This place is amazing. Alex is always so so happy and welcomes our little Luna in with open arms each and every time. Our shih tzu Luna has anxiety and doesn't normally do well with new people, but she is totally at ease with Alex. In fact, she cuddles up in Alex's arms sometimes! They always listen to styling requests and always get it right. They take a couple hours but we definitely see this as a positive as it means they are taking their time with each dog and ensuring perfection. We live up north and only come to Long Branch for the weekends and we refuse to get Luna groomed anywhere else. We always recommend this place to people who live in the area. read more

They are a top-notched groomer who can be trusted. The big issue is they are terrible at returning phone calls. They should probably just turn off voicemail so you don't expect a return call. read more

First time customer and this place is "PAW-some!! I'm a seasonal visitor to Long Branch and came in with my golden as a walk in for her nails to be trimmed. They did a great job on her toes but that's not why I wanted to write a review. While I was waiting for Amber, I noticed other customers coming in to drop off their dogs. The interaction between the staff and the dog owners is something other groomers should take notes on. They didn't just take the dog to the back. They spent time with each owner to make sure they understood in detail what type of cut the owner was looking to get. I appreciate this type of interaction so that there are no surprises when you pick up your dog. One dog in particular was a schnauzer. The interaction wasn't just "long, short, ears trimmed". The owner wanted to know specifics from the owner how much she wanted off the length of the coat cut, the face shaping etc. I was just so impressed. I see so many online reviews of how people are unhappy because either too much or not enough was cut and this goes to show that it's all in the details that the groomers pay attention to. Now I'm going to have to reschedule my visits down here so that I can come earlier in the week to make sure I can get her groomed here! Thank you!!! read more

7-11-20 I called Alex (the new owner) a few times to firm up taking 2 of our three dogs to her as they have anxiety over their nails being trimmed and together, my husband and I can't do it. They have little twiggy legs, smooth hair and are like Houdini's. EACH time I called, Alex was nothing but sweet, professional and I felt like she was going to be a great match for our 2 lil' babies; the 3rd baby I am able to do. She was fast enough and was loving to our dogs. It was smooth, calm and she's the bomb! I HIGHLY recommend her! :) read more

My big boy has recently gotten a bath at Vanity Fur and he looks great! I asked her get the 'Furminator' and they did it for an extra $10. If you are someone like me who has a 100lb dog come check this place out, the ladies are really nice and the dogs seem very calm unlike other grooming places. Maybe they are the dog whisperers? LOL My American Akita is shedding a lot less and I will bring him back in 6 weeks! He likes to play and drink the water and bite on the shampoo bottles so I was told! Thank you for making me vacuum less and thank you for making my boy look beautiful. read more

Recently brought our two poodle mixes for a full groom. They can both both tend to be a little tough and don't like to *cooperate* during grooming so we were hoping for a good outcome, as we told the groomer to do her best. Was initially very happy with the job done by the groomers here, but after being home for a few hours started noticing a few things that were a little unusual. One dog had some clipper burn, which happens when the clippers get too hot and aren't cooled properly or blades changed before continuing, on her nose between the eyes and another spot under foreleg, which has since began to scab over like a rug burn. Not the biggest of deals since accidents happen. The real problem was our other dog. Also has a bit of clipper burn on his groin/hygiene area but the REAL problem is his eye. Every blood vessel in his eye has ruptured! Leaving him a deep blood red eye where it should be white. The absolute only explanation for this is extreme trauma, i.e the dog being hit, or a very prolonged period of time the poor guy was being strangled by restraints on the grooming table. To me, this can only occur due to a complete lack of caring on the groomers part and in under no circumstances should occur. It's neglectful and dangerous to the dog. Just think how badly a dog would have to be STRANGLED or HIT to burst the blood vessels in their eye. Very sad. Caution to all who bring their beloved fur-family here! read more

More like Vanity Fleas. brought my dog in for grooming 9 months ago and he came back infested with fleas. The owner was apologetic at first and ofered three free grooming to "prove" there were no fleas, but today she got belligerent and said that she would not provide the thirds complimentary grooming because "I had no proof" My dog is 12 years old and the only time he ever got fleas was that day I brought him to Vanity Fleas. Furthermore, I spoke to my vet and groomer in the city where I used to live (as well as several other dog owners) and the opinion was unanimous that it was obvious that the place gave my dog the fleas and the complimentary groomings were an effort to protect the business after de-infestation. This dump needs to be closed. read more
