Buford Family Dental / Dr. Jong Jeoung…read more If I could give 0 stars out of 5 I would. I went to this office at or about December 2024 with persistent pain in an upper left tooth and specifically raised concern that I believed it might be cracked. I was told it was only inflammation from clenching and pressure from a missing tooth. Based on that diagnosis, I was two expensive devices - a custom-made night guard and a flexible partial denture and told this would resolve the problem over time. For months I followed all instructions exactly as given. The pain never fully resolved. The partial was not made correct, there was a large gap between the device and roof of my mouth; it never fit properly and caused food impaction, speech problems, and embarrassment from shifting and drooling. I repeatedly reported these issues and was told it only needed to "break in." When I later requested X-rays to take to a specialist because the pain continued, I was informed my dental membership plan had been canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was then denied access to my imaging and refused pain treatment. At that same visit, to replace the defective partial, I was pressured to switch to a cheaper metal partial even though Dr. Jeoung talked me into buying the more expensive plastic partial because it was, "better". I ultimately went to another dentist who found a severe vertical crack through the root of the tooth. The tooth was not salvageable and had to be extracted. I was told it could have been saved if treated earlier. After this, the Dr. Jeoung acknowledged in writing that "things did not go as planned" and offered to reimburse me, but only if I signed a full legal release. As of this writing, I have not been able to use either expensive device.

They now attempt to bill for services never rendered, and they provide estimates in the chair that later turn out to be wildly inaccurate. I understand insurance is complicated, but peace of mind is gone when a balance you thought was settled suddenly reappears as a huge new bill. For example, I paid several hundred dollars for a crown and was assured my balance was zeroed out. Months later, I received an additional bill for $1,700 more. This kind of surprise billing has become the norm, not the exception. If you value trust and transparency, I can no longer recommend Buford Family Dentist. Sadly, my advice is to stay away.

I schedule the appointment with no hassle and they did the exam and gave me multiple options to get me fix back to normal. I am so exited that I found Lanier Family Dentistry and I definitely know who's going to be taking care of me now. Also the hygienist Nadya R. also did an outstanding job cleaning all those stains off. Thank you guys and will definitely recommend them to someone who is looking for good dentist as I was.

But the staff at this practice is so incredibly personable, professional and pleasant you can't help but feel like they're extended family! Dr Alla Brown is the perfect combination of technical dental skills AND artistry with her cosmetic procedures. She explains all the procedures clearly, their benefits and drawbacks as well as the costs. When my decade old implant started failing, she noticed it and referred me to the best dental surgeon in the area. She also makes it a point to match your teeth shade color perfectly- giving you the very best in a movie star smile. If you are considering any type of dental cosmetic procedure, she is the dentist to see north of Jimmy Carter Blvd! Dr Brown is very friendly and her office is modern and nicely decorated. It is a very nice place to come and get your teeth up to speed. Can't say enough nice things about this practice, this dentist or this staff.

I cannot say enough great things about the Dentists of Buford. I came in with severe pain from an…read moreinfected back molar, and they were able to get me in immediately. Unfortunately, the tooth wasn't salvageable and had to be extracted, but they already have a plan in place for an implant. During that visit, one of the dentists also noticed a cavity on another bottom molar that was fixable. We scheduled a root canal and crown, and within just three weeks everything was completed. The crown looks absolutely beautiful. The entire team truly cares about their patients. The dentists were thorough, attentive, and took the time to explain everything. The front desk staff--especially the women up front--were amazing, kind, and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. I've seen some negative reviews and honestly don't understand them. Maybe the wait time can be longer at times, but the quality of care makes it completely worth it. They also offered the most affordable pricing by far, without sacrificing quality in any way. I was even able to get a payment plan, and the total cost was well below what other dentists quoted me. Dentists of Buford has earned a patient for life. Thank you all so much!

If you're looking for honest, ethical dental care, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere…read more My experience with Dentist of Buford has been extremely disappointing. There seems to be a pattern of exaggerating minor issues to justify expensive and unnecessary treatments. I've spent over $6,000 with this office, only to end up needing corrective work from another dentist and endodontist due to poorly done procedures, including root canals. That meant paying twice for something that should have been done right the first time. When I reached out to address these concerns, they were dismissive and took no accountability. The front office staff can also be very pushy when it comes to additional treatments, and their attitude noticeably changes if you decline. The lack of empathy, especially toward patients, is hard to ignore. I encourage anyone considering this office to read the negative reviews as well. You may start to notice a consistent pattern.

They're flexible with scheduling, always accommodating, and genuinely care. In stark contrast, I had one of the worst experiences of my life at Dr. Curington's office at the North Atlanta Center for Cosmetic & Implant Dentistry. I got sick and rescheduled an appointment--something most offices understand. But not here. I then noticed I was being overcharged for a crown procedure and decided to cancel altogether. That's when things got ugly. I was hit with a $4,200 "cancellation fee" for a service I never received. Yes, $4,200. And then they sent that outrageous bill to collections, deliberately damaging my credit. All for being sick and standing up for myself. At first, Dr. Curington comes across as warm and friendly, but that quickly fades if you question a service or refuse a recommendation. Based on what I've read in other reviews since, I'm not the only one who's experienced this kind of treatment. In my opinion, her concern is not your care--it's your money. Her staff reflects this as well, using pressure tactics and intimidation that no patient should ever deal with. After that nightmare, Magnolia Ridge Dental stepped up in a big way. Even though Dr. Curington refused to release my recent X-rays, Magnolia welcomed me, got me in immediately, and provided top-tier care--at a fraction of the cost. I truly cannot thank them enough. To anyone considering Dr. Curington's office: RUN AND DON'T LOOK BACK. And to Magnolia Ridge: thank you for restoring my trust in dental care.

I was shopping for a second opinion relative to my current dentist referral to ensure that service providers remain competitive and reasonable. I was very honest about it, and told the phone rep exactly which tooth I needed, and that I wanted to avoid wasting another two hours to go through another complete exam. The rep told me that "everybody is different. We cannot give you any price without an exam." NOT EVEN A BALLPARK RANGE. That is a COMPLETE LIE, which I will explain later... So the phone rep continues her sales pitch, stating that "the good news is we are having a Fall Promotion right now, and all services are 25-30 percent discounted." COMPLETE LIE #2. AND LIE #3: The Aspen Dental website explicitly states in writing that "Implants are 25% off". So... based on believing ALL THEIR LIES...I bite the bullet and decide to waste another 2 hours to drive to Aspen and go through an entire mouth of exams and xrays, when I explicitly informed them that "I need a single implant in a specific location." Fast forward two hours (not fast enough)... Their 9-month (YES... 9 MONTHS) extended multi-exam (aka MULTIPLE EXCESSIVE CHARGES) treatment plan comes back WAY higher than my regular dentist... AND NONE OF THE PROMISED DISCOUNTS (See Lie #2 and Lie #3) were applied. TOTAL VIOLATION OF FTC TRUTH IN ADVERTISING LAWS. And... coming back to Lie #1: The price they gave me for the treatment plan was created using a standard boilerplate pricing calculator template that HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE RESULTS OF THE EXAMINATION. Step 1: Select tooth location Step 2: Press Enter Step 3: Give would-be patient exorbitantly-priced 9 month implant treatment plan that is the same for everybody. They could have given me the same information over the phone without wasting my time for an exam. In conclusion: 1) This organization has zero respect for your time. 2) This organization lies, and cannot be trusted. 3) Who would trust their teeth to an organization that simply cannot be trusted? YOU DO YOU...
