Someone told me about Bunge's Tire & Auto. This schmuck that answered the phone told me (Bunge'e not Casey Auto). That they might be able to squeeze me in to plug the diagnostic machine sometime today (it was 9am). He said the diagnostic cost $140 then said that even if they found something that was wrong they wouldn't be able to fix it today. I mean WTF? I'm 40 miles from Chicago what the hell am I suppose to do? I called Casey Automotive. They were also overloaded w/customers but Joe was able to squeeze me in plug in the diagnostic machine (no charge) & determine that it was a P3400. I'm not sure why the oil was low but he put a few quarts in reset the engine light 5 mins later & $15 dollars, I was on my way. Thank You Casey Automotive & Joe for helping me in my time of need . You are both very much appreciated

Pro: Loading our vehicle was a bit tricky because of its position on the side of the road, and because of the damage to the vehicle, but driver worked efficiently and carefully. Pro: Driver was kind, courteous, and patiently waited as my husband scrambled to find something to use for jacks for the vehicle. Con: Cost to tow our tiny vehicle exactly ONE MILE to our home: $125.00 Expect all tow companies to charge more than you expect them to. Con: I would recommend extreme caution if you plan to use this company to tow any great distance, and ask for an estimated price in advance. Also, they did not accept credit cards, we had to pay in cash on the spot. Summary: In the world of tow companies, I felt that this was as pleasant of an experience as one could possibly expect. No one yelled, the driver wasn't scary or mean, he arrived unbelievably quickly and was careful with our vehicle. The price seemed outrageous (for jusy one mile!), but aren't they all?

Pulled into the first gas station I saw and they recommended Pancho's automotive, just down the road. Pacho gave me instructions to his shop and even stood out front with a flashlight to make sure I got there OK. Took the car for a test drive and checked it from bumper to bumper. He diagnosed a problem with the transmission, but it was too big to fix that night. He also found that my car was very low on oil and filled it up. He calmed my fears and got me safely back on the road. After almost an hour of work, the only money he would take was to pay for the oil! I am thankful I found such an honest shop and would recommend him to anyone with car trouble. Thank you so much Pancho!
