The quality of this chicken farm has gone way down, it's not like how it used to be with the old owners. To the future customers who are going to purchase chicken from this farm please BEWARE: 1. Pick your own chickens and avoid having this place pick it for you. 2. BE very specific how you want your chickens to be cleaned! 3. I can't stress this enough "look" at all your chickens before you take it home! Short story: I had made a large Order of 20 chickens and had my family looked at it before taking it home of course the few she looked at were fine from the top of the bag so we figure the chickens were in good condition. However once the chickens were out of the bags " A big surprise of chickens were all messed up looking! I mean the skins were torn, the chicken bones were broken and intestines were popping out! I'm sure the workers and owners see these chickens before bagging them. But I mean if a chicken is all messed up and skin torn why even bother selling it to customers like that. Moreover, as the OWNER states, if you don't check your chickens when they give it to you and you decide to drive off of the property the warranty for these chickens are over! Don't even bother complaining or calling because they ain't gonna replace it or give your money back! So the realization is CHECK all of your chickens when you get them! Chickens are fresh, good size, and decently priced. Easy to call ahead to order chickens for pick up. Too bad they don't have ducks anymore.

1. When you guy choosing (What's the point of choosing?) the chicken from this farm, don't waste your time, they WILL give you a SMALLER chicken that you didn't pick, like a left over. So check them right there. 2. Also check your order, don't wait until you get home, too much works to complain, because they give you the sick chicken, for example I got a chicken that got like a skin CANCER or something. Again, a left over. I can't drive back just to change a chicken. Just check them before you left the place. 3. They charge you 3% if you use credit card, ok that's a option but they they lied and just run the credit anyway, and pretend to tell you afterward that ops your bank charged you 3%. No, the shop owner USUALLY covers that 3%, not the customer, it's your bussiness. It's fine, but be straight up and tell customer from the beginning, don't lie that the bank charges customer, the bank actually charge the business that utilizes the credit card service OK, anyway. read more

Awesome experience! The helper at the chicken coup is a bit hard of hearing so you will need to speak up but great selection when we went. Purchased 45 chickens, 8 quails, and 4 pheasants. Took a while to pluck with automatic machine but great little shady outdoor waiting area. For a chicken farm it didn't smell too bad and the bathroom was clean. P.S. Listening to Hmong gossip was excellent entertainment as well. If you are in mood for fresh or live chicken come here. P.S.S. Nice lady also gave us some cilantro as well. read more

After having to pluck and gut what seemed like a never ending supply of chickens for my grandpa, I have a new appreciation for Vang's Chicken Farm. I lived in a chicken farm, so I don't particularly like to bring back such memories - BUT now that I have a choice to do it myself or have a machine do it for no cost at all, I'm favoring the machine. I don't mind that we have to go and catch our own chickens, it's not like they run wild in the farm AND they even give you a 5 foot stick with a little hook on it for extra arm length. For pigeons, you get a net (yes, they fly all over the cage). PLUS, they have little wagons for the chicken cages so that you wouldn't have to break your back carrying them back to the "plucker machine"... It takes no less than 30 minutes and you've got yourself 11 chickens, 10 pigeons ready to go all nice and clean... Of course, you still have to gut them - but that's WAY easier than everything else that comes before it. I don't know the difference - but my grandma definitely prefers fresh chicken over the ones that's been sitting in their packages for who knows how long. The place is in the middle of "nowhereland", but it's definitely worth going all the way there when you got a special request for some fresh chicken/pigeon/duck/etc. read more

Good place for cheap chicken on farm. You can pick or they pick, it can be killed and defeathered for $10.

If you want the freshest poultry money can buy this is your place. Live poultry of various types for a reasonable price. Besides chickens I saw quail, pheasants, and some kind of weird looking duck. They will kill and clean the birds for a small fee, or you can start your own backyard farm and get them live. Looks like the owner is trying to sell the place so not sure how much longer they will stay open, call before you head over. read more

Mr. Jung and his wife have always been very kind, patient, and helpful. They are easy to talk to, on the phone and in person, and I only speak English. I have had several birds processed here, very inexpensively ($3 each), very quickly (5-10 mins for one or two birds) and cleanly. I got them back thoroughly plucked and gutted, and only had to remove the oil gland, which is no work. Years ago, I bought a beautiful San Diego hen from them, just for eggs, and she was an amazing layer. Also, Mr. Jung has bought a number of birds from me, several breeds, no restrictions. They are very knowledgable about poultry and I enjoy seeing them and talking with them. They are good people. read more

This place is different from King Poultry on maple but the only reason why I like this place better is because their chicken have more meat and they kill it when you order, you can even catch or pick your own chicken for them to catch and kill. Keep in mind though that you'll have to gut the cleaned and plucked chicken at home yourself but then you also get to keep the intestines and guts if you're into eating that stuff. read more

She has a big heart... since I bought a lot of chickens from her she gave me 2 free chickens and some Hmong cucumbers. I like the fact that you can just call and pre-order, they'll have the chickens all ready for pick up and call you. It was simple and easy. I purchased two hens from here and they started laying two days after I got them! They have huge amounts of chickens, ducks, quail, and other types. In the eyes of the man that assisted us, I could see he loved his job. He is so passionate about having his own chicken farm and he was excited to show us what chickens he had. Neat little experience. Bought a San Diego Chicken for $8.50 and two quails for $2.25 a piece. They kill them on site if you want, $1 to clean the chicken and $0.25 to clean a quail. I recommend having them cleaned unless you want a free avian anatomy lesson. A little bit sketch, but the freshest birds you can find. read more

this place is one of the absolute best places to get fresh meat in fresno. I was looking for a place to get meat that was different from the same boring selection of mass produced chicken, beef and pork at the stores. this place may not sell rabbit but they have chicken, quail, duck, Guinea fowl and pheasants that are healthy, plump and amazing. the older man was friendly and enjoyed his job. they no longer will slaughter the animal due to new state regulations but im ok with doing it myself. I figure if im going to eat it I might as well be "hands on" and im a hunter so it doesn't bother me. his prices are more than reasonable. I got 11 quail and one guinea for 37 bucks. try buying a quail for 2.50 ea at the supermarket. I think I found my new supplier for chicken and exotic fowl for a long time to come. now if I could just get a place with some rabbit id be set! read more
