AVOID AVOID hiring Ms. Reiko Hicks for any Conservatorship/Probate matters. I would avoid Ms…read more Hicks' legal services as my experience has been that she is either not well versed in this process and/or she is willing to ignore her legal responsibilities and circumvent the Probate Court at her discretion. After helping establish a legal Conservatorship in late 2024, with two co-conservators over Conservatee's person and estate, Ms. Hicks was then willing to repeatedly breach her legal responsibilities by creating documents outside the Conservatorship to favor one co-conservator over the other. Ms. Hicks created a Family Trust, Trust amendment, property deeds, and a durable power of attorney for Conservatee outside the Conservatorship by choosing to purposely not notify the Probate Court and obtain a substituted judgement for any of these documents as is legally required. Ms. Hicks failed in her responsibilities to ensure a dedicated bank account was created for Conservatee's care as per Conserervatorship orders. Ms. Hicks and one co-conservator knowingly filed a false Inventory and Appraisal form with the Court, excluding the Conservatee's 50% portion of all joint assets. Ms. Hicks created a power of attorney for the Conservatee months after the Conservatorship was established, which was created solely to allow one co-conservator to use to circumvent the other co-conservator and the Court. Ms. Hicks would have had to obtain approvals from the other co-conservator and from the Court via a substituted judgement in order create any documents outside the established Conservatorship. In February 2026, the Probate court suspended any and all powers of attorney Ms. Hicks created as they were deemed not legal. The Court is expected to rule this month that the Trust Ms. Hicks created should be invalidated as it relates to Conservatee, as this too was created without Court approval. Ms. Hicks utilized her paralegal and notary Regina Q., who was involved in the entire Conservatorship process, to notarize these documents despite the Conservatee not being of sound mind and without prior Court approval. Ms. Hicks is no longer attorney of record as of October 2025, but the serious breaches of her legal and fiduciary responsibilities to the Conservatorship continue to negatively impact ongoing court hearings to this day. I have reported Ms. Hicks to the State Bar for her serious breaches. I have also reported her paralegal and notary Regina Q. to the CA State Notary for her serious breaches in approving documents for the Conservatee she knew was in a Conservatorship and who she knew did not have the mental capacity to understand and sign any documents.

Would Give Negative Stars If I Could…read more My experience with this divorce attorney was absolutely terrible. He was beyond frustrating and will take advantage of you financially. I was charged for hours that were not spent working on my case and I had serious concerns about the accuracy of the billing. Additionally, there's proof he spoke negatively about me to opposing counsel, which is completely unprofessional and inappropriate. There are also serious allegations and reports involving this attorney that prospective clients should be aware of. Do your own research and review the public record before hiring him. I wish I had done more research beforehand. Divorce is already an incredibly stressful and vulnerable process. You need an attorney you can trust, who communicates honestly, bills transparently and advocates for you...not someone who treats you like Matthew. Based on my personal experience, I would NOT recommend this attorney. Do your research before signing a retainer.

Over the past 30 years, I have officiated many memorial services and walking alongside families…read moreduring some of the most difficult and heartbreaking moments of their lives. The loss of a loved one is painful enough, but that grief can become even more overwhelming when families discover that they must also go through the probate court process, hire an attorney, and face uncertainty about the future of their family home. It is heartbreaking to see people carry these additional burdens while they are already grieving. That is why I am so thankful for Gaudy Law and the help they provide to families through the creation of a living trust. A properly prepared living trust can help families avoid probate and provide a deep sense of peace, knowing that this important responsibility has been taken care of. My wife and I personally used Gaudy Law to prepare our living trust, and the entire process was smooth, organized, and easy to understand. From the very beginning, the communication was excellent. We received phone calls confirming our meetings, text-message reminders for our appointments, and simple requests to reply "yes" to confirm. As progress was made on our living trust, we received email notifications and regular updates. We were also given access to a convenient "My Case" portal where we could view messages, documents, tasks, billing information, and updates related to our trust. The billing process was straightforward and clearly explained, and all of the information was easily available through the portal. During our first meeting, my wife and I were thoroughly informed about the full scope of the process, including billing, communication, expectations, and the steps involved in completing our living trust. Since we had never created a living trust before, we greatly appreciated how clearly everything was explained. Jaclyn Duque was professional, knowledgeable, and completely transparent throughout the process. She carefully walked us through each page, answered all of our questions, arranged the notarization, and made sure we felt comfortable and fully informed before moving forward. God forbid something should ever happen to my wife and me, but because we now have a living trust, our children will be able to grieve without also having to worry about whether our home will go through probate. To me, preparing a living trust is not only an act of responsibility, it is a tremendous expression of love for your family. I highly recommend Gaudy Law!

Communication was poor, and we often felt that our questions were not fully answered. In our experience, billing was very detailed and applied to even minor communications or tasks, so I would recommend being very familiar with the process and billing structure before signing a retainer. We also did not feel adequately informed as the retainer balance was being depleted, which is important to consider if cost is a concern. Overall, I would encourage others to ask detailed questions upfront about communication expectations, billing practices, and retainer updates before moving forward with this firm.
