I have been thinking about having my…read moreBathroom Remodel for quite a few years, but never wanted to pull the trigger because as we all know, at least in my experience, the most difficult aspect of any project is choosing who you will be working closely with. One day as I was in my AQUA CLASS, a fellow swimmer was also in the middle of a Bathroom Remodel. I asked who she had contacted to begin her project..........it was SD Construction !! As she raved about the service that had been provided, it took me less than a few seconds to pick up the phone and made that call. For me, I felt as though that was more than 50% of the project already completed just by making that decision. Now onto my overall review. Over the last 30 years in my home, I have subcontracted various projects throughout the years myself. I learned what was reasonable expectations and what was not! From the first phone call to Sammy, which ,by the way, was returned in two days, to the final day on a Sunday, every one of my expectations went above and beyond what I had previously experienced throughout the years. From Sammy sr, the owner, to the project manager, Sammy Junior, and every specialty aspect of a CONSTRUCTION project, plumbing electrical, Tile setting, it was similar to watching a well orchestrated dance. From demolition to completion, It was approximately a three week. Period. I would like to give a shout out individually as well. James R. Is an amazing Tile setter. He was perfectionistic, creative always punctual, and went above and beyond my expectations. James B. Who was my plumber for this project, was equally amazing. Always arrived on each specified day and time as scheduled. he had to demonstrate a certain amount of patience due to the fact that I had decided to custom order all copper trim for my bathroom. Needless to say, I had no idea the length of leadtime in receiving the end product. James B was here the next day to install all trim. Both the owner as well as the project manager were constantly in contact with me with updates as the project progressed. I have learned over the years 2 of the most stress provoking issues with any home project is lack of communication and commitment to remain on task. If there was greater score than AA++........it would be posted for this company. Communication and commitment was demonstrated throughout. OK, a sidenote about myself. I am not easily satisfied with less than a perfect outcome. Everyone on this project gets a definite additional score just for walking the journey with me personally. There's some things to be said about family owned businesses versus the huge corporations that we are bombarded with. Having professionally worked as an RN in a huge conglomerate where people became very insignificant. It was a breath of fresh air, to be heard as well as supported, working with this company!! Now to the best part of this review, I will add some pictures and proudly show what a great job this company did. Thank you, SD CONSTRUCTION. His whole team did a great job, from demo, to installation. They even went above and beyond and fixed several things that I didn't even think of at no extra cost, taking into account household safety. Freddy was very reasonable to work with. He's a super busy business owner trying to run his business while also doing work in the field. A lot of the negative reviews on this site likely don't understand how difficult it is to do that. You gotta have a little bit of grace for his schedule and the other jobs they're juggling, but across the board he worked with me on timeline as we had just bought this house and wanted to move in as soon as possible, and was incredibly reasonable. From a price perspective he wasn't the cheapest, but he also wasn't the most expensive, and his prices seemed very reasonable for the quality of work. I highly recommend him. I have to say again, I think it's likely that negative reviewers here either 1) don't understand how the trades work, or 2) were likely very difficult to work with as a customer, which always makes it harder on the contractor. I worked for about 5 years as a project manager for a construction management company and can testify that there was nothing negative about my experience with Medina Construction, interacting with the young business owner, Freddy, his father, or any of his workers.

I hired Cloud Nine to fabricate and install 2 sets of cabinets, a workbench, and epoxy coating the garage slab. The complete process from making contact, receiving an estimate with renderings, field measuring, fabrication, and installation was seamless. The quote was competitive. The fabrication and finished product was durable and attractive...everything was well made and top shelf. The complete process from my initial contact through final installation was 3-4 weeks, which is unheard of. Tim's communication throughout the process was superior. A common theme in our interaction with Corey and his team was their relentless drive to ensure we were happy with the work, even if this involved additional work on their part. Corey is a perfectionist and would redo work he wasn't happy with (even though we had a hard time spotting the problem!). Corey is honest and straightforward. Corey also came up with several simplifications during the job which resulted in cost reductions which he passed on to us. We really appreciated his honesty and transparency. His pricing was very reasonable (he accepts Zelle), especially compared to what it may have cost us if we had hired separate specialists for each area, such as a plumber, electrician, roofer, and others. Jose also deserves an A+ for communication. Even after he provided the PDF quote, he still responded to my requests, including edits to the quote and sending photos of appliances he had taken during the inspection. Some contractors might stop responding once they are paid, but Jose continued to be helpful and responsive. Overall, we are very satisfied with Jose and Quality Over Construction. We recently bought a house with high ceilings and very bare walls. We have been thrilled with the entire process and would not hesitate to hire him again should we have additional projects in the future. Chris was always punctual from day 1 of our consultation (in this day and age where everyone seems to arrive 2 hours after they say they will, this was huge for us working folks), did what he said he was going to do and kept up in the loop regarding the time line. The end result was even more spectacular than the sketch. We appreciated that Chris sets a high standard for himself and when the lighting he added wasn't to his liking at his workshop, he informed us of this and did what needed to be done to order other lights. Install was a breeze since the cabinets were built outside of our house and therefore we didn't need to take any days off of work. We're very, very happy with our great room built in and would highly recommend this company. If you're looking for punctual, upstanding people who put quality and consideration first and foremost, they're a good fit.

Chris worked with her to redesign the room. He let her know exactly what to expect ( cool, because she was really nervous/obsessing about the whole project) and then delivered and installed a new wall of storage. She got cabinets, drawers, a closet and even a window seat (!) and it all happened exactly when he said it would. It looks fantastic, and it's all really functional. That room went from blah to beautiful. The attention to detail in the cabinetry really made the room....It's now my favorite room in her house which is saying a lot because I really like her house. Now I kinda want to redo my house. I wonder how far Chris is willing to travel? Pictures to follow.
