Another company cancelled…read moreon Monday who wanted $350 and $75 each half hour. we were drawn in by the Rainbow Logo on business card, but later learned they were not a gay own company. They said we had bugs, lied about it with phony pictures. We had a spray certificate from Armour Pest control. Which made for a very stressful day Don't be drawn in fancy black T-shirts and ball cap uniforms and Rainbow logos., It's meaningless.. Tom Trucker arrived in a 16 foot truck, ladened in graffiti Everything was ready to go in Toronto Brockton Village, with 20 eco plastic boxes, 2nd floor 16 stairs to street and all our furniture. T.T. showed up with two movers, who asked no questions, but were fast, efficient and courteous and had our bachelor live/work office in the truck in 20 minutes. After a short drive to Parkdale, up the elevator to our studio apartment. Truck was unloaded and everything in our place in under two hours, with no breaks. Since they have a two hour minimum $250 + HST we paid that and gave each of the boys a $20 tip. We recommend Tom Trucker and would use them again.

They advertise as movers but can do lots of other stuff. I got them to hang 2 IKEA lack shelves which have a reputation of being a hassle to put up. They arrived on time, got the shelves up quickly with no mess or disruption and everything went off without a hitch. The 2 men who did the job were super friendly and courteous and even helped me carry a treadmill inside from the garage (too heavy for me) before they left for the day. They reply quickly and have very competitive pricing. I will definitely be using them again when I have another job at home or if I ever need moving services!

They called me ahead of time to ask if they can deliver earlier than schedule and they were simply super respectful and cheery on the phone - which is the kind of calls you want to get early morning :-). It's not very frequent that you come across people delivering products who seem to enjoy what they do. They delivered a sectional sofa and they were very careful to navigate the pieces to ensure they don't damage anything. They asked politely if they can wash their hands as they rather not dirty the sofa. I think their names are Tim and Lucas if I remember correctly. I want to thank them so much for executing an excellent job! I highly recommend Home Installers! :-)

Disappointed with this service. I had several shelves/ mirrors/ pictures put on the wall by the…read morecompany. The floating shelves in the washroom were hung flimsy and became unsafe- the nails popped out within a couple of weeks. The shelves are decorative with no weight on them at all. I called the company back and asked for a follow up visit. When Arthur came the second time, I showed him that the nails were easily coming out of the walls in all three shelves. His reply was that this was fine and as long as there is no weight on the them, the nails will hold the shelves on the wall. I informed him that since this was the children's washroom, I was concerned that the shelves will fall and injure one of them. With that, Arthur immediately rehung the shelves with sturdy and safe hardware. Overall, I found the service unfriendly and expensive for the lack of quality it offers.
