Despite never speaking with me directly, she requested that I provide all of my supporting documentation. After I complied, I was issued a non-engagement letter. What is especially troubling is that I was told only after turning over sensitive information that I needed to secure a "right-to-sue letter" before she would even consider the case. This left me feeling misled and exploited. An attorney has a duty under the Rules of Professional Conduct to communicate directly with prospective clients, avoid conflicts of interest, and safeguard confidential information. The way my matter was handled raises serious questions about professional ethics, confidentiality, and potential misuse of client information. Even after I obtained and submitted the right-to-sue letter, I received yet another non-engagement letter. At no point did Ms. Anderson ever take a call or conduct a formal intake with me. This pattern of behavior felt unprofessional, dismissive, and--frankly--discriminatory. In my opinion, this is not how a reputable attorney should treat potential clients. Proceed with caution if you are considering working with this firm.
