My experience with Varsity Tutors is excellent. The tutor assigned to us was Mr Knight for extra tutoring to prepare my son for his SSATs. Mr Knight is the kindest person, and very experienced with SSAT as well as Math. He was so helpful that we have asked him to continue for the rest of the year to tutor my son with his math. He is always on time, and willing to work with flexible times. MOST importantly, my son his math grades went back to where they should have been in the first place. And that led to his self confidence returning. As a parent, that was worth every penny. Finally, the person who is organizing the region is very kind and accommodative as well. I have enrolled my elementary student in multiple group classes. He has enjoyed all of them and learned some new information. Two classes he participated in were large group. He is younger and it was hard for him to type fast enough to ask questions or answers, but he did enjoy the classes. The third class was a STEM class he did in a small group (less than 25 kids). His group actually ended up only having a handful of other kids so less than 10 in all. The class continued for several weeks. The kids got to know each other a little bit and felt comfortable. My son has a learning disability with reading and memory. He has struggled for many years before finding the correct testing and diagnosis. When I decided to hire a tutor I looked into many places. Varsity Tutors was the nicest, informative, and most accommodating to my sons needs. He had been so withdrawn it was a struggle to get him thru to the next grade. I had a great experience with Varsity Tutors. Initially I thought that it would be best for me to sit with a live tutor but it turned out to be a far more productive experience to engage in online sessions. The interface is perfect. My tutor and I were able to share a whiteboard on which we could both write, erase, upload homework instructions plus sessions were recorded for repeat viewing. It all worked very, very well. Physics was the class I needed help with and my tutor, Chibuzo was patient, punctual and beyond prepared to help me in every aspect of this class which included algebra, calculus and other things I had never heard of. the tutor my son had was great. she was always on time and spent time answering all our questions and i felt she took a real interest in my son. he found her easy to understand and felt he was learning. my son was also "set-up" to continue studying for the SAT on his own after our sessions were completed. he took additional SATs. my only "complaint" is that my son had a very demanding after-school schedule and a few times it was difficult to find a time for her to come, but it always worked out. the convenience of home tutoring w/his schedule was great. no regrets. read more

Andrew Blonski has really helped my daughter with SAT related problems. He has bettered her understanding about SAT math and truly helped her understand how to get through these problems. I am getting tutored for the GREs and my tutor is very helpful and flexible!
