Dr. Giochioco is really sweet and helpful, but with a receptionist like his (Marlene) she will talk down to you just to make an appointment. She screens appointment calls to see of she feels theyre warranted. She yells at you and makes you feel like you dont even want to be treated anymore. When I asked Marlene why she was so angry and how can I locate the form she was insisting was on my portal. Because she didnt know where I can locate at she responds with "I dont know what your looking at, why would I know where it is on the portal". For being in a professional setting im extremely disappointed she relates herself to Healthcare. You can get better service at a DMV. Im really going to miss the dr but I refused to get harassed for seeking medical treatment. Marlene, I hope you have the day you deserve. My friends and family have begun filing formal complaints with the State of Nevada due to ongoing issues. Although this provider accepts state insurance, they do not schedule timely appointments for necessary medication refills, placing patients at risk by forcing interruptions in critical prescriptions. Communication is nearly impossible, as phone calls go unanswered and voicemails are not returned. In addition, the office staff consistently displays unprofessional and discourteous behavior. A healthcare career should reflect passion, empathy, and respect for patients, yet these fundamental standards are not being upheld. I would encourage everyone to file a complaint with Nevada and the Nevada State Board. This is a horrible practice! read more

Had a Telehealth phone call, to go over X-Rays, scheduled for 2:30. I was never told that they would call 30 minutes early to prepare or I would have been ready. I called at 2:30 when I was not called. At 3:00 they called again and the lady that called was extremely rude. When I was asked why we are not notified that they would call early so we can prepared. Because like them, people have to work. She just said that would not fit in the text message. And proceeded to be EXTREMELY RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL. She asked if I would like to proceed or reschedule I asked when the soonest available since I was not called at my appointment time. AGAIN APPOINTMENT TIME, not 30 minutes before. And she said I did call you twice and you did not answer, would you like to proceed or reschedule. So I repeated, if I reschedule when would be the soonest available. And she says "I do not have time to argue with you are we proceeding or rescheduling" I replied. FOR THE THIRD TIME when would be the soonest available. Never had someone at a front desk be so rude or disrespectful. And the fact that I missed ONE phone call and called back three more times and not a single phone call was answered. The service from the doctors and assistants is fine. They conveniently do phlebotomy on-site. The wait time is usually not long, but I had to book my recent appointment 1 month in advance. They make you confirm your appointments several times via texts and phone calls. Some employees have been rude in the past, like the older receptionist, and people at their call center. When masks were required, I forgot to bring one and the receptionist didn't want to give me one. And they only followed mask rules when patients were around. I called Sunset Clinic to have the P.A. fill my blood pressure prescription, and was told by the woman that I spoke with on the phone by the name of Anna, that unless I scheduled a check up appointment with DR. The staff is very diligent in the fight against Covid and they take all the proper precautions . I recommend then for family health care and they all are so pleasant . Been going to this facility for about 6 months because it's so close to my home. But after all the frustration I've endured I'm out! I broke my foot a week ago, the PA gave me a referral to get an X-ray. Within the week I have called the office 3 times trying to get results. No report according to them from Desert Radiology. Finally at day 8 decided to call DR and get the results myself as my foot is not getting better and I'm walking on it the best I can without a special shoe. Forget it! Extremely unprofessional and hopeful I haven't done more damage walking on it for a week. read more

I think getting it right is more important than a few extra minutes, not to mention not being a jerk about it and complaining online. Wait until you need extra time/work and the Doc rushes through your appt to 'keep on schedule' ... I would rather have some patience and understanding, wait a few extra minutes, and get GOOD medical care. I have been here three times in the last two months, and found the two doctors and several staff I saw VERY nice, professional and helpful. I've never waited more than 15-20 minutes over schedule, not perfect, but leaps and bounds better than MANY that I've been to. They have SHORTER wait time than most others, and I called Friday am, they saw me right away, in at 3:10 pm(3 pm appt), out by 4:15! I saw the PA, and then the doctor(Young), who spent almost 40 EXTRA min listening and talking, going over background and my health needs to get it right. I'm sorry if you followed me and had to wait a few minutes! Too many people think that they MUST be up called EXACTLY on time, but that does not take into account folks who are late/delayed because of medical issue, or have multiple issues like me. It also does not account for the Doctors spending extra time on patients who need the attention. Try not to make appts during peak hours, like everybody else ... ? I put very little stock in many comments here, mostly from impatient folks who are complaining about wait times. ALL offices have waits, even the best run, sorry. Dentist 32 min extra, Radiology 40 min wait, Quest 50 min+++, CT scan was 35 min extra ... I am sorry for those who had to wait, especially behind me, but ... I would MUCH rather wait the extra time for good care, and I don't mind waiting a little extra for those ahead of me ... things/delays happen. I walked in for care last year with a foot injury and was misdiagnosed. A referral to a foot specialist did address my injury yet x ray showed no calcium deposits and permanent disability, as the MD at Sunset described. Yesterday I walked in on urgent care due to feeling extremely ill with congestion and sunset being within walking distance of my home. I could not drive as sick as I am. After a half hour wait, to 'ask the MD to add me to the schedule' the receptionist said he would not add me, but said I should go somewhere else because my symptoms 'sound concerning.' I shared I did not feel capable of driving and had come here because it's a block from my home and I walked. To no avail. I was not seen and must now await availability of family to take me to care. This to me feels so irresponsible and unethical. I paid not-a-small-amount to sit in a waiting room for 45 minutes, and then in an empty exam room for another 30 minutes, just for the doctor to shamble in and read my perfectly unremarkable test results to me for the first time. The entire office looks like a prison and you can hear the doctor's and their employees talk to each other outside the exam room. this place is deceptively dismal compared the relatively normal neighborhood. Dr. Morris Nguyen was my new PCP. My first visit took place in November. Let me begin with the office experience of being the only patient in the waiting room but having to wait over an hour just to see the doctor. Once in the patient room, I would open the door that is directly in front of the nurses. Not once was I ever awknowledged standing at the door, the two nurses just kept chit chatting away. The nurse had come in several times because she kept "forgetting" to ask me some questions about my medical history. That should have been the big red flag to tell me how my future services here would be handled. After waiting for an awfully long time I meet Doctor Morris Nguyen. He tells me he will give me a referral for blood work and as I need to get to work on time, one of the "girls" will give me a call by the end of office hours that day with the referral information to my dermatologist. I waited, no call back by the end of the day. I figured hey maybe they got busy. The second day goes by, no call back, by the third day, not a single call from the office. I take it upon myself to call the office, Luke had answered the phone. I explained to him I was waiting for a call back for my referral, something I was instructed that I as the patient, would hear back about but never did. He was kind enough to assist. He set the referral up, I call the dermatologist they said it should take a few days. I called back the next week, they said they didn't receive anything. I called the office back and Luke answered again and was very kind and said he would check on the referral. Alas, a whopping two weeks later the dermatologist has my appointment. Here I am speaking with the dermatologist office and the next available appointment is two months out. You've got to be kidding me right? At this point I book it because I am to see doctor Nguyen for some lab results the following week. My second appointment.. what a nightmare. My child is with me, my appointment is at 10am. I walk in and wait in the patient waiting area for over thirty minutes. They take me back to the room to check vitals and she shuts the door and I finally walk out to go to the bathroom and she comes in ten minutes later to take me to the actual patient room. fast forward one hour, I am still waiting. My child is getting anxious and impatient and so am I because my total wait time for a small non busy office is beyond ridiculous. I then open the door to the room i'm in, again not a single nurse cares to ask me if I need anything, they just glance an go about chit chatting away again. I ask a nurse how long it will be, she turns to her colleague and asks her, she then replies with umm.. well he's with another patient so hopefully soon. No really? You don't think I know he is with another patient. My question is literally, as in I need a quote time but the girls don't seem to care. These are the same girls "nurses" who were suppose to call me from my first appointment to provide me with the referral info. I honestly think this office is just absolutely lazy. I finally see doctor morris nguyen. My child at this point is tired of waiting and ready to sleep. I was to receive two referrals, a new dermatologist(because the original one was to be 2 months out) and a rheumatologist. he also states he will prescribe me a cream. I never received that prescription to get the cream. I leave the office with two referrals and his explanation on how he is sorry about the wait because his front office staff accepted too many walks in which reflected on my actual appointment time to be such a long wait. So what was the point of a scheduled appointment if walks in will be priorty over my appointment? this is just nonsense. But wait, it gets even better. I received my referral on the 20th. I call two days later, the office says they did not receive a referral. I called doctor nguyens office and the receptionist kevin says he will take care of it and I can call them by the end of the day. So I wait, until after Christmas on the 26th and call the dermatologist, they said there is not a single referral in my name and my doctors office has to be sending it to a wrong number. i'm baffled at this point. I call doctor nguyens office again, kevin answers and says the same exact thing. So at this point, its my second attempt. I wait until today, January 3. Exactly two weeks from when I physically received the referrals, after two phone calls to the dermatologist and after two phone calls to doctor nguyens office.Today, the office said AGAIN they do not have anything on file. No fax or email for my referral. I call doctor nguyens office and kevin answers, at this point I am requesting to speak with my pcp doctor who my insurance is paying for service, and he says he can deliver a message to the nurse who at their discretion will then let the doctor know of my request and he will decide if he wants to call back or not. I have seen Dr Clark a few times. I am very disappointed with him. He does not care about his patients nor takes the time to research anything before handing out meds. One visit he saw me for 5 mins then started walking out and I asked him if he could look in my one ear (which takes about 1 minute) because it has been itching like crazy. He then rushed out and said he has more important patients to see. Another time my mother was with me (who also works in healthcare) and said he has no business being a doctor. Every time I have been there I have waited at least 45 minutes. I just had major brain stem surgery and was in to have him look at the incision. He then told me to go to the ER because my blood pressure was low which is a result from my surgery. I then asked about getting a refill on my meds and he said it wasn't really important right now. I called the office today and told them it was an emergency and they did nothing. While I was at that appointment my mom was in the room with me as she was getting a work physical. The doc saw me first without any paper work with my vitals but in his hand was my mothers vitals and paperwork. He then took my blood pressure about 7 to 8 times because I told him it was low. I don't think he knows how to take someones blood pressure. Or maybe he was checking it really well. Dr Ferdowsian on the other hand is a pretty good doctor. read more

Awful, unprofessional place. I was unable to get an appointment w my doctor and had to make an emergency stop to an urgent care due to my asthma. When one has asthma, you quickly cannot breathe which is quite scary. Upon entering, I told the receptionist I was having issues breathing and that I needed a breathing treatment. Within a minute or two a nurse came to check my vitals. She put the meter on my finger to read my oxygen, which same back at a pretty normal level. I was then told I had to continue to wait in the waiting room until it was my time, after about 5 people ahead of me. The thing with asthma is that your oxygen levels could appear normal, however, your airways start beginning to close and breathing gets harder. Anxiety kicks in thus adding to the symptoms. I insisted that I needed a treatment ASAP and was completely disregarded and basically left to suffer. The medical staff need more training when it comes to treating people with asthma and learning that just because a reading says one thing, the person can still be in trouble. I left shortly after after my symptoms were getting worse and no idea of whan I would be treated. I received amazing care and treatment at Urgent Care Extra (feel free to read my review). read more
