I contacted Val's Lawncare after discovering a leak in our backyard, and I couldn't be happier with the service. Val returned my call promptly and came out the very next day. He quickly located the leak and fixed the problem. Now I understand why he has so many five-star reviews! Val is responsive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful. It's such a relief to find someone reliable who takes pride in his work. I now know exactly who to call for any future lawn care or irrigation needs. Highly recommend Val's Lawncare! read more

Highly recommend Val's gardening service. Always on time, reasonable price and good quality.

Val and his team are so great. Our house has an oak tree in the backyard and two smaller trees in our front yard, so we have a lot of leaves. Couple that with a newborn and our yards were getting out of control. I reached out to Val and he came out the next day. I've been super happy with their service, and their prices are incredibly reasonable. They spent a full day clearing out all the weeds and laid mulch. Now his team comes twice a month and helps us keep our yards clean and tidy. Definitely recommend. read more

Had a Rain Bird valve get damaged during a repair and needed someone to look at the system. Very reasonable parts and labor especially for a rapid response. Recommend Val and his team highly! read more

Recently reached out to Val for help with our sprinkler system. Val was super responsive and came by the next day to diagnose the issue despite being on the verge of heading out of town for his daughter's graduation. Val handed off the repair to his colleague David Kuljis who was equally responsive and did a great job repairing the problem, after first discussing the options we had. Couldn't have been more pleased with Val and David's work. Thank you! read more

Val was super responsive. High quality. Had to cancel last minute but have Val on my speed dial and would definitely use again.

I sent out a request for an estimate for sprinkler repair last night, and Val was one of the first to respond right away. He offered the best estimate from the responses I got and said he could check on the issue first thing this morning. So I went with his service, and he and his associate arrived on time (actually early). They fixed a broken spout, cleaned the area up because they had to dig around it, went over couple other issues and tips, and were done within half hour. Val said if the problem arises again he would come back and take care of it at no charge. Bottom line, Val provided prompt, quality and friendly service at a very reasonable price. read more

Val was quick in diagnosing my problem. He had what we needed in the truck and was in and out in about 45 minutes. Next time I have a sprinkler system problem. I will be calling Val. read more

Val is referred to me by my friend. He responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and we scheduled an onsite estimate right away. He is very nice to chat with in-person, showing great care to the plants, and provided many useful suggestions to the overall landscape and maintenance needs. He spent some time to explain to me quite a few things about plants which I appreciate it a lot (since I lack of knowledge about them). His willingness to share knowledge shows that he's really interested in getting the things done right and hope you know, instead of just owning the business. His pricing is also quite reasonable. Apart from the gardening we also chatted a little about personal stuff. Val is really a very nice and friendly person. I decided to hire him immediately on the spot and he and his team has been providing great service since then. Highly recommend! read more

Sloppy work and lacks integrity. First, we paid them 3x per month compared to our previous gardener because Val's Gardening promised an all-inclusive service. We were told that tree trimming would be included and everything would be "kept nice". However, when we requested tree trimming, we were told that they don't have the proper insurance so it can't be done. Excuse me??!! Second, the work seemed to be outsourced, and sometimes (not always) we get pretty sloppy work done. People would show up for 5 minutes, blow some leaves and call it a day. The ivy on the side of our front yard were overgrown like crazy without getting any attention. Overall, I'm not impressed by the service. read more

Prompt (next morning at 7:30 am), polite, knowledgeable, effective: identified loose wiring connection and fixed the problem ( 5 min) in the sprinkler circuit. He arranged for free fertilizing as a bonus within the $85 initial visit fee. Very pleased. read more

Val and his team have done great work on my yards since 2012. They come over every week for routine maintenance, keeping the lawns and bushes and flowers beautiful. They also will plant new plants, install and fix irrigation systems, repair fences and trim trees. One of the best pieces of work Val did was when one of my bushes was mysteriously dying. Val wasn't sure what was wrong so he clipped of a piece of it and took it to a nursery to get advice. (It turned out I wasn't giving it the right amount of water.) Val is fluent in English and Spanish and can be reached by phone, text or email. read more

Val and his team are great. They've done a great job at de-weeding our yard. It was becoming overwhelming to do ourselves, and Val came in and got it under control. He's easy to communicate with via text. read more

I was having an issue with my irrigation system (leaking valve) and tried calling several plumbers and irrigation specialists. Val responded quickly, and while he wasn't able to come out to resolve the issue (it was late in the day), he offered to facetime to troubleshoot the issue over the phone. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to fix the leak over the phone, but he did help with a short-term fix to stop the leak until it could be properly repaired. He was super accommodating and helpful, and I will certainly consider him for any future gardening or irrigation needs! read more

Val is a totally down to earth person who goes the extra mile to customize the work to meet our exact needs. When talking to him, nothing sounds complicated or worrisome. His cost is in line with other estimates we got. His crew is skilled, reliable, and FAST. Overall, we would absolutely recommend his work and will hit Val up the next time we need help with our trees again! read more

I received a mail from City of Sunnyvale asking me to take care of my front lawn immediately. This is rather urgent, so several yelp quotes I got asked me to wait for several weeks. Val contacted me in a timely fashion, checked out my yard quickly and finished the job on the incoming Monday morning. The price he gave me is the best offer I got among another 3 offers, and they did a great job on my lawn and cleaned up everything. read more

Val has started to maintain our yard more than a month ago and we are happy with his work. He is reachable, listens to you, makes suggestions and does what he says he will do, with a nice attitude. He is pro-active which is nice too. So far so good. read more

Val is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet!! One of my trees recently died and he was the only person who noticed that my fallen tree branch fell on another tree branch which also needed removing. I was out of town while gathering quotes and I really appreciated that he took the time to explain the situation clearly to me over the phone while onsite, sending me detailed pictures and offering me a great price. When I finally met him after the job was done (it was done perfectly on the appointed day and time!) he greeted me warmly and gave me advice about my property. He really helped me out in this stressful situation and I walked away feeling very happy and lucky to have met him! Definitely give him a call if you're ever in need of any of his services! read more

val and his team done a very good job in my uncles garden, I was so impressed with their output. And also his pricing for the work is more affordable then I have ever gone through in bay area. Val and his team have done a great job. What a difference compare to when we did the yard work ourselves. And he is only one phone call away when we need him. Last winter, a tree in my tenant's yard fell, Val was able to come to the rescue and removed the tree the following day, with very reasonable price. Very happy. read more

Val worked on our house in Belmont. His crew has done a variety of jobs for us including plantings, tree trimming, tanbark and cleanup. He was prompt, his crew was hardworking and they did a great job. His invoice came in at budget, but he threw in a number of services in addition to the work that he bidded on. So we actually got more than we payed for. For example, he added fittings and sprinklers to our drip system so that the new plants that he planted would get water. His crew also helped haul some debris to the curb and blow leaves on our neighbors driveway. These last items were not included in the original bid, but he threw them in for free. Again, it was a great experience. Thanks very much Val for your service and looking forward to working with you again. read more

I called Val on a Thursday evening about a repair problem. Other companies couldn't get out to the house for a week or more. Val agreed to come early Saturday morning. He showed up on time and quickly explained what he was thinking and looking for. He and his co-worker quickly diagnosed the problem in less than 30 minutes it was fixed! No charge for the service! We spoke about his rates for maintenance and his approach. I would recommend Val for any yard maintenance or repair needs! read more

Last week I need assistance with adjusting my sprinklers to cover the lawn completely. I called three landscapers and Val was the only one who returned my call that same day! Besides that, he returned my call within one half hour and came to my home within 30 minutes. Val saved my day. He was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to test each sprinkler and adjust them accordingly. He also gave me tips on watering and care of my lawn and trees. I highly recommend Val for his efficient and professional services. He is thoughtful and well skilled in his profession. He is by far the best landscaper to care about the customer and deliver excellent results. read more

If only I can give Vol Landscape 5 star, I would give them 6! Vol and his team are awesome! If you are still serching someone out there, then Vol Landscape is your lucky choice! When we "inherited" him from the previous house owner as our yard keeper, I was a little bit caucious, and this just how I usually deal with new people. As months went by, Vol Landscape did more than I expecte: My yard is well maintaned; Vol answered my phone calls and all my questios with quick response and petience. He and his team even did tree trimming for me with great job and good price. Vol and his team did such good job to my yard, so even our eighbors noticed them and start to use them as their yard keeper! Vol and his team are very professioanl, honest, and friendly people. I am really happy with them. read more

I recently had Val and his crew do a clean up job for a house I am going to sell. His work was great, his price was very good and he is a pleasure to work with. There main focus was trimming, planting, laying tanbark and overall clean up. Val is very professional and responsive. I am a real estate agent and he was wonderful with my clients too. When you have clients, it is a real treasure to find someone that helps represent you in a very positive way. I plan to use his services for future jobs. read more

Excellent work! My parents and I have been using Val's for over a year and we are very happy with the upkeep of our landscape, they've never looked better. Val and his team get the job done in a timely manner and are very friendly and respectful. They have even gone above and beyond by helping my dad change a flat on his car. Definitely a great team of guys keeping yards/gardens looking great even with the drought condition we are in. read more

I've had Val for over 3 months now. I could not be happier. It was beyond my expectations! 1. As the business owner, he actually comes to work on site! Not all the time, but at least a few times a month. If you have issues about the garden, he actually knows cause he's been there. 2. He is great at communication, which is so rare nowadays among gardeners. He speaks and writes perfect English. I can text him and he will get back to me very soon. He is very digitally adaptive. I can text him pictures, todo list, web links, send him emails, all the convenient mobile tools I would use to be efficient and effective. It makes a huge difference! 3. He is a honorable man. Since my garden irrigation was in bad shape when he first came in, I have to get a lot done. His charge is very reasonable, and a lot he just offers as part of the regular service. 4. He's great person! I don't know Val before I hired him for my garden. But it did not take long for me to realize what a wonderful person he is. Val took pride of his family, especially his son. Wonderful kid, wonderful father. I would recommend him to anyone with garden needs, small or big! read more
