After *many* years of not having insurance, I was finally able to begin visiting the dentist. I was terrified of being judged, of receiving bad news, etc. However, my experiences at Vanek Dentistry have been far from those initial fears... I am truly thankful to have been welcomed and taken care of by such an amazing team. First off, dental assistant, Vivian, was absolutely amazing!! She walked me through every step, was incredibly gentle, answered all of my questions without making me feel dumb, was extremely patient with me, and overall gave me a great experience at the dentist (which is something I never would have thought I'd ever say). She has made my cleanings and root canal go by extremely smoothly and has made me feel more confident about being consistent with my dental health. Dental hygienist, Sandra, is very helpful and knowledgeable. Her educational approach helped me learn how to do a better job at taking care of my teeth. Finally, Dr. Vanek has been extremely attentive to issues that I had and maybe will have in the future. It is evident that he is well educated and wants the best for his patients. read more

How dare you Dr Vanek. The lack of compassion and care by this doctor was some of the worst I've experienced. As a cancer patient with tumors in my head, pending surgical removal, I cannot have unnecessary radiation right now and do not want X-rays. I explained this when I scheduled my appointment and then again to the technician who announced it to the doctor publicly in a room full of patients. His response "Well that's not her choice." This doctor prioritizes running up bills over patient health. I was astonished at how rude & heartless he was when he finally came over and talked directly to me. I felt so uncomfortable and finally left crying. Patients need to run away from doctors like this who don't care one bit about the person sitting in front of them and what they are going through. Everyone here besides the one technician named Jenny, was rude, cold and robotic with zero people skills. read more

Been going to Dr. Vanek since 2016 and wouldn't change a thing. Best dentist in OC and I'm so grateful to him, Sandra and Claire.

Bringing my 100 year old mother in for teeth care she was treated with complete kindness. The staff met us downstairs and received us with open arms. DR Vanek is a superstar of dentistry. read more

Just go to Vanek. Stop wasting your time researching any further and go here. I easily recommend Dr. Vanek to everyone I know and to all you weirdos on yelp. Great experience. Team is awesome. Easy to deal with, efficient and friendly. Real friendly, not fake friendly. My teeth were a mess, the team took me through the recommended treatment plan in a digestible way, from both a financial and scheduling point of view. From now on, I just kick back and do as they suggest -- they have my complete trust. Great halloween costumes too. I highly recommend scheduling a visit for 10/31/2025. read more

From the moment you enter the office, you were greeted by friendly smiling faces. I always feel welcome and taken care of very well. The staff is all incredibly friendly and helpful. Feels like I'm visiting friends and not going to the dentist at all. A lot of new technology, which is very cool. If you're looking for a new Dentist home, check them out. You won't be disappointed. read more

Dr. Vanek, Carol, Mariah and the entire office staff are such a pleasure to work with. I've went to them for years and have recommended family members there who are very happy. A couple of years ago I moved from Orange County to LA and started getting my regular cleanings done at a local dentist. Recently I had an issue where I needed permanent work done on my front two teeth and after getting multiple consultations in LA that felt more like high pressure sales sessions, I knew I had to go back to Dr Vanek and made several trips from LA to Orange County. It was completely worth it. Not only did they save me $1,000s of dollars by honestly talking me out of doing more work, but I'm confident he did the best job on my teeth. He's as much of an artist as a dentist and my teeth came out GREAT. I can't say enough about the team. GO HERE! read more

Dr. Vanek and his staff are absolutely incredible! I came in earlier for a broken veneer, and they did such an incredible job. My temporary looks perfect and I feel so much better. Thank you for everything you do! read more

I have been a patient with Dr Vanek for years. I have recommended him to those I know and they all reached out to me with complaints. The sales pressure for unnecessary work is huge. I sent a good friend in and he came back with a huge plan write up from Dr Vanek, that friend took this write up back to his old dentist and half of the work was valid. I trusted him with my son and he performed 15K worth of work, I now wonder if all of the work was necessary. My girlfriend had dentures done and call me crying because she couldn't eat or speak, she kept spitting them out. My boyfriend is having trouble with his crown. Vanek sat me in his chair yesterday, I have been complaining about a filling that was not done correctly and needed replacement for over a year. He finally listened and determined I should get a crown. He had a case plan in hand (in one minute) over to me to sign for $1100 and he wanted to get on it that hot second. My head is spinning from the experience. My filling simply needs replacement and that has always been the case. High pressure sales, aggressive call outs, and money is the goal. I am sad, his staff is amazing. But the focus of the business is one thing...drain pockets. read more

If I could give Dr. Vanek more than 5 stars I would!! I have serious anxiety and fear going to the dentist... even getting X-rays done makes me nervous. Today was my first procedure done by Dr. Vanek and it was wonderful. Every single person in his office is so helpful and really takes the time to answer ANY questions you might have even after they give you all of the information. I have never been so comfortable and impressed with a dentists office. I initially went in for a second opinion from a previous dentist who wanted to perform multiple root canals on me, Dr. Vanek has been able to save my tooth from a R.C. And is very hopeful that he can save my other "root canal" teeth to be just simple fillings. He is such a fair and honest dentist, he doesn't do unnecessary procedures if he thinks he even has a small chance of saving it. I can't believe that I'm saying that I'm looking forward to going back!! He is the absolute best! I'd refer him to anyone I know! Thank you Vanek Dentistry for being the best team I've ever had!!! read more

I had my tooth break the afternoon before I left for SEMA. Dr. Vanek, not only cleaned up the mess but gave me an onlay to get through until I could see him when I got back...painlessly. I've been looking for a dentist who is gentle, thorough and non - judgemental...found one!!! read more

Because Dr. Vanek has cancelled his Saturday golf game to come into the office to help me when I had an emergency. I have referred several friends to him and they have all been happy with his service and I have an amazing smile . Thanks to Dr vanek and his friendly staff read more

The women who cleaned my teeth was really trying to be nice even though she talked to me like a child but I know it was her just trying to be nice. Anyways this dentist tried to tell me I had like 8 or more cavities and had to do all this work to my teeth and questioned if I was a smoker and that I had to have some kind of bad habit to have teeth like this. I know it's been a while since I've gone to the dentist which was stupid and I know this and was really worried about going but I didn't need to be talked to like this. I was just hoping to find a dentist closer to me and this place popped up and had good reviews. I decided to just go back to my old dentist and he looked at the X-rays and only found 2 cavities although one will be a root canal. . But at least it's not like 8 like this dentist try to sell me on. Just beware people. Dentist are just out to make a dollar. If you are skeptical there is probably a reason. Another thing about this place I kind of felt once I left or once I leave this review they are gonna talk about me. Not a good experience. Crook dentist. read more

I hate writing negative reviews, which is why I didn't right after my visit. I've waited until I could confirm what I knew. So first the positive: Staff is really nice. Dr. Vanek is patient, gentle and kind. Very accommodating with my schedule. But I felt pushed and rushed into a procedure that he wanted me to do it asap, which thankfully, I didn't. I listened to my gut feeling and didn't have it done. Two dentists later, both have confirmed that I didn't need the procedure. I also thought the office visit, cleaning, X-Ray and exam costs were high. read more

I've been a patient at Vanek Dentistry for over 12 years. The team is wonderful but most of my interaction is with Jodi and Diana Perales, who are consistently most attentive, professional and courteous. After 12 years, I could not consider going to another practice! Thank you Jodi and Diana ...you both are AWESOME!! And many thanks also to Claire at the front desk who is always flexible and patient in working with my crazy business travel schedule, to secure my appointments. read more

Went in for a crown consultation. Made the appointment a week in advance with a super nice lady on the phone. Dr. Vanek's assistant Jonathan took my xrays. Dr. Vanek came introduced himself, very professional. He looks at the tooth in question. Took more pictures and advise I do not need a crown. That was great new in my part. He thoroughly explained what his plan would be for that tooth. I will recommend him to all my families and friends. I should have seen him sooner. The office is very easy to find, it's very bright and comfortable. read more

Dr V is great, he filled a couple of cavities for me and they were painless and very well done! He is very thorough and not pushy at all, he carefully explains everything he's doing and why he's doing it. I love the fact that he is conservative and doesn't try to push a bunch of treatment that you don't need. His staff is very friendly and helpful and he has tons of fun stories about kitesurfing and diving with sharks to keep you occupied while he's rooting around in your mouth! :) read more

I moved here from Boston and I had always gone to my Uncle who is a well respected Dentist there. I am so happy to have found Dr Vanek. He is very knowledgable and always clearly lays out my options. There are often pros and cons to various procedures and he takes the time to explain both the costs and benefits. My sons and wife also go to him and we all feel that we are in great hands. He has the latest high tech gear and I recommend him because he is professional, honest and reasonably priced. read more

I would like to thank Dr. Vanek and all his staff for professional dental care. I didn't attend dentistry for 3 years because I moved from another country so I had so many problems with my teeth. I was referred to Dr. Vanek by my friend and I am so thankful I found this place . The service that I get here is truly professional and the results are excellent. I don't feel any pain anymore. Dr. Vanek always pays attention to details and explains everything to me and his staff is so adorable and sweet. I highly recommend ! read more

Dr. Vanek and his staff are absolutely amazing! I recently went it to have two fillings and was really nervous because I don't have dental work done that often. Actually, I haven't had any dental work done in years. But I couldn't have asked for a better experience. They put my mind at ease and talked me through the entire experience. I would recommend his office for any dental work without hesitation. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars read more

BEWARE!! this is one of the most unprofessional Dentist office's I have been to. I would know this because I've had work done to my teeth since I was a little girl. It's very hard to find a trustworthy, gentle, super sweet welcoming dentist office. I thought I found Vanek Dentistry to be one of them until I had an awful experience there to where I walked out of there crying as well as crying in the dentist chair. Every time I call the people at the front desk are so unorganized it's a JOKE! they schedule the wrong appointments, they are always clueless most of the time and I feel I always should jump back there and take charge it's crazy!! Also I've had some awful experiences at the dentist so when I tell you that I need to be numb because it's going to HURT! I think I know what I'm talking about. Well that is what I told Dr. Vanek and he obviously was too lazy to numb me and wanted to get the procedure done quickly and thought he could just pop off my crown off of a huge back molar filling and pop on the permanent one all with out any medication!!!!!! so as soon as he popped it off YEP! I was in tears it hurt so bad I almost grabbed his hand, because that was my reaction to the pain. He then got really upset and made me feel stupid for grabbing his hand on top of not cleaning my tooth all the way before he put the permanent crown on and he was flossing in between my teeth for a good 20 mins and it was going through the tooth so he kept on forcing it so hard that I thought my head was going to explode! It was the worst experience ever and I was so traumatized I decided to never go back there again. He lost out on a great patient who was paying cash!! all up front lol so hopefully who ever reads this takes into consideration I would not choose this as your dentistry unless you are ok with all the above LOL GOOD LUCK! read more

I was referred here, and she had a coupon for me, the same one you can get from their website, $29 for Exam, X-rays and cleaning. Pretty good deal! I have not been to the dentist for..... I just haven't been for a while, so I had some anxiety. Allie was so awesome! she was friendly told me everything she was doing step by step explained everything to me, made me super comfortable! I was even more excited that my Electric Sonic toothbrush paid off!! No cavities or problems! Yay!!! What a relief! I asked her how that was possible, I figured after so many years, that things just happen, her only answer was that I was a good brusher, I'll take that! Dr. Vanek, came and sat with me looked at my x-rays and agreed, he was also super friendly. No high jacking here, there was nothing for them to report back to even try and get more money out of me. I scheduled my 6 month check up and was on my way. What Dr. Vanek also offers is DDS insurance, for those who do not have dental insurance, it provides you with discounts on all of the services you may need and no charge for scheduled follow ups. Pretty cool program to help people out. read more

I gave Vanek more than $2,000 for "surface fillings" that keep coming out. His "warranty" ONLY applies if you agree to see ONLY him as your dentist! No thank you! I'll pay someone else to fix his botched jobs. read more

I have been going to dr v for many years. He is always very thorough and explains everything to u. He has the newest technology and Jodi the hygienist is really great. I would HIGHLY suggest dr v. He makes it so easy to want to go to the dentist read more

I've been going to Vanek Dentistry for a couple years now and just went in for a cleaning last week. The scheduling staff was great, they followed up to confirm my appointment and were super understanding when I had to reschedule because I was sick. Jodi, my hygienist was very gentle as she took x-rays and looked over my mouth very carefully. They were concerned with my whole mouth, jaw, gums, and bone structure, not just the condition of my teeth, which made me feel confident in having them care for me long term. I especially loved the sonic cleaning, so there was very little scraping that needed to be done! Dr. Vanek reviewed the x-rays and Jodi's work at the end of the appointment and even though he could have recommended additional treatment, he suggested we wait and keep an eye on my issues. I talked with Dr. V about my migraines and initially he thought it could be TMJ, but after looking at my teeth and x-rays, he said that my headaches are likely caused by another issue and he wouldn't recommend a bite guard for me. I love when businesses are honest about what they can and can't do for you and don't try to sell you something you don't need. By the time I left, I had referrals for other businesses near where I just moved to and felt like a member of the family. Highly recommended. read more

Dr. V is a terrific dentist- I had a previous dentist say I needed a $1000 worth of work and I saw Dr. Vanek for a 2nd opinion and all I needed was a simple filling! Since then, have been bringing my kids to him who wouldn't open their mouths for anyone else- he is great with kids! Will send him business anytime! read more

Dr. Vanek and his staff have done an amazing job taking care of several of my family members and friends! He is an honest, straightforward, and highly educated dentist. Plus he really enjoys his work and it shows by how he treats his clients. Thank you for taking such good care of my family and friends! read more

Dr. Vanek provides excellent, conservative treatment and his office has great customer service. Before him, I saw a major chain dentist assigned by my insurance company who recommended 3 fillings. I questioned that diagnosis and got a recommendation for Dr. Vanek from a co-worker. Dr. Vanek said I did not need fillings, but that I had a few teeth he would watch and he recommended sealants. I did not even get the sealants right away, but kept up with regular check-ups and cleanings and got the sealants over time. Now, I've been seeing Dr. Vanek for several years and have never needed fillings or had a single problem with my teeth. Also, once his office mistakenly scheduled me for a cleaning after the hygienist was gone for the day, so Dr. Vanek did the cleaning himself. I can't say enough good things about their office. read more

Wow, Dr. Vanek and his people are amazing, professional, and beyond kind!!! I had this huge unknown scary dental situation going on for years. I was embarrassed and afraid to see a dentist. I went in on a coupon (which I am strongly against doing) and I took a chance. I am so glad I did. First of all, these people were so nice, gentle, positive, and sincere. They focused on the positive (especially the hygienist - Mary Ann) and I left there with a manageable plan, and my teeth sparkled. I felt so relieved and for the first time in awhile, I was eager to smile. (corny but true) They also spared me the dreaded lectures I get from the health professionals. Best of all, he's going to save my teeth! I thought I was doomed. What a hugely positive (and pain-free) experience. WOW. read more

My visit with Dr. Vanek and his staff was the best dental experience I've had. From the moment you walk in the door you are greeted warmly. His staff is professional and keeps your comfort in mind. The exam area is open and airy with windows surrounding the entire area. Dr. Vanek is gentle and thoroughly explains your treatment plan so you are fully aware of what work will be done. As he is treating you Dr. Vanek explains everything he will be doing in advance of the work. The office has all of the latest state of the art equipment to further improve your dental experience. I had extreme anxiety going to the dentist in the past. I felt totally relaxed under the care of Dr. Vanek and his staff. I would highly recommend Vanek Dentistry read more

Dr. V is an awesome dentist (and I HATE the dentist). He re-did some work that another dentist did (I knew it was bad even without x-rays) and he did it for an affordable price. I was forced to go to another dentist for a year because of a change in insurance and I'd rather have just paid the money to go to Dr. V. He makes it as pain-free and pleasant as possible. I actually switched dental insurance so I could go back to him! I highly recommend you see him for all your dental needs. read more

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Vanek and his staff! I chipped my front tooth when I was a little girl and have always had a filling there. You could always see the line of the filling on the tooth and mild discoloration. I thought this was as good as it could get and have lived with it self-consciously for years...until I met Dr. Vanek. He took one look at it and said he could absolutely fix it. I am a nervous dental patient, so even though I was very excited to get my tooth fixed, I put it off for several months. After yesterday's experience, I have not idea why I waited so long. Dr. Vanek explained everything up front and also step by step while doing the procedure. I had no pain or discomfort at all and the results literally brought tears to my eyes! My tooth looks fantastic!! you can't see where the filling is at all. In fact, I actually had to ask Dr. Vanek which tooth it was that he fixed after it was done as it looks exactly like my undamaged front tooth. He was even able to remove those pesky bright-white calcium deposits left over from my braces years ago. At 40, my teeth look more beautiful than they ever have and I have been smiling non-stop! From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Dr. Vanek and all of your wonderful staff for your skill, compassion and understanding...I couldn't be happier with the results! read more
