A hole-in-the-wall that delivers very tasty late-night treats. We found it on a rainy Sunday evening at 10:30pm, saw the place completely empty, and passed it right by. After walking around for a bit, at 11pm, we walked past again and this time the tiny place was full - there were six people in there. So we decided to chance it & see what there was.
What we found was a short menu of nice after-hours food: arepas, hamburgers, and a club sandwich that looked pretty irresistible, so we ordered two. The sandwiches were prepared quickly, and we were pleasantly surprised when they came out. Very tasty & complete, with a fired egg and everything - reminiscent of a Mexican torta: filling and delicious!
The only problem was that as we ate our club sandwiches, we saw a couple of other people order arepas, and when they came out, they looked so good that we had to buckle down and order one to split between us despite having just finished these generous club sandwiches. The effort was worth it. The corn-flour arepas were warm and fresh, and the filling traditional and delicious.
Also, prices are pretty modest, so if you get a craving for a substantial late-night snack on the way home from the bar, you can't go wrong here. read more
