It's all a performance. The real experience is stressful, expensive, and feels like a money grab. Nearly $2,000 for a basic evaluation with no actual treatment? Outrageous. I wish I was joking when I say I waited TWO AND HALF hours to be only seen for 15 minutes. When I was telling her my symptoms, and my previous medical history, she brushed it off as if it wasn't important (Maybe because 20-year-olds are immune to sickness????). She took my blood work, told me that she was going to run every test, and assured me that I'd know my results by the following week. I waited and heard nothing back, so I called about a week after she took my blood. The receptionist said she was going to call me two days later, guess what! She never did. So AGAIN I called back about another week and I got the same response. I called AGAIN today (5/2/2024) in the morning. The conversation went like this: Receptionist:"Let me get your info, and we'll give you a call in 2 days". Me: "I should've received my results and I called already 2 times before" Receptionist: proceeded to go through the entire month of Aprils call log to "assure me" that I've "not once after my appointment called to know my results". Me: "I did call, you guys took my blood almost a month ago, I need to know the results" Receptionist: "Well since you're new, let me tell you, that's not how we do things here and YOU HAVE TO WAIT two days for my call" and just hung up. Like why... In the time that it took for her to go day by day in the call log, she could've just told me my results. This practice is very unprofessional and doesn't seem to respect or care for their younger patients. Imagine if I have a severe illness or disease that could've been caught early but now because this practice likes to dilly-dally, it's progressed further, and has gone untreated. Each day counts. I would not go to this location again unless I was desperate since it happens to be the closest to my home. Waste of time and energy. Definitely go to a different location.

I had an 8 am appointment and I was seen almost immediately after being checked in. The ultrasound technician who works with me was Rebecca - I believe. She was so incredibly patient with me and explained every step of the process. I was nervous and they made sure to ask me if I was okay, if I was comfortable and I really needed that that day! The facility was clean and the waiting room had coffee and tea for the patients who were waiting. There was also a tv, magazines and lockers to stow your belongings.

Finally, after days of a chest cold and having no intent of driving into the City I broke down and went to see Dr. Aasmaa. I am now a believer! First of all, they had an appointment available next day which was great. Secondly, the front office staff was so pleasant and helpful I thought I died (pun intended) and went to medical heaven. The icing cake was Dr. Aasmaa herself. She was knowledgeable, patient and quite the listener. Her compassion was amazing and she genuinely wanted to hear how I was feeling and how she could help get me better!!!! Now for the negative. Well...there is no negative. It keeps getting better. I needed a prescription renewal and it was approved immediately for the mail in drug company. I had a side effect of an drug and her partner in the practice called me back in 5 minutes and wasn't even remotely annoyed. It makes me almost want to get sick again just to see Dr. Aasmaa - however this is crazy...I know...I know.

Her sweet and calming presence makes every visit comfortable and reassuring. I refer her to everyone I know because she's not only an excellent physician, but a genuinely wonderful human being. However, I do feel it's important to be honest about the front desk experience. There is one receptionist who answers the phone and tends to be unfriendly, which unfortunately discourages people, my daughter included, from wanting to schedule appointments. It's disappointing, especially when the medical care here is outstanding. Cheryl was always a favorite, warm, kind, and welcoming, and I truly miss her.
