My Mom has to use her double wide manual wheelchair for appointments instead of her electric wheelchair because RTC Paratransit doesn't pick up in my neighborhood (she lives with me). The manual chair is so wide that she has to stand up and use her walker to get through the doors to the exam rooms, I have to fold the chair to get it through the door, and then, once we're through the door, I open the chair so she can sit back down. It really wears her out. By the time we got upstairs to Adult Medicine for her doctor appointment, she was completely pooped. The nurse who called her back, got two other nurses to assist us getting from the waiting room to the back. After the appointment, there were literally like 5 people- nurses and doctors- who came to assist my Mom out of the room. Two nurses then escorted us to the service elevator and out the ambulance entrance so Mom wouldn't have to stand up again to get back into the main lobby. They also pushed her to the car and helped her get in the car. I just want to commend the staff in the Adult Medicine department. You made my Mom's day. She said she felt like she was getting the VIP treatment. These days, that kind of customer service in medical establishments is rare. Thank you and may God bless you all!

The entire visit with the doctor lasted less than five minutes. I was then sent for blood work. Even though I had fasted beforehand just in case, I was told the specific test had to be completed before a certain time, so I had to schedule another appointment. When I returned for my second appointment after making another 30-minute drive, I was informed that the phlebotomist wasn't there, so I couldn't even have my blood drawn. After two disappointing visits, I decided not to return to this office. To make matters worse, I later received a bill for an additional $73. I spent over six months trying to get someone to explain why I owed more money after already paying my copay. I called weekly, left countless messages, and never received a return call. Because no one would respond, the balance was eventually sent to collections. I paid the balance just to deal with the collections issue, then disputed the charge with my bank because even they agreed the situation seemed unusual. Despite that, I am still being billed for the same charge. Once again, I spent months trying to get answers with no response. When I finally reached someone, I was essentially told that if I didn't pay, it would simply be sent to collections again. No one could actually explain why I owed the money. I no longer have the insurance I had at the time of my visit, and I was also told the doctor I originally saw doesn't even work there anymore. The lack of communication and patient care at this office is unacceptable. Ignoring patients for months while continuing to bill them and threaten collections is not how a medical practice should operate. If they put even half as much effort into helping their patients as they do collecting money, this situation could have been resolved long ago. I will never return and would not recommend this office to anyone looking for a practice that values communication, professionalism, or patient care.

I haven't been able to contact a manager to talk to about it this situation. I've called security twice and they haven't been able to assist me in locating my cup (with my first & lastname on it) or even offered to view the video cameras they have everywhere. There should be a protocol when the hospital staff leaves their shift through security. Now unfortunately I am back at Centennial Hills Hospital, and in ICU again after four days later for my previous stay/discharge. This time I had endoscopy done and I hadn't ate for 1 & 1/2 days; I called and placed my lunch and dinner ordered as they told me while I was in recovery, waiting to go back to my ICU room and they never delivered my lunch and I didn't eat dinner until 6 o'clock because it was on the other side. Then yesterday (10/05/26) they never served dinner to ICU patients on the whole ICU floor I was unable again to get a hold of the kitchen manager or manager on duty. They also served breakfast at 7 AM and lunch at 2:30ish pm yesterday; If you're in ICU and you're hungry I suggest that you have somebody bring food to you or have Uber Eats deliver you food but that can be expensive and inconvenience. The Doctors place you on meal plans with restrictions on your food diet so that would be hard (since they don't give a good description of what you can exactly eat but mind you that's why they have a kitchen staff in the first place). Now, if you go to Centennial Hills hospital for something non as threatening & not admitted into ICU; you'll be fed. I will speak of the Doctors, nursing staff and Doctors Specialties Doctors; they'll amazing with great bedside manner!, I'm extremely disappointed in the management staff. It's like they avoid and you're not able to come into contact with someone to voice your complaints too or have them resolved or acknowledged. The nursing team shouldn't have to deal with upset hungry patients that are in loads of pain. Management needs to do a lot better and make that a priority to improve!

What distinguishes Dr. Choi from most physicians however, is the way he advocates for his patients. There have been times when I was physically, emotionally, or otherwise unable to advocate for myself, and he stepped into that role without hesitation. Knowing that someone was in my corner--someone who understood my history, listened to me, and genuinely cared about my well-being--made an immeasurable difference. After more than a decade as his patient, I don't view he simply as a physician.
