I am going to preface my review of MedSpa Club and my "savior" Irene with a quick synopsis of my…read moreplight since November 2019: - I was diagnosed with Lumbar Stenosis, Arthritis and Disc damage back in November of 2019 after weeks of sudden and excruciating pain. - I went the traditional route of seeing a Pain Specialist and getting 3 rounds of epidural injections between December 2019 and early March of 2020 (just before the CoVid shutdown). - I was managing the condition really well all through the shutdown, I kept active despite being out of work. - Out of nowhere on New Year's Eve 2020, I was awaken with intense, burning and excruciating pain in my right glute, hip, inner thigh...REALLY INSANE PAIN. - This went on for weeks and due to the CoVid restrictions I was not able to get back to my Pain Management Doctor right away. My PCP took "mercy" on me and gave me a steady supply of Percocet and occasionally Prednisone so I could at least get out of bed and try to function. - I was finally able to get my first 2 rounds of epidural injections in February and March...unfortunately, they did not "kick in" like 1 year earlier and I was still mostly bedridden, walking with crutches and immobile. My Pain Specialist and PCP were both telling me to make peace with the notion that I would have to have surgery. - I was not thrilled with the prospect and decided to seek out alternative therapy. With money being tight and not sure if my insurance would cover such treatment, my daughter told me to search GROUPON for Acupuncture Therapy...and Voila, I discovered MEDSPA CLUB just blocks from my home and in the new FLUSHING COMMONS building. From the moment I walked in I was met by a pleasant and professional staff. The big bonus was that upon entering the office, I discovered that MEDSPA accepts almost all insurance plans, so beside's the 4 GROUPON treatments I paid for, I was approved for an additional 12 treatments through my insurance. Since my initial visit on February 27th and as of this post all I can say is WOOOW! Irene and her staff have "saved me", I felt improvement from Day One and have continued to improve with each visit. Irene is a "magician" with the acupunture needles and trigger point therapy and her staff of massage therapist's and physical therapist's all go above and beyond to keep me on the path to wellness. I no longer need crutches to walk and my balnce has returned. I have been able to sleep through the night without pain since my first visit (I was in pain at night from New Year's Day through the end of February) and I have been able to resume a exercising on my spin bike and with resistance bands. The office is clean, the staff is great, I highly recommend MEDSPA Club and Irene and her Magic Needles. I will be "sticking" with them for a long, long time. Location for me is everything cuz I'm a creature of convenience, so having this place within walking distance of my work place (where I accumulate so much sh...stuff to begin with) is clutch! The place is CLEAN which can go without saying, but is absolutely the bare minimum of what is needed from a place collecting our most unmentionables (I can't help myself). A very friendly attendant/nurse? helps you to your room, and are standing before the Poop Collector, a massive system that's gonna fill you up so you can empty out (I can't stop laughing). Anyhoo, she explained that I'd be flying this poop mobile solo, which, EVERYONE wants to do...do. She talked through that first push and I was so happy to see her leave the room. For the next 30-45 minutes I experienced what can only be described as a trip through my dietary history, where with every push out I recalled all the horrible things I'd eaten to land me on this throne. Not gonna lie, after you get past the butt plug, water guts, and pool of your own soup that your butt is sitting in, it's a really good feeling. She comes back to explain that you gonna pop off the probe and then release them innards until you feel empty, the rinse off with a hose (that if you aren't careful can wet up the whole room) before baby wiping and getting dressed. I felt so cared for and decided that I would get the 4 pack cuz this gut is my main priority. In other words, clean your butt system here. I first went to see Beauty Health NY over the New Year wanting a mid-winter refresh and help w a botched threadlift from another provider. My practitioner told me that threadlifts leave scarring and tthat given my goals: overall refresh and wanting to get my contours back (heart shape : cheekbones and jawline) and my eyes refreshed that she recommended a non-invasive Ultherapy treatment to create lift at the lower levels of my skin with PDRN to treat the upper layers of damage. Now, I had never heard of PDRN and truthfully it sounded a little too good to be true. PDRN are stem cells from salmon. I have found no one but Beauty Health NY who knows how to do PDRN. The treatment is pretty simple. The stem are injected in places where there are fine lines or mild scarring or even small hollows. For me my problem area were my under eyes and the texture of my upper eyelids. Everyone warned me that Ultherapy was more painful that childbirth. So, I was worried. Turns out it was nothing of the sort. The therapists glides the Ultherapy device over your skin and Ultherapy feels like mild prickles along the skin, while looking at a map of the musculature of your face. I almost fell asleep. The results are almost immediate. The fine lines and dull grey under my eyes completely disappeared (PDRN), my cheekbones are more lifted and my friends joke I have the jawline of my 21 year old self. I've been back for another series of treatments because the results compound and are cumulative. The PDRN works synergistically with the Ultherapy to give immediate and measurable results. I can't thank Beauty Health NY enough. Ultherapy and PDRN are worth the investment. They are painless with no down time and the combined therapies are kind of magic. This review is purely based on my experience with Nawa…read more I have a wedding in March 2020 and wanted to try something to get rid of my acne scars in my nose. First time getting something from Groupon and this place has good reviews on Groupon and also on Yelp as well, so I purchased 2 microneedling treatments from Groupon. It was my first time getting microneedling, but I understood all the side effects It could cause. During my first appointment (12/13/2019), Nawa mentioned that she shouldn't do deep microneedling since I have thin facial skin with visible capillaries around my cheek area, and capillaries will burst (hint, she knew how microneedling can damage skin). The first treatment did not cause any scars, but also did not really improve my skin either. I totally understood because only one treatment will not improve anything significantly. Second treatment I received a month from the first one totally ruined my life and this is why they will end up getting 1 star. During my second treatment (1/10/2020), my face kept moving as Nawa was doing procedures and I thought it was too strong, but I was told that she has 5+ years experience, so I trusted her. After the treatment Tatinana (she was a new tech and was shadowing Nawa at that time) whispered to Nawa if my cheek is okay. I wasn't sure what they were talking about, but I saw extremely dark red marks on my right cheek after the treatment. I thought they will go away in a few days like any other redness that I got from this treatment. After a few days, I noticed extreme burning sensation, redness and blisters coming up where Nawa pressed hard, so I bought otc hydrocortisone cream and applied on my scars. I didn't contact them right away because I wanted to wait for a few days to see how it goes before contacting them because hydrocortisone helped a little bit. After a week, I realized it won't go away within a few weeks, so took pictures and emailed them on 1/20/2020. It was a long weekend and they were closed, but the doctor, manager and also Nawa contacted me separately to give me advice. I had to CANCEL my wedding photoshoot session that was held on 1/25/2020 because I couldn't put makeup on my scars. I also contacted groupon and got a full refund from them. When I revisited them on 1/21/2020, doctor gave me oxygen-vitamin facial treatment to expedite healing and got mixed ointment (Cicalfate + Vitamin A&D ointment + Neosporin + Cortisone) to apply, but I wasn't informed that it will discolor my skin. If you see a picture (1/22/2020), it discolored my skin completely, so I had to be careful applying it. On 1/28/2020, I went in for another check up and had another oxygen-vitamin treatment, but as you can see, there is a huge difference between treatment I received by a doctor and by a tech. On 1/28/2020, Dr. Ravita clearly told me that she will give me a bridal facial treatment a month before my wedding and told me to come close to weekend because it will cause some redness in my face but will make my face gorgeous at the end. That was why we made an appointment for 2/13 (we = a receptionist and I, not sure if a receptionist heard what I was planning to get on 2/13, but she clearly heard dr saying to book my appt either Thurs or Fri). I forgot that I had a plan on 2/14, so I called to change my appt to 2/11. But when I went for my appt on 2/11, doctor changed her words and told me she never said giving me bridal facial treatment. She said why she would cause extra redness in my face (which is true) and she already gave me $500 worth of treatment. First of all, I didnt ask for another treatment, second, I was definitely annoyed because I feel like she did not really acknowledge what her technician did on my face before my wedding (or in general). $500 is nothing compare to what Nawa did on my face. Anyway I didn't bother asking for bridal facial treatment because scars were healing about 75-80% better and I go to my professional facial cleansing/massage place monthly. It's been more than a month and scars are fading away. I cried so much literally every single day after I had my second treatment. Who wouldn't cry when you have a wedding in a few months and got huge scars like that on your face... I told them that I don't heal fast anymore. Not that I ever had huge scars like this on my face in my entire life, but I am in my 30s and I am not a teenager anymore. I drink more than a gallon of water a day, take vitamins, and don't really put makeup on everyday in general (no make up at all after the incident), but aging can definitely delay healing no matter what you do. Don't get me wrong. I do recommend seeing Dr. Ravita for any skin problems since she is a doctor (and also an owner) and she knows what she is doing, but I do not recommend seeing Nawa. I really wish this never happened, but it is what it is. I guess it is my fault getting cheap groupon offers, but never again.

She then showed me the brand new nozzle still in the sealed pack and explained how to use it. BWC uses an OPEN machine, which is operated by the patient and the patient must use their muscles to hold and release the water - unlike the CLOSED device where the therapist stays in the room with you and operates the machine. It took several minutes for me to figure it out and I had to intercom the lady a couple times for advice. Its awkward, potentially messy & a little tiring but it got the job done.
