I probably have to preface my review with: I grew up with extremely good Asian food, and I have…read morevery low expectations for Asian food in Latin America. I got the spicy miso, small size, and it was surprisingly good. I was pleasantly surprised. The miso soup actually tasted like miso, and it was sufficiently spicy and flavorful. The noodles were cooked perfectly chewy, and the single chasu and half egg were both marinated and flavorful. Portions were a bit small for the price, but it was good! Would recommend it if you're looking for some noodles and ramen.

Service was fast, and the atmosphere great. The noodles and chassis were done perfectly although the egg was just barely over cooked for my taste, but it was still delicious. Their version of a sunomono cucumber salad is basically just a half a chopped cucumber with the dressing and sesame seeds poured over it. Okay, not great. If I went again I'd try something else. They have vegetarian options too if that's your thing, but I can't vouch for them. They have more than just ramen: Japanese style curry, donburi bowls, and more. If their non-ramen food is as good as the ramen then it's worth it to try.

Nestled in the Vitacura neighborhood of Santiago, the restaurant isn't too far from Providencia (10 min car ride, 25 min by bus) - Osaka is a Nikkei fusion restaurant that has a few other branches, mostly in South America. Service here is friendly but can be a tad slow when busy. So keep this in mind if you're super hungry. I used a mix of Spanish and English here - the preferred language here is Spanish (being in Chile after all!) but most waitstaff knows some English - so language barrier shouldn't be much of a problem. I ordered... 1) BEBIDA - Passion liptus pisco sour - a lovely take on the traditional pisco sour, with tropical fruit forward notes (yay for maracuya) 2) COOKED - passion shrimp - tasty and perfectly fried, with a good balance of sweet, salty and sour. Better than sweet and sour as this has a nice tropical twist 3) RAW/SEARED: I had the hotate truffle nigiri, rocoto usuzukuri tiradito, and the crispy rice appetizer. Both the hotate truffle and crispy rice appetizer had truffle notes, which were very nice as it complimented the seafood in both. Hotate is scallop, and the crispy rice features salmon. I really enjoy tiraditos, and try to get them when I can in South America. The rocoto sauce in the tiradito was absolutely delicious. Creamy, a little smoky, and a little piquant - a perfect compliment with the catch of the day (a type of white fish). The bill came out to around 80$ for myself- but I ordered a lot for one person. Restaurant is a little bit on the expensive side for Japanese-style food in Santiago; but it's well worth every penny! Recommend!

The place is small, with a downstairs and upstairs area and a small sushi bar to saddle up at. But, it's quite small so I preferred to saddle up to a table. The ambiance is lacking and there was a faint scent of cleaning products. I ordered the tuna sashimi over a bed of rice, 2 tuna niguiri rolls, pork gyoza and a miso soup. While none of my dishes hit it out of the park, the gyozas were better than the rest. Unfortunately, I found the tuna to be overly fishy, which suggests it wasn't the freshest. Sad to say I won't be returning back here.

The food has gotten A LOT worse over the past two years, prices have gone way up, and the service has declined. The ramen is probably the worst I've tasted. I've eaten ramen all over Japan, USA, Canada, Europe, Brasil, Peru, and this is by far the worst I have tried. I've tried their miso, shoyu, tantanmen, and the WORST was their tonkotsu. I tried two bites when they came out with their new ramen menu, the broth was flavorless, the pork chashu was tough over cooked and inedible, and I tried two bites and sent it back. The worst part is the server and kitchen said that this is how it was supposed to be and wouldn't let me return it for anything else. And they still charged me for it after sending it back to the kitchen and not eating it!! I told them that it was terrible service and they said that if I didn't like the service I shouldn't come back (NEVER WILL). Their sushi sucks, rolls meh, the sashimi came out half frozen with frost cristals when you bit into it, it's like they just don't care!
