Prepare yourselves, this is long but it's detailed and worth it. I was skeptical about vaping after years of smoking cigarettes and dipping, I've gone into a few vape shops and talked to the staff, seeing all of the different devices, juices, seeing the amount of vape that people can push lead me to believe that it couldn't have been better than cigarettes, it was a bit overwhelming to say the least. Mostly due to foolish male pride and my ego I was afraid of getting something that I thought was cool looking but then it not being of good quality or sending the wrong message, kind of like bragging about driving a BMW and then finding out that it's a 3-series but not an M3, if that makes any sense. Anyways, so I do my research, YouTube reviews etc. and that got me nowhere because they all say the same thing about pretty much every mod that they review. One day I decided, "Screw it, I'm just going to go into a shop and I'm not leaving until I get something, anything." I was tired of feeling constriction in my chest from smoking. So I go into a shop in the mall, walk in, and they pretty much ignored me, I asked questions and they kind of danced around it and then continued their social media fame or whatever they were into that was more important than a customer. So I leave, drive around, start heading to Twin Peaks for lunch and the attention of a woman who wants a good tip, and bam, I see "Vapor Lab" I pull up and walk up to the store, I look through the window and take a second wondering if it was an actual vape shop or a club/bar, I walked in and a gentleman by the name of Jay greeted me right away, he asked how he could help me and I told him that I researched but learned nothing and basically I'm tired of smoking cigarettes and that it was time for a change but that I was skeptical about everything that had to do with vaping. We sat their for a while and Jay educated me on everything they had to offer, the difference between mods, pros and cons, what he believed would be best for me and even answered every question I had about other mods as well but ultimately left the decision up to me, he didn't try to push something onto me that was super expensive and was very honest, unlike some other places that I had been to, he ran me through the ins and outs, showed me how to disassemble my tank for cleaning, priming the coil, potential issues that may occur like coughing up the cigarette gunk in my lungs as I get used to the vape as opposed to the 3000+ chemicals in cigarettes and what could happen if I over tighten the tank or don't prime the coils correctly, etc. He helped me as I sampled juices (I just want to fill a bath tub with Smax Pony On Acid and Vapor Lab's Exotic Explosion and sit in it and pretend I'm a rebulidable tank atomizer), we joked for a bit and I left super happy. That was all a while ago, but since then I have been going at vaping for well over a year now and every time I try to go to a different vape shop (because I like to try different places before I decide if something is good or not, which is why this review is long overdue) I never receive the same experience as I did at Vapor Lab, a lot of condescension and pushy sales people at these other places and their house juices always seem to leave a bad after taste in my mouth, I bought one house juice from a different shop that tasted pretty good on the tester but as soon as I got it into my Crown it kept making me feel sick and jittery, I looked at the bottle and the nic was 18 and I vape a 6 on the regular and I am very positive that I asked for a 6 and not an 18. Another thing is, I live in Addison not Frisco, I was in Frisco for work, Jay told me about the other Vapor Lab locations and even their Green Vapor location in Addison (different name, yes, but it's still a part of Vapor Lab) and I thought maybe going into these other places that the staff wouldn't be as helpful and honest as Jay was but no, Haley, Zach, Chris, Aaron, and Nathan all patiently educated me as I asked question after question (even some I already knew the answer to but still asked to see if I would get some sort of dishonesty from them), and they all helped and were confident in their knowledge. I've gone in to grab some juice or coils and sat there in all of their locations and watched as they educated customer after customer and helped guide them to making an educated decision.
