It opened our hearts and minds to an incredible birthing process. We learned so much more about childbirth than we had known in the past. We had a beautiful, healthy pregnancy, and a healthy childbirth. While it took our little guy 27 hours of labor to join the world, my wife was prepared for it thanks to the guidance of our doulas. This would have been a much harder experience without them. Frankly, it would have been hell! I cannot recommend using a doula enough for childbirth. It helped me so much and it was a huge help for my wife.

We both thought that it would be beneficial to have someone else there to help us during this process and we were right. Having Kim with us during labor was a game changer. She not only helped me with different pain management techniques but was a calming presence when we dealt with hostile nurses and a stressful labor process. She helped my husband understand decisions that he could make and helped him navigate through a surprisingly complicated labor process. I ended up having a C-section under general anesthesia so he couldn't be in the room and the hospital staff wasn't great in their communication with him. Kim helped ensure that he could be with me in recovery and that I was able to have skin to skin with my baby even if I wasn't fully conscious yet - all things that my husband wouldn't have even known to push for. She was also extremely helpful as a lactation consultant and helped to diagnose me with nipple vasospasm, which helped me be able to breastfeed my baby. Most people would have diagnosed me with thrush based on my symptoms, but when Kim checked in on us after we were home she let me know that this was not the case and I was able to try a few things to help with this. She was extremely helpful with other tips to help with breastfeeding as well. I would definitely recommend Kim to anyone who is thinking of having a doula! She wasn't there just for me, but was there for my husband as well - something we didn't realize how much this was needed at the beginning of our journey. Worth every penny!

Both empathetic and whip-smart, Ellie helped identify specific actions we could take to get sleep back on track. It was so reassuring to make a plan with her and to have real time follow up so that we could course correct and adjust as needed. When we encountered some challenges with the 2 to 1 nap transition, Ellie was the only person we wanted help from and once again she was exactly the resource we needed. We also felt SO supported by Ellie as a birth and postpartum doula for our second child. Using zoom, email, text, and phone, Ellie was like an expert big sister in the weeks leading up to the birth, as well as in the beginnings of labor, and most especially in the early postpartum period. The birth escalated so quickly that there wasn't time for zoom support, but honestly the postpartum support alone was invaluable (and thank goodness for Ellie's nudge via phone for us to hightail it to the hospital-- our son was almost born in the car). Her expertise in sleep and lactation along with being a thoughtful and experienced mom of three... I truly can't speak highly enough. We will forever be grateful to Ellie for helping us grow into happier, stronger parents, and she will forever be our go-to for all questions parenting / birth / sleep!

My husband and I then took the Yoga for Birth class that she teaches and that was beyond helpful and really helped us feel ready, or as ready as possible, with techniques and poses to help during labor and birth. And then after my baby was born we went to the baby and mom yoga classes. She really creates a culture of open sharing and non judgment. She also encourages Moms to look to each other for support and resources so that you can start new relationships with moms going through the same thing as you are. Finally, I had Darcy come to my house for a lactation consultation and she was so helpful and again encouraging. I will definitely lean on Darcy again for my next pregnancy!

I've been to other lactation consultants who pretty much take over the whole process and not let you do it yourself so when you get back home you still have no idea what you're doing. I just had a home birth with Tiffany as my midwife and am in awe of her skill as a midwife and her gentle wholistic manner toward my personal needs throughout my pregnancy and labor. Every bump in the road of my pregnancy she handled with absolute humility and knowledge, outsourcesing where it was appropriate and drawing from every resource even if it was her valuable time to offer me her availability (and this is saying a lot because she is highly sought after as it is). She provides extra time and visits for every concern, never diminishing even the smallest questions. She has a unique gift of being able to connect with mom and baby and intuit and nurture all the needs as she goes. She is truly selfless. She has a professionalism and demeanor that exude respect and deep care for her birthing and nursing mothers and builds a relationship that instills trust and confidence in her care for you throughout pregnancy , labor, birth, after care and nursing. Not only would I recommend Tiffany to be your midwife and lactation consultant, I would agressively attempt to convince you to look no further because you will be in the best hands. Tiffany has taught me more than I could have ever imagined about my own strengths and capacities where my confidence greatly lacked as a mother especially through her own example.
