It was not covid restrictions... it was a dictatorship. It's one thing to have number of spectators restrictions - I get that. 9 per side... it's tight when other pools have 13-15.. but I get it. But they had you literally sit 6' apart from your FAMILY.... I was made to sit 6' from my own CHILDREN!!! LOL. We ended up sitting outside and watching through the fence so other adults could watch. Then we couldn't stand/sit near the outside fence because if the fire department comes.... really? I'll move our lawn chair if they come. Idk. I get regulations but you have to be reasonable for an outdoor event. And fair.... same rules for the home team and visiting would have been nice. The manager seemed to relish in her power.

The cleanliness is on point. It feels safe and secure. There is no parking on site. Upon arrival your car is driven to be parked. Our car was returned to us in tact and no issues. All our belongings were still in the car. The valet attendants are very polite and courteous. The attendant that took our belongings to our room was very chatty and told us that we should attend their bar for live music. We returned to the bar for that. There was no live music or any music for that matter. We ordered a delivery pizza. We thought we could eat it there in the bar. We were wrong. No big deal we took our drinks and pizza to the outside patio pool area. A security guard told us we were not allowed to eat our outside food there either. We went to our room and by then ate our cold pizza. Finished our one drink. We could have spent hours at the bar spending money but to be asked to leave with our food we didnt feel like going back. Through the bathroom wall we heard water flow all night long. Other than this we had a great stay. :)

Horrible Experience - Morning Staff Issues This hotel is my…read morebrother-in-law's preferred choice whenever he needs to stay in Tijuana for business or travel. When we arrived, the staff were excellent--very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in three rooms that night because there were seven of us traveling together. Unfortunately, the morning staff were the complete opposite. The person at the valet desk was extremely rude and seemed annoyed that I needed access to my vehicle, which I had planned to store at the hotel for a week. He questioned me about which room I was staying in and who I had spoken with regarding the shuttle to take our family to the airport. I assumed it was a misunderstanding, since my brother-in-law had made the arrangements, so I told him he would be down shortly. When we walked back into the hotel, my sister-in-law was being questioned by the receptionist in a similar manner, as if we had done something wrong. When my brother-in-law came downstairs, neither the valet attendant nor the receptionist said a word to him. The shuttle driver was already waiting outside, so I assumed they had called his room and resolved the matter--but that was not the case. We later returned to Tijuana. The shuttle driver, Sergio, was waiting for us at the airport. He was an excellent driver--friendly and helpful--and pointed out several landmarks and new buildings during the drive to the hotel. Our plan was to stay one more night and then drive to northern California the following day. Upon arriving at the hotel, I felt the staff inside were waiting for us. When I asked to retrieve a few items from my car and pay the parking bill for the week, I was told they could not find my keys. I still had the ticket I had been given, but they did not know where the keys were. The gentleman at the reception desk asked who had made the arrangements. When I told him it was my brother-in-law, he instructed me to call my brother-in-law and ask him where the keys were. I called and explained the situation; my brother-in-law said he would take care of it. Shortly afterward the keys were located, and I paid the parking bill. The male receptionist then told me, in a threatening manner, that next time I should call the hotel to make my own arrangements. I informed him there would not be a next time after the way I had been treated both that day and the previous Saturday. He almost looked stunned when he realized he had lost a future customer. My brother-in-law is scheduled to arrive on Monday--hopefully they do not lose his car keys as well. Summary of Ratings My review is based primarily on the morning staff and the way they operate. The night staff were excellent and deserve 5 stars. Both shuttle drivers were also outstanding and deserve 5 stars. Overall, the hotel itself appears to be a solid 4-star property based on the condition of the building. Management simply needs to address the issues with the morning staff, or they will continue to lose customers.

Apparently she's been working there for long time and doesn't care about the customer. There are many seniors with walkers, canes and wheels chairs and she just doesn't care about their well being. Her focus is to lock up the door as soon as the pool closes. The pool hours are still on pandemic operating hours, it closes at 2.30pm till 4pm???? Why close the pool in the middle of the day and weekend? The hours are not clearly posted on the entrance, only in fine print. The city of Chula Vista has the funds to run the facility with longer hours but don't. If the city pay lifeguards according to market rate, they can find lifeguards. The YMCA has 6 lifeguards for a pool smaller than this pool. The worst locker room, shower only drip when more than 1 person turn it on. The shower tower is the same type on public beaches, it's not acceptable in 2024. Chula Vista funding is not well spent for the general public, instead, the funding is spent on the wealthy East Lake areas!
