We also each got one free drink at the bar! I do wish there had been a little more Christmas feel in the room itself since there wasn't any holiday decor inside, but the hotel and surrounding area were gorgeous. The park right behind it was lit up beautifully with activities, which made it such a fun place to walk through. Parking unfortunately wasn't great since there were only a handful of spots, so we had to park a bit far away and walk back any time we left. The bed was super comfy and cozy, and room service comes from their restaurant so the food was delicious. The woman at the front desk was incredibly sweet and accommodating, and they also have extras like toothbrushes and other essentials if you forget anything. It is on the pricier side, but if you want to treat yourself for a special occasion, I highly recommend it. We're already talking about making it a tradition.

BED BUGS!! Extremely Disappointing Experience - Not the Hilton Standard We Expected…read more My family and I stayed at this hotel while traveling for my niece's wedding. This hotel was included on a list of recommended accommodations provided to wedding guests, so we trusted that we would be staying somewhere that met the standards and reputation associated with the Hilton name. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. During our stay, I discovered bed bugs in my room and suffered several bites. This was not only upsetting and uncomfortable, but it also raised serious concerns about the cleanliness and condition of the room. To make matters worse, I was assured by management that my room would be complimentary because of the situation, yet I was charged anyway. We were also promised complimentary snacks from the hotel's snack store for my family, only to discover that we had been charged for those as well. Having to deal with these unexpected charges after such an unpleasant experience made an already frustrating situation even worse. Now, in addition to the discomfort and stress of dealing with bed bug bites, my family and I have the added concern and expense of treating our clothing and laundry to help prevent bringing bed bugs into our home. This involves additional costs for laundering, dry cleaning, and other precautions. We are highly disappointed in how this entire situation was handled. When guests encounter a serious issue like bed bugs, they should be treated with concern, professionalism, and respect. Promising compensation and then charging the guest anyway only adds to the frustration. As a Hilton property, we expected a much higher standard of cleanliness, customer service, and accountability. Unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations. What should have been an enjoyable trip to celebrate a special family occasion instead became a stressful and costly experience. I hope management takes these concerns seriously, addresses the room conditions, and follows through on the commitments made to guests. Based on our experience, I would encourage others to carefully consider these issues before booking a stay.

It's super close to Highway 1 and If you're coming from Holly Springs, keep your eyes open after passing the McDonalds. The parking doesn't look particularly plentiful, yet it seemed to do just fine. The lobby desk was accommodating, but unavailable each time I needed them. Luckily they have a phone up front for you to contact them, and they answered me immediately. There are amenities that were useless to me, like the 24 hour laundry and CD rental. They also sell bottled water at a buck each, so make sure to stop at the gas station across from the Waffle House (down the street) for a better deal. And since it's an efficiency, stock up on a little food for the fridge. Williams St. is packed with businesses, but there's one lone grocery store near the hotel, by the railroad overpass. There's also a Walmart by this location, but finding it takes some ingenuity if you're not familiar with the area. I thought the wifi was particularly weak and struggled with it. I was also not a fan of the TV lineup. I've been to hotels that had a much better On Demand assortment, but here you'll just get bare bones cable and a cheap remote to surf it. And the toilet sucked. Since the toilet paper rod is literally BEHIND you while you sit, and jammed close into the ribs, using the john was a lame experience. Hopefully not all the rooms are like that. I'm still a fan of this spot because of the $80 price I paid for one night (spur of the moment), the ultra-clean presentation, the very friendly customer service, and the convenience to everything you might need. Most importantly, the bed was ridiculously comfortable. I hadn't had such a relaxing night's sleep in a long, long time. And that might be swaying my vote toward the 4-star range.

The easy parking and convenience to local establishments are good sells. There is a continental breakfast that I did not take part in, but I did see in action. None of the eaters looked displeased, so I guess that is a good thing. As far as the rooms go, its basic faire with a few peccadilloes thrown in. For instance, in my room, there was a chair that was primed for sitting in and reading. But the standing lamp was placed way on the other side of the room. I'm kind of nitpicking with decor issues like that, but they become big deals should someone wish to...you know, sit and read under a light. Another reviewer mentioned the thin walls? I have to agree, because every time somebody in a nearby room flush the toilet, I heard it. Not the biggest problem, I'm just lucky I wasn't placed next to anybody loud. And speaking of bathrooms, mine had a door that was badly installed, making it very difficult to close as it rubbed against the floor. That's just clown shit. The water pressure was terrible and it never got hot. It could very well have been one of the worst showers I've ever had in my entire life. I'm just about 100% against coming back here for dread of a lame shower experience. However, sleeping was good, with choices between firm and soft pillows. I think the toughest situation I had to deal with was getting online. For some reason, neither my phone nor my laptop were interested in finding the log on page. Fortunately, I carry an old phone just to play games on and it zipped right to the login page. So all I had to do was copy that URL to my other devices. Nobody who worked there knew how to get around this. If I ran the hotel, I'd have that page address written on the hotel wifi instructions sitting right there on the desk. Now that I think about it, my stay was not even "okay." It was merely fair.

Cereal, toast, waffles, yogurt, juices, fruit, eggs and link sausage. Eggs were barely passable. Wonder if they were powdered? They weren't very good. Sausage was what you'd expect. Breakfast is low-quality and management appears to have taken a conscious decision to stop putting it out an hour before close unless guests actively ask for it. The front desk makes a conscious decision not to replenish what is already a paltry spread until someone asks for an item that may or may not be out - an hour before breakfast ends. The wifi is also awful and totally unreliable - you can't do anything online. After checkin, we found our rooms directly across from the elevator. Not only was this unseemingly noisy, but it also started literally raining in our room our first night. Credit to the manager, Mr. Naik, for quickly moving us to another room the following morning. However, his hotel is not up to any known standard that Choice Hotels sets forth. What an incredible disappointment and miserable stay at a shoddy location.

I was ensured that wasn't the case and to my surprise it wasn't the fridge had a totally separate freezer department which froze the ice packs great. The room was older for my liking but only needed for the night for us to get some rest before our long 5 hours and 30 minutes. Other than that, AVOID THIS HOTEL at all costs. I'm a believer in the Hilton Brand and frequently stay at Hampton Inns during my business and personal travels. They're a reliable choice in the affordable hotel category, and usually they're clean, comfortable, and reliable. But this location fails on almost all levels. I cannot BELIEVE Hilton allows this place to retain their franchise status. This place was an absolute pit - probably one of the grimiest hotels I've ever stayed in. Yes, it was outdated, with shabby, worn furniture and fixtures. But that's not a deal killer - you can still keep a place updated with a fresh coat of paint and regular carpet cleaning. This hotel, though, has clearly made little to no effort to even try to maintain a little dignity, even if the decor is right outta 1992. Featuring sticky, suspiciously stained carpets (in the room and halls), bedsheets that seemed clean but faintly smelled of cigarettes, doors that looked like they'd been cobbled back together after a police raid, and semi-shady clientele lurking about the dark sidewalks outside my room. I originally booked three nights but, after arriving late the first night and sleeping restlessly because the a/c was so noisy I had to turn it off, I promptly packed my bags first thing in the morning, grabbed a coffee and a waffle in the lobby, and checked my a** right on outta there. What's good about this Hampton Inn? The aforementioned friendly staff, the buffet, and a fairly convenient location. Oh, and (for reasons that become glaringly obvious when you check in) it's priced much lower than other Hampton Inn and similar properties in the area. If you're looking to save a few bucks, and you like sticky carpets, questionable wiring, and loud air conditioning units then by all means stop on by. As for me, I booked another Hampton Inn nearby and it feels like a luxury palace compared to this one!
