It certainly was an experience.... Me and two others went to…read morethe experience expecting to be pleasantly surprised. That did not happen... after ordering with the server who fumbled over himself and tossed the cutlery on the table, their appetizer (meatballs) was rather good and was a pleasant surprise for the upcoming disaster. We waited 30 minutes between water refills and longer for our food. When it came out the short rib gnocchi looks good and the fries on the burger I personally ordered were well seasoned and that's where the positivity ended outside of conversing about the food quality. My burger was bland, the gnocchi felt like gumballs the short rib was tender but didn't taste like short rib. The worst has yet to come unfortunately... we ordered desserts expecting to end this mildly disappointing evening, then the disaster happened. That disaster being the "chef's specialty" bread pudding dessert. Just like this dessert, deceit is best served cold. My compatriots ordered the brownie Sundaes (which was alright). When the "bread pudding" was served to me the entire the entire table was both confused and concerned about the state of the dish I was about to consume. Bread pudding is not supposed be actual bread chunks somehow slightly charred and yet completely soggy in the center. My woeful disappointment was only slightly salvaged by the complete and utter horror and dismay of my fellow restaurant goer, out of the year I have known this person and all of the strange and somewhat dubious foods we have tried together not once have I seen a face of pure displeasure, trauma, and overall fear for well self being in that man's face. He looked as though he witnessed a murder and yet I've seen people describe murder with less trauma in their eyes. 1000 yard stare couldn't begin to describe his face. After laughing at his reaction to the "chefs specialty" the enjoyment quickly left as the utter disappointment filled me. The ending of night was a bitter defeat as I looked at the bill and reluctantly gave them any sort of money I have worked for. In total we waited an hour and a half to leave and I left completely changed as a man and food critic as I thought of how I could compose this experience in my mind. What an experience...

So many blind shots with 0 guidance from a yardage book. Top 200 far from it. Between here and Teton Reserve I'd play reserve 100 Times before coming back here.

Rates are high but not super high. - Greens are in great shape, very contoured and fast. - Fairways mostly give you good lies. Some bad patches. - Water everywhere. - Lots of bunkers, mostly in good condition but some were a bit hard-packed. - Multiple tees, more than any I've encountered elsewhere. - No beverage cart service during our round, which kind of surprised me, but water is available at the tee boxes. The driving range - located a short distance to the north of the clubhouse - has complimentary balls and they're in good condition. You'll also find a small chipping & bunker practice area there. The practice green is near the clubhouse. Starter gave me a yardage booklet when he learned it was my first time there - nice. I've only played one round but the pace of play was good. My group had to wait at a few tee boxes towards the end but still finished in under four hours. Overall, a pretty nice place to play golf.

Okay - as mentioned in my previous reviews, I love to golf and try different courses throughout the…read morecountry when just a short drive away. Staying in Idaho Falls for a small wedding, my parents, husband and I decided to spend a morning on the golf course before heading into the festivities. Sand Creek was the course of choice, thanks Dad!, and proved to be pretty much meh. COURSE: Located in literally the middle of nowhere, we found ourselves lost in just getting to the course. Despite using our phone for directions, google easily rerouted us to the country club, which was not our destination and only added to the frustration in attempting to find the course, and get there in a timely fashion. After doing some map digging, we spotted the course and headed that way! The course itself is nice, well taken care of and provides a variety of greens to challenge all skill levels! SERVICE: Upon arrival, there was no one to be found. The pro shop window was closed, the bar/restaurant was not open and not a soul in sight. We ended up spotting a woman carrying ice into the restaurant area and inquired with her before she waved down her boss to check us in and provide us with golf carts. She was friendly, but seemed annoyed that we interrupted her set up process. After using the bathroom, we opted for breakfast drinks on the course to loosen the mood, but she was unable to provide us with any hard alcohol, stupid Idaho drinking laws! However, she was generous enough to mix up a few drinks for us, and allow us to "start a tab" and pay after our round! Food is also offered, via order at the counter or call from any spot on the golf course for delivery or pick up once finished! The pro shop attendant was nice, allowed us to start at any time (regardless of our scheduled tee time) and made for quick but friendly interaction. Just a note: Masks are NOT required/were not required in this county when we played our round (early September) which made for a little bit of an uncomfortable experience. Being from Denver, where our restrictions are much harsher, I was surprised to see no one wearing masks, keeping socially distant or providing additional cleaning supplies. However, keep an eye out in the bar area, the sweet bartender makes and sells her own mask creations! Although, we had a fun experience, I'd easily choose another Idaho Falls course over this one next time

I'll preface this with I'm horrible at golf and play maybe twice a year. I'm not well versed in…read moregolf courses, i've only played on a half dozen or so. Golf Shop- good I guess, the employees there are very nice and they seem to have lots of golf equipment. Course- It was the first really nice day of the season and the place was packed. We got on in a relatively brief amount of time, maybe 10-15 mins. The course itself is challenging and for the fact we are just starting April it is pretty green. Golf Patrons- Once again I suck at golf, I realize this and won't spend 20 minutes trying to find a ball when there is a line of golfers waiting to tee up. If people had some basic common courtesy it wouldn't have taken us 4.5 hours to golf 9 holes. Also, if you have a child golfing with you, don't let them go 30 over par on every hole. This is another reasons why there should be some sort of golf etiquette class/agreement before you start golfing. IN CONCLUSION: I really enjoyed this golf course minus the horrible (and I mean horrible at life, not horrible at golf) people in front of us.
