I had used Vanguard Glass tinting 7 years ago for two bathroom windows and sunroom type kitchen windows. I liked their work, so I called them to redo the two bathroom windows to a darker tint. While at my house to give me a bid, Joe, the owner of the company, noticed a few small bubbles in the tint on one of the kitchen windows they had previously tinted. He immediately said that wasn't right and offered to replace the tint at no charge, quoting their lifetime warranty. Okay, I was really impressed. We subsequently had him re-tint the upstairs bathroom windows. I want to thank Joe for an excellent job and outstanding customer service. Joe went above and beyond to make me happy with the upstairs tinting. The windows look great, and the tint he recommended is doing axactly what we intended. First day of tinted windows, and I didn't even have to turn on the AC today (86°-88°) because the tint cut out so much heat. Already looking to be a great return on investment. Look no further for residential tinting! Our two upstairs rooms with southwest-facing windows were off-limits on hot days. Joe arrived the same day I called, gave a thorough education on the options (heat blockage, etc.), applied samples to the windows so we could see exactly how the tinting would look--from inside and out, and recommended that we see the tinting throughout the day (in different sunlight) before we decided. We ended up choosing an Irvine-Company-friendly tint (subtle, not shiny from the outside, but still an effective heat-blocker), for most of the windows, and a darker tint on some super hot smaller, decorative windows. The installers arrived on time and were very friendly and respectful. The next day happened to be a temperature record-breaker, and our two previously hot rooms were not only habitable, but actually a pleasure to be in! Looking forward to reduced electricity bills next summer :-) Overall, a great experience--knowledgeable, helpful, affordable.
