thought I was having hot flashes and feeling faint - come to find out, the room was nearly 80°! They don't seem to keep the thermostats maintained at reasonable temperatures. That's not acceptable. Upstairs, it's dreary AF. It feels tired. It looks the same as it did in 2003. Same dreary fluorescent lighting, too. Absolutely nothing updated on the walls. The locker rooms are generally kept up with lots of lockers for patrons. Unfortunately the wet area can get kinda gross. In the women's one, I've occasionally seen clumps of hair and bandaids left in the showers. I've gone into stalls only to find that the showers weren't working properly. Trickling low water pressure or non-adjustable scalding water!! Without the cover, the pool area is decent in the summer. The space feels dilapidated the rest of the year with that holey and aging cover. You can tell that kids are peeing in the pool so they counterbalance it by treating it with lots of chemicals. I've only gone to the pool once this spring, and haven't been back since I ended up with an itchy scabby chemical burn on my shins. :( I don't play on the tennis/pickleball courts, but they appear to be really snazzy. Seems that they're kept up and well maintained from the looks of them. Basketball court seems good too. The hallways to get to all these places are fluorescent lit and dreary. I wish they'd update their spaces to reflect the higher end clientele they're serving or trying to attract... They can write off the maintenance, so I don't agree with some of the replies left by management. They could make changes, they just don't seem to want to. Alas, I still go here because it's quiet and the equipment/benches/bars are usually open throughout the day, the people generally keep their eyes to themselves and most are respectful, versus the bustling "meat market" gyms like EōS and Vasa... They really need to refresh and clean up this place. Currently two stars.
