Don't be surprised when coming here that the parking lot is diabolical on the weekends - good luck trying to find a spot ! I came here once on a weekend & I would not advise - even street parking is scarce. Your best bet is to come on a weekday & you'll most likely find a spot in the teeny lot on Gardenia. THe store only has 2 registers & it's a zoo on the weekends. If you have craving for Khmer food, come here... chances are they have it. Beef skewers, pickled veggies, nom kom, to name a few. If you're looking for fish sauce or oyster sauce that's specifically made in Cambodia, they have it which I haven't seen at any other Khmer market or asian market. For how little the store is, there's a lot jammed inside. I was happy to find kreung here as I am too lazy to make my own ! and another rare find, Monk Balm (think tiger balm), & other medicinal items. You know the place is legit when you try asking a worker a question & they know NO english. If you're unfamiliar best to bring a Khmer speaker with to help assist in any questions.

Riverside Supermarket is now operating Under new ownership since 5 months ago…read more I did notice a few changes as i walked in the store. The merchandise on the shelves are more organized, shelves are cleaner and arranged in a more organized way. Of course the selection of fresh seasonal vegetables, fruits, ready made hot Cambodian cuisine and Cambodian desserts remains the same. So far the new owners were friendly and engaging .

This second visit, we also stocked up on a bunch of mangoes and ube ingredients, planning to make something different next time. The store itself is small but well-stocked. There's even a small deli inside. I noticed quite a few products and canned goods here that I've never seen at Vietnamese supermarkets like SF. The seafood and meat section seems to be one of their main strengths because it takes up a large area and everything looked pretty fresh. For dry goods and pantry items, prices are worth comparing with other Asian markets. Some Asian instant noodles and rice I saw were slightly more expensive than H Mart. Overall, even though the store isn't big, it carries most of the essential items you'd be looking for. Island Pacific Supermarket and Seafood 3300 Atlantic Ave, Long Beach, CA 90807

I can count on Island Pacific to have the quality milk and OJ I need as well as the Asian produce and ingredients. Their prices are reasonable and their meats are better quality than the neighboring competitors, so, I will keep coming here.

"Honesty is the best policy" my…read morefamily have supported Tropical African market for over three years and I've yet to write a review. The condition is a bit run down and unsanitary. PSA: please tidy up this store if you want customers to come. Pressure wash, paint job, fresh flowers, a mop & bucket... etc etc The store is a mess, dust everywhere. You're not greeted with a smile when you enter. Everything is outdated. Things are placed on the floor and shelves sloppily. Disorderly. The dust, the dust. I have question if the products sold there are expired due to the amount of dust on them. I absolutely love to support my Africans brothers and sister but at this point if you're not willing to upkeep the establishment please let it go to someone who can and will. It's evident the place is burdensome to the owner( patience) she never seems happy. The people who fill in for her constantly is not knowledgeable about the store or the products. ONLY reason we go was because of the distance, lens our support and not willing to go further. It's an eye sore when you walk in. Products are never always available, why wait till you completely run out items to now reorder and lose customer,?! you lost out business. Several times I went there and what I wanted wasn't available, when asked when it'll be there "their still waiting" after how many years are you going to get a RELIABLE source?! Unprofessional. Invest in your store.

Her response to my review is long detailed and very odd to me because my review is positive with details and pictures so her cherry picking my entire review is perplexing to say the least. I wish her continued success. Shawn C. My Yelp Review. I love getting out to support new businesses I saw Idowu African market on TikTok I wanted to stop by and show my support Located in a quiet residential neighborhood it's lowkey and a few blocks from the beach. With very limited parking on the street it took a minute for me to find a spot 5 minutes later a spot opened up in front of the market. Upon entering I'm greeted by a tall woman with a beautiful accent and smile. I realize that the beef & chicken patties I stopped in for is frozen and they only have spicy and no chicken. I looked around the store to see what they have and its small store with lots of interesting items and I immediately zero in on something good. Here's what I chose. Spicy Beef patties They baked up very well didn't taste too spicy and had a nice flavor I definitely will return and purchase them again. 8/10 Spicy plantain chips very crunchy with a nice kick they have a salt sweet thing going on. 8/10 Chin Chin It's tasty and I appreciate the kind and free gift. 6/10 Spiced Bun Thick and not very sweet I love it with a piece of 10/10 Matouks Pepper Sauce. Very good 10/10 This store appears to still being stocked but they have lots of specialty items and theres so much I want to try. Until next time. Just me Shawn C

Let's support this small business! A great addition to this neighborhood :).
