First of all, we had just moved from single stream recycling (everything, including trash, was picked up the same way) to separating paper from plastic-glass-aluminum. It was all explained in the notice posted on the website, the company Facebook page and on the letter we left with your bill. Also on that letter was a request asking that you call the office to sign up for recycling, which you never did. When I came to pick up your garbage and noticed you didn't separate paper/cardboard from the commingled, and also noticed you weren't on the recycling list, yes, I threw it in my truck. I'm not surprised you never saw another truck come by for recycling. I don't expect someone to stare out the window all day examining who drives down their road. But I assure you that our recycling truck was on your road every Thursday morning picking up your neighbor at #28....who called and signed up....and also separated recycling like we had asked. I was in the process of explaining that to you when you yelled at me to leave everything, and stormed back inside. I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding about recycling and you felt duped. I thought the company explained the recycling procedure simple enough for everyone to understand. We hate to lose customers, especially when they leave feeling we were dishonest. That's just simply not true. -Garbage man

When I presented my credit card, as I had told him I would do when I asked for the service, I was informed that there'd be a surcharge for using a credit card. I disputed his doing that because there was no prior notice. No mention of it in the emails we exchanged, no mention on his website, but he was adamant that he was going to charge the fee ($5), even to offering to take the stuff off his truck and call it square. It was worth the $5 to me to not have to deal with getting someone else to remove the junk, but I'll never do business with him again. Surprise extra costs are a very bad way to do business, but Junk Truck operated that way with me.
