The store is old, outdated, it always seems, picked over, not a lot of choices/sizes. Most of all, the service, is clearly very rude. After last visit, the service was so rude we won't be back to this location. When I went to pay, the lady at the register wanted me to give her my phone number, which I declined. Then she wanted me to sign up to the "rewards program" which I declined. She pressured me on it and I repeatedly declined. Then she wanted me to sign up for the Macy's Credit Card which I declined, again, repeatedly. I told her I do not want to be on your email lists. I do not want to give you my personal phone number or personal information for your "discounts." I don't want a new Macy's Credit Card I just want to pay for my items. She was clearly annoyed & gave me clearly, super negative attitude. Which is strange, as she clearly doesn't own Macy's so why does it even matter to her?? All this nonsense about giving your personal phone/info at every store is NOT for DISCOUNTS, it's just to collect your "data" to sell to Big Tech for more surveillance & control. I don't want to be on your "lists" I don't want another app on my phone, I don't want your employees to try to force me to give them my personal info. I do not comply. I will NEVER comply. And I will pay CASH from now on to boot. And I will never return to this location. The Clearwater Macy's is clearly, way way better. OuiOui. I hope I have made myself clear. Will never return.

Once we left the fitting room, people checked back in with us only briefly. There's a burger spot right across the street, so the limited street parking adjacent to the building could be occupied by those patrons (Perhaps on weekdays there are fewer patrons at the restaurant). There are a few spots in the back of the building which is where I ended up. I suppose you could park down the neighborhood street and walk. The selection was...underwhelming. I hate to compare businesses like this, but I frequent other boutiques with a similar target audience closer to downtown and their selections are much better. The prices feel out of touch to me, but that's not saying much. I don't like spending money. I found that the clothes weren't very size inclusive either. Would I go back? Sure. During my purchase, the exact same item was scanned twice and I was charged twice for it. I already use a very deliberate checkout system specifically to prevent this: I hand the cashier only one item at a time, with the hanger removed, and after the item is scanned it goes directly into the bag. Despite that, the same item was still scanned twice. I discovered the mistake after I got home. I called the store, provided my receipt information, and asked them to review the transaction before I returned. The next morning I had to make a separate trip back to the store solely because of their mistake. The duplicate charge was refunded, but returning money that should never have been charged in the first place is not compensation. I still lost my time, used gasoline, and had to rearrange my schedule because of a Ross checkout error. What made the experience much worse was the employee's behavior afterward. While I was waiting for the supervisor to review the surveillance footage, the employee involved was discussing me with a customer, pointing in my direction, and laughing. She also argued with me that "humans make mistakes" and that Ross does not owe customers compensation for those mistakes. Of course humans make mistakes. But customers should not have to pay for employee mistakes with another trip, their time, gasoline, and inconvenience. I also found her appearance extremely unprofessional for a customer-facing employee: a significant amount of bright pink underwear was visibly exposed above her pants. An "I'm sorry" does not reimburse a customer for the actual cost of somebody else's mistake. If you shop at this Ross, count your items and carefully check every line on your receipt before leaving. Otherwise, correcting someone else's mistake may cost you another trip, your time, gasoline, and unnecessary frustration.
