I'm giving it 4 stars for the following reasons:
It's very quiet, to the point it may be boring for some. The camp pads are cement and areas very clean. They do have hiking trails from what we did see, but came in on Friday in torrential rain. That being said, I go back to cement pads, no mud to track onto trailer. I heard that this place had been closed for a while and they worked hard and spent money to get it open and running.
My biggest complaint is that when you google directions it takes you to the actual state park of the same name. You actually have to look up there address and type it into your map. Every time I look just using the name it defaulted to the state park. That park is 1.6 miles away. There was just under a dozen or so campers.
There is entire section dedicated to equestrian, I didn't see horses there but I did see some trailers and horses in the other entrance before this one. It seems that they can bring there horses and go through a few hurdles (I have no clue what that's called). Looking forward to roasting marshmallows by the campfire, and just relaxing. No stress, just nature. read more
