Good quality, authentic Chinese Ambiance: impossible to know…read moreit's there from the outside (no signs & it's upstairs in a nondescript building). Inside it's a very basic, large banquet room much like you see a lot of in China. Good view of MC and STC skyline. Menus in Chinese & Spanish and half of the items in photos. Did not appreciate the sticky menus though. Service: Hit & miss. Some friendly waiters, others standoffish and rude. Food: great quality. I had the soup dumpling which were excellent and the shrimp pancakes. Fresh and tasty with good ingredients. Though shrimp was the only ingredient in the pancakes which could've had some veggies. Price: varies from really good to pricey for some of the specialty items. Overall pretty good value. I'll update when I go again and try other dishes.

I have been pretty desperate for authentic Chinese food and especially DimSum in Santiago, since…read moremost of the Chinese restaurants here serve quite different dishes. I've been tired of eating dry dumplings and chaufa (fried rice) that never taste even close to how they're supposed to be... Food Lays instantly became my favorite Chinese restaurant in entire Santiago for their quite authentic selection of dishes. This place is way better than Madam Tusan (peruvian Chinese chain) or Palacio Danubio Azul, that are much more expensive than this restaurant. They serve DimSum menu, including steamed shrimp dumplings, sticky rice in lotus leave, steamed buns with BBQ pork, congee (rice soup) with century egg, Shaolong Bao (steamed pork dumplings with soup), and etc... These dishes are quite hard to find in other Chinese restaurants in Chile. And they're mostly less than 3000CLP for each, really cheap!! I'm so glad I found this place now. *Such a shame I didn't take pictures this time... sorry!! I went there on Sunday lunch, at 12 o'clock. It's the opening time, so the restaurant was empty except out table. But I assume this place is more popular on Saturday or in evening~night hours of weekdays. I will definitely repeat coming back to this place for having DimSum!!

Parque Arauco Mall SANTIAGO , CHILE…read more Just going over my notes from my last trip to Santiago and discovered my notation that I ate at Madam Tusan in January 2012. I am embarrassed to report that I do not remember what dish I ordered, but I did write in my notes that the food was EXCELLENT ! I do remember the meal because it was delicious, a fusion of Asian and Latin flavors. I plan to return and visit again in January 2015. My flight leaves tomorrow night for Santiago. Next time I will render a better report. I would highly recommend Madam Tusan as a fine place to dine. Sin embargo , espero que me entienden. ok...I am in Chile now, but in the city of La Serena, north of Santiago. The other day, when I was in Santiago I went to the PARQUE ARAUCO MALL. Then I saw it, the other Madam Tusan. I knew that I ate at Madam Tusan but did not remember where it waslocated. The address above at Av. Andres Bello was not the one I ate at, it was the one in PARQUE ARAUCO. Either way, the food there is excellent.. Of course there is parking in the Mall parking lot, for a small fee.

The traditional chile Rocoto sauce ( hope I spelt that correct) was out of the world ..had to order it twice ! BTW -the Chaufa ( Peruvian Chinese rice) though nicely done is not different from Any fried rice at a chinese restaurant .

I craved for Chinese food after a week of staying here so went there with high expectations…read more(pictures in Yelp sure looked amazing). I ordered three dishes and I have to say they were really average. I liked the authenticity of the dishes (most of the customers were Chinese) but the flavor is really nothing exciting and none of the dishes looked like the pictures on the menu. I also waited 40 minutes for the food...lessons learned: don't come here if you are hangary.

Walking in, I immediately noticed that the waitstaff were speaking in Cantonese with Cantonese customers! HELLO MY PEOPLE! I was there for dimsum and had: 1) Char Siu Bao - big fluffy buns with sweet pork filling. The texture of the bao and the flavor of the pork filling were on point! 2) Har Gow - decent sized dumplings with translucent skin and nicely cooked shrimp! 3) Law Mai Gai - sticky rice filled with chicken and pork, wrapped and steamed inside a lotus leaf. This was very well-prepared! 4) Don Tot - these were still warm when they were served; the crust was flaky and the custard filling was sweet and eggy. Everything was legit and so good! Dimsum here definitely satisfied my craving, and I found the price tag to be fair. They also serve other Cantonese dishes (steamed fish, roast duck, Chinese veggies), and they all looked very good. I'm already planning to come back later this week!

Location Central -…read morenear the Bus Terminal, Lider, Plaza Vina and plenty of shopping Food The food is delicious. I generally stick to seafood (shrimp, salmon, etc) but my dining mates have ordered other items too (steak, chicken, etc) and it's ALL good. I haven't received something I didn't like there. The food is flavorful and well seasoned. It's an oasis in a land of under-seasoned food. The salmon menuiere and the shrimp in some sort of Peruano sauce are my favorites. The pisco sours are good too! I went off course and ordered a flavored (raspberry) pisco - and it's just divine! The prices are fair - definitely not cheap, but not very expensive either. Expect an entree to be about 8500 CLP. Atmosphere/decor The atmosphere is casual. Main seating is upstairs. Service Service was fine. Service in Chile is a bit less attentive than what we are accustomed to in the United States, but no problems here. Recommendation Definitely go! Good food.

The food took a little while, but it was the lunch rush and the restaurant was packed to the brim. He had a Corona, I had a ginger ale. He ordered the lomo saltado and inhaled it. I went the safe route and ordered some fried chicken and fries. The actual plate itself was massive and I easily had enough for two, even three meals. Unfortunately th food was average at best. Again, not my type. Maybe I'm being cruel in only saying the food was okay, but it just wasn't anything memorable in either a positive or negative manner. It is what it is. The food made it so we didn't to hungry and that was that.
