I am very disappointed with how I have been treated. I thought I could trust this company because…read morethey were sent out by my home warranty company, but I was told my the technician that came to work on my AC unit that it was low on refrigerant and if I paid to have it filled "everything after would be covered be the home warranty". I trusted his word and paid for the refrigerant. He said we would be back the next day just to check how it was running, however I had to be at work. So from work I got a txt that he found a "big hole" in the AC unit and that they would now have to talk the warranty company!? He gave me his bosses number, Mark to talk to about this issue. Mark informed me that the hole wasnt due to wear and tear and so they would no longer be able to fix the issue and I could take it up with the warranty company. Mark and the Technician did not even bother to put my AC unit back together after looking at the "big hole" together. I communicated with the warranty company for 4 weeks waiting for McLafferty to send them the service report. Mark was "on vacation" so no one could get a straight answer until he got back. I only got a phone call from him after the warranty company set up a new service request with McLafferty to come back to my house. He told me there was no point to come back and cancelled the appointment. He refuses to do anything to help me at this point and I will not be compensated for the money I spent on the refrigerant that is gone due to this "big hole" that somehow formed within the hours of his tech being at my house. This whole situation has been very frustrating and shady. No one should trust this company if this is how they do business.

My old boiler is about 65 years old. My 2nd floor radiators where not getting hot. The 2nd floor…read morewas always cold in my house. In the past, I had called 2 different heating companies to look at the boiler in my house. Both companies said my boiler was working fine, but yet my 2nd floor was still cold. I had called Lawerence plumbing to look at my furnace. Lawerence plumbing sent 2 technicians, Sam and Ed. It only took 5 minutes and they found the problem. The PSI in the water system was only at 5 Lbs, when it should have been at 15 Lbs. The valves that controls the water pressure in the boiler was corroded and stuck. The boiler system was old, and several other valves were also in need of replacement. Surprisingly, they were able to replace the old worn-out parts without breaking other parts. That's always the fear of working on old plumbing, things tend to snowball. They had to replace some bleeder valves on two of the radiators also. To make a long story short, Sam and Ed did a terrific job fixing my boiler. They were able to restore heat to my 2nd-floor without costing me a small fortune. If I ever need a plumber again, I will gladly call Lawerence Plumbing. They did a terrific job at an honest price. If I do call them again, I hope they send Sam & Ed again. The best part about these guys, their initial service fee is not outrageous, like I see with most others appliance services. The service tech they sent, Jerry, although a young man in his early 20s, he was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Luckily, my furnace only needed an adjustment to the gas pressure to place it back in normal operating mode. So my initial fee covered his visit and the adjustment, unlike other vendors I've used in the past where they look for things that they can charge you more or say they're about to break, just to charge you more money for the service. He was already told that the basement took on some water during the flooding. He proceeded to say that we needed a new blower, a new mother board and a new transformer. All to the lovely tune of $800+. We sought a 2nd opinion because we did have some knowledge of furnaces. Had someone with more extensive knowledge look at it. The only thing the furnace needed was an $83 mother board. And now, they send us a $199 bill for the service call. Highly unethical business practices. He wasn't even here a half hour. How many customers have these crooks ripped off prior to this. Never ever use this company and I never will again.
