He checked up on me daily through my 5-day hospital recovery, and performed an excellent follow-up 2 weeks later. While I didn't have much of a choice in my surgeon as it was an emergency, if you have a planned surgery, you can't go wrong with Dr. G. My mom had a very difficult case that another doctor wouldn't touch, and another doctor told us to take her to hospice. Dr. Song not only took my mom on, but he also tried his best to argue with the insurance companies, and then find excellent replacement treatments and medications ones that the insurance rejected. We had an emergency at 11pm, and told the nurse not to call him. He took the call, spent as much time needed to understand the issues, and luckily helped solve our emergency. He is incredibly dedicated to his patients. He has visited my mom in the hospital on weekends, put her comfort first before trying to bill unnecessary procedures (like some other offices we've been to unfortunately). Sure, he does like to give a lot of advice, which I can understand may rub people the wrong way. But at the bottom of it he is trying to help all of us be safe, healthy and avoid problems. I am laughing that a patient did not know her dates and got mad when the doctor was annoyed. If you don't place enough importance on yourself to have your healthcare and medical history organized, and understand the doctor is being thorough by asking your history, not sure that's the doctor's fault. I would recommend Dr. Song in a heartbeat. I have never seen such a hardworking, dedicated oncologist, and am so grateful we found him. My mom is still alive thankfully thanks to Dr. Song.

Super anxiety ridden I called a few times with questions, they were great about answering my questions, getting back to me and never made me feel like a burden. He has super legit credentials from Sharp hospital. I went to his practice in La Mesa. He is beyond personable and does an excellent job of creating a safe space and comfortable environment for patients. He explores all options of treatments and gives solid recommendations as well as explains each option for treatment before recommending or scheduling any procedure. Most doctors are in a hurry to get you in and out, but he really wants you to understand your options. Love this about him! He genuinely cares about his patients and love what he does and it shows. His office staff are super kind and patient. They keep you informed and do a great job of communicating. I really appreciated that. How Mary manages all the patients with a positive attitude, coordinates everything, works in the Operating room and remembers everyone by name is beyond me. In reading the other reviews I was a little shocked to hear about the negative comments of others. Unfortunately people only tend to leave reviews when they have negative experiences, (hence the blank profiles with a total of 5 reviews - all negatively blasting businesses) but I was beyond blown away at the care and personalized patient experience I received from Dr. Dickinson and his staff. Also please keep in mind due to HIPPA and patients privacy I highly doubt Dr. Dickinson and his staff come on here to tell their side of those negative reviews and instead maintain their integrity and keeping patient confidentiality, again demonstrating another one of his remarkable qualities. Also, really not fair to doctors who have their businesses on yelp. Nonetheless, I think it's safe to say you're in the hands of someone who cares and is qualified. Rady Children's Hospital Orthopedics is one of the leading orthopedic hospitals in the world and Dr. Mubarak is one of the reasons for this high rating. Dr. Mubarak has treated my kids for years. Even though I had documented and further explained to Dr. Li that my body does not recover well from trauma, he did not hesitate in recommending this vaccine at once. My immune system could not deal with it. I was in terrible pain for a week; I could not sleep or eat, and I could not put on any clothing over my vaccinated arm. I nearly lost my job because I had to take several days off without warning. When I finally got an appointment for Dr. Li to look at my arm, he prescribed a pain medication that did nothing but make me so nauseous I could not get out of bed. How is this responsible medicine?

Well friends, I have finally reached the glorious 1000th Review! Exactly 10 years ago today,…read moreDecember 20th, 2006, I sat down at our desktop computer in the living room on Baltic Street in Kearny Mesa and decided to join Yelp and write a review about my dinner that night. We had gotten some sandwiches from a place called Gotham City Pizza (Now known as Giorgino's) and I decided to write about them. Fast forward 10 years, and here I am about to write my 1000th review for a man who has literally changed the life of our family His name is Dr. Timothy Fairbanks. A quick backstory first........ January 13th, 2014, we had our first child name William Joseph Strong. We were so excited to welcome him into the World and he was delivered without a hitch! A few minutes after he was born, during their first initial tests, the nurses noticed something wrong with him. He had no opening in his rear end. There was no hole there! They let us know that they had to take him with them to the NICU and then transfer him to Rady's (We were at Grossmont at the time). A parents worst nightmare. My wife was recovering from the C Section and couldn't even be with her first born child! Tears flowed, worry set in, and what should have been the happiest moment of our lives, turned into one of the scariest moments of our lives. We would soon find out that Billy was born with a condition called Imperforate Anus (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imperforate_anus). It affects about 1 in 10,000 children born every year. Rare, but most of the nurses knew what it was and had seen it before. In a simple cliff notes description, his intestines did not link up with his rectum/anus. Along with that, there are usually other deformations that come along with it. Thankfully, Billy only had two other issues (He had a nice sized bump under his skin on his back called a tethered cord and a small hole in his heart.) Things could have been a lot worse! Some kids have kidney issues, limb issues etc. These deformities occur during the first few weeks of pregnancy, so it wasn't something they could see on an ultrasound, and it wasn't something that my wife or me did wrong. It was just an unfortunate circumstance that we had to overcome. Thankfully, those issues were taken care of and cause no problems today! After being in the NICU for a few days, in order to create an opening for bowel movements, Billy needed to have an ostomy/stoma surgery. This is where Dr. Fairbanks comes into play. Besides having the best first and middle name (same as mine..Timothy Joseph!) there is, Dr. Faribanks is literally, a lifesaver. The first time I met him, I knew that things would be alright. He has a very calm demeanor, doesn't beat around the bush, and lets you know exactly what to expect and how to proceed going forward. During the first year of life, Billy had 4 major surgeries, and Dr. Fairbanks performed 3 of them. He did his ostomy/stoma surgery, he created a rectum/anus for Billy, and then did the closure of the ostomy/stoma once Billy could go to the bathroom "regularly". During all those surgeries, I had 100% faith in Dr. Fairbanks. Screw all the celebrities, athletes and CEOS that make millions and billions of dollars. The real heroes and people that should make all that money are people like Dr. Fairbanks. They perform life saving surgeries for children! Truly doing God's work. Saving lives, lending a shoulder to cry on, being a psychologist, all the while doing incredibly stressful work in order to better the future of America's lives! If there are Angels down here on earth, Dr. Fairbanks is one of them. Check out this small world story, too.... Our current surgeon in Phoenix, Dr. Katherine Davenport, studied/worked with Dr. Fairbanks in San Diego and was actually IN the operating room at Rady's during one of Billy's surgeries! Crazy how the World works. Small, small World, for sure! I will forever be grateful for what Dr. Fairbanks did for our son and other children in the San Diego area! Billy is going to turn 3 years old in about 3 weeks, and he is thriving, healthy and a normal little boy. Thank you Dr. Fairbanks! You will never know how much you have meant to us! The doctor is obviously competent and caring, but also has enough tough and humor to get great results from somewhat recalcitrant little old lady. Her assistant, Angie, has also been incredibly helpful and patient with us and the women at the front desk for the whole practice, who I'm ashamed I can't name, have been just so much fun and wonderful with my mother. I really can't recommend them all highly enough. They've made some of the hardest parts of life just that much easier. And in case you're looking at more than one site, I am indeed spamming this everywhere I can, because I'm generally not a reviewer, but so appreciate Dr. Jamison and her whole office that I'm doing what my mother told me to and giving credit where credit is due.
