Tried multiple times to contact this dealership by email about a truck they had listed and never received a response. Eventually I drove in to see it myself. The parking lot setup was chaotic with very little direction on where customers are supposed to park, and the driveway was extremely tight and difficult to navigate. A salesman approached me and seemed annoyed to even grab the keys for the truck. Beyond that, there was basically no effort to help. I asked a few questions and was told he'd look into them, but I never heard back. He didn't ask for my name, number, or anything. I had to ask for his card myself. A couple days later I reached out to two more salespeople and even made an offer on the truck. One replied saying he'd get back to me, and then never did. Absolutely never go here! Bought a 2007 chevy cobalt. The transmission blew in a week. Signing an as is no warranty I figured was because it needed new tires an alignment and needed the anti theft stereo unlocked by a chevy dealer. Did not think it would mean the transmission would go out in a week and leave me stranded. They do not care will not make it right and they don't even care that I am putting in a complaint to the attorney generals office. Avoid Valley VIP Auto Sales at All Costs! I purchased a vehicle from Valley VIP Auto Sales, and it has been nothing short of a nightmare. Within days of driving off the lot, the car developed a laundry list of serious issues including transmission problems, engine problems and electrical problems. Initially, I was assured by JD, the manager who sold me the car, that they would take care of these issues. Over the course of several weeks, I drove an hour each way to their shop--8 times--hoping they'd stand by their word. Instead, their mechanics misdiagnosed the issues or outright refused to work on the car telling my wife multiple times to "get the f*** out". What's worse is JD's behavior. When I followed his instructions, he would yell at me, deny responsibility, and reject my pleads to speak to his manager. When asked for a timeline, I was told that they would fix the issues "someday". After a few months, JD suggested I get a rental car and leave my vehicle at their shop indefinitely, without clarity on when the car would be repaired. When I asked for a concrete date to bring the car in, JD said he was no longer going to help me with any problems. To make matters worse, I was dealing with this during a time when my wife was a week from giving birth when we bought the car. JD knew this and purposely led us along for months leading us to believe we would get help. This dealership led me on with false promises, wasted countless hours of my time, and left me with a car full of issues that they refuse to fix. I understand used cars can have problems, but the dishonesty and complete lack of professionalism from Valley VIP Auto Sales is unacceptable. On June 29th, my husband and I arrived at the appleway location. It was a Saturday and they were particularly busy. The nice lady we spoke with let us know it was going to be a short wait. We waited over an hour to pay $10,000 cash for a car. The gentleman who was responsible for the sales was less then excited to take our money. Regardless that I was excited this would be my car for many years, the sales man made it known he was turning cars all day and was less than impressed with my transaction. Here I am 30 days later, 3 phone calls to the location and still no title. I have been met with snarky young men on the phone who in no way want to assist me. I bought a jeep grand Cherokee 3.0 L diesel from VIP auto sales in the valley and have had nothing but issues with it since I bought it. They claim it goes through a 10 point inspection I believe I could be wrong on that but one thing they Said and basically I couldn't get the loan or purchase a vehicle unless I bought the warranty with it. Well, I bought the warranty for 100,000 miles and it literally has covered nothing that has been wrong with the vehicle. I have now over $2000 invested in mechanical issues and still don't know if it's going to be right. When I purchased the vehicle, one of the tires was low and I asked them to check it out and they said they checked it out and that it was just low that it could've been a bead issue from sitting. Come to find out I purchased it and drove it away, and in less than 24 hours found that there was a nail in the sidewall and went and told them that for one, there's no way that those are new tires like they had claimed, and that there was a nail in the sidewall. Their response overall was well that sucks and I'm sorry to hear that but they wouldn't work with me at all on it. After taking my jeep home, I realize that they really never even detailed it after they got it from the auction. My only appeal was that it had a clean Carfax and was a one owner vehicle. In my opinion, which became very clear to me, is that all they did is clear the codes and crossed their fingers that no codes would come up while it would be on a test drive because I have had nothing but problems and several different codes. In the few months that I've owned it, it has been off the road longer than it has been on the road, I would highly suggest a more reputable company that actually cares about their customers read more

Bought a yukon denali xl drove it less then 300 miles its now in the shop for bad transmission and the motor is more than likely shot I'm glad I got a warranty but still call them like they said if anything happens to it within 30 days talked to them the first two people all but laughed at my wife and then called again got offered to trade it in at pennies on the dollar. DIRTY OIL, BURNT OUT HEADLIGHTS RUSTING OUT TRUCK. Do not even go to this lot. I bought a 2014 F-150 with 135K miles on it. The truck ran and drove great. Not long after I got it home the check engine light came on. I hooked up my code reader the code could be multiple things I started with the easiest an oil change. That was the dirtiest oil I have ever seen. I never knew that could cause a check engine light. The next morning I went two drive it do work and no headlights both bulbs were burnt out. I thought the truck was just loud, then I noticed a two inch gap in the exhaust. When I looked at the truck me and my dad thought the rubber undercoating was a good thing. Then when I took it to a mechanic because of a clunking noise (broken sway bar links), I was told they just sprayed that on to up rust. All of the suspension was shot and a 9 year old truck was rusting out. The mechanic recommended getting rid of the truck. I sold the truck to a car lot and lost around 8k. read more

I would be very careful if you plan to buy a car here. My experience with vip was about a silver 2011 ram Laramie 1500. The truck had a check engine light on it. Vip said they would fix it. I showed up two days later and they said they wouldn't fix it unless I bought the truck first. This is a violation of Washington law, as I now understand it, to sell a truck in the condition it was in. After I refused they said they would see if they could get the truck fixed. I had put money down on the truck because they said they would fix the issue. I found out that the truck has been previously diagnosed with lifter problems and a mechanic had noted that it likely needed a new cam shaft. Of the two diagnoses the last one was at a dealership just prior to it going to auction where vip auto bought it. This was all discussed with vip. The day my down payment expired they said the fixed the issue by replacing the sensor. They then provided a picture via text of a O'Reilly auto parts receipt for a camshaft sensor signed by the mechanic in a black sharpie. No record of what was checked prior to replacing the sensor. No mention of checking the lifters for problems. They refused to refund my deposit-- which the attorney generals office says is a violation of Washington state law. Originally they said the deposit was a non-refundable 'hold' and that 'hold' would be applied to the purchase price of the truck. But any money that is taken that is going to be applied the the purchase of a vehicle is a deposit regardless of how it's worded to try and circumvent the law. I looked up two other trucks while I was looking into the issues with the truck I was interested in. Both had problems with their mechanical service history record. When I was in the larger white building they have they had a bunch of room dividers set up that were about 5' tall and blocked off part of what most dealers would have used as a show room. Behind those dividers they had cars jacked up and torn apart with parts laying all over the floor. It looked more like a chop shop than a dealership. There were no car lifts or mechanics tools boxes that I saw. Just parts and tools spread around the floor and on benches. My impression of this dealership is that they buy the cheapest cars and trucks they can, patch then together, try to make sure their customer buys an extended warranty (another story) and then hope the warranty covers the issues they know the vehicle has. While I was there the sales man referenced several other situations where: one of the cars they sold needed a new transmission, another one they were forced by legal action to take back because they sold with mechanical problems which is, again, a violation. If state law. If you have a bad experience you have several options. One is to contact the Washington state attorney generals office. There are quiet a few complaints about valley vip auto. When they get enought complains they will pursue legal action against the dealership. The second thing you can do is contact the Washington state department of licensing. They will also review and possibly fine the dealership and/or revoke their license. The other options you have are taking your own legal action, as well as public reviews so others don't fall into the same trap. You may also join a class action lawsuit should one get started. read more

I'm well aware in this economy that people have to work hard to save up to buy a decent vehicle. I also realize that the employees have families that need roofs over their heads and food on their tables. That being said I was there today with my boyfriend and I have great concern over their business practices. We were very hopeful to find a good little rig that I could drive away with. We decided on test driving a few of them. The first one I took to the road I noticed the transmission light came on right away. Although I did like the vehicle I decided that during the test drive I'd take it in to have one of the codes read to see what was the problem was and if it would be a simple fix. The results were shocking. It pretty much said that the vehicle was catastrophic failure and would not pass emissions. I thought well maybe it's just a lemon on the lot. I wasn't looking for a super nice care mainly a reliable enough beater vehicle to get by for about two or three years. Well we pulled back in and I told the associate about the problem. I also handed him the codes that came up and said I don't think it's going to work out with that one. The strange thing was the associate didn't really seemed surprised. More or less didn't appear to be bothered my the information I brought forth and handed to him and he appear to be more or less ticked off that I would have the codes read in the first place. I was really taken back by the lack of concern. I get that he does sales and not maintenance but he just crumpled the paper and shoved in in his pocket like nothing was going to be done and he'll sell it to some sucker later. Anyways I decided well I did my part to make it known that should be addressed with their mechanic. Moving forward... we talked about some other vehicle and it sounded pretty good and reasonable for the price. I decided sure I'll take it for a spin. Well I started the rig up. It immediately had a light on the screen saying low air pressure. I did want to drive it but also wasn't going to put our lives or anyone else's in danger so we got got of the vehicle and looked at the tire. Sure enough there was a screw in it. I felt terrible to have to tell the associate about the problem. I know that's a simple fix. But again he kinda seemed like it's just another day and surprised that I wouldn't test drive it anyways. There was about a 17 pound pressure difference in that tire. No way was I going to take that chance. The next vehicle I decided to take for a drive he was kind enough to suggest was similar to the first vehicle just a year or so difference. he pulled in out for us. I thought this is a little higher priced but okay I'll swing it. We took off for the drive. I followed the same drive as the first vehicle. I was just telling my boyfriend it's seemed to be alright. maybe a little alignment issue and in need of a break check and router might be a bit worn down probably an easy fix. But then the transmission light flashed on about halfway through the drive. Now, I'm by no means a mechanic ... but I do know enough that if you unplug a battery that your codes will disappear from the dash for a short time. Of course the vehicles I drove today didn't have a warranty. I'm just concerned that somebody who doesn'T know anything about vehicles in general are going to be taken for a very costly ride. I have great concern for the safety of other drivers on the roads. Especially for those traveling with children in their vehicles. I really hope that this business can change their practices. Maybe hire a better mechanic to properly inspect the vehicles. Have or show more care for their customer's well being. And not exploit people out of hard earned money to find a decent priced vehicle. well as you can guess I decided not to buy a car from him today. Although I felt bad for wasting his time. I visited the lot on two different occasions looking at a Ford Flex with slightly high miles, but appeared to be in decent shape. It was getting new tires so couldn't be driven at the time. Was able to start it and noticed pretty considerable clicking, but for the price I was still interested. Called back two different times and was told that it was being worked on by their "shop manager" and that someone would get me an update. The sales rep (Luke) never returned my calls. The third call that I made to him, he told me that "...that service manager is no longer with the company and that nobody in the shop knows what he did to that vehicle, but that the vehicle was "totally" drivable if [I] wanted to come in for a test drive." I chose to pass on the vehicle and would suggest that anyone not looking for a new personal mechanical project should similarly pass on this lot. read more

Recently test drove 2007 Mercury Mountaineer, twice, with the intention of seriously buying. On my second drive, I took it in to Scully's Automotive for an inspection. Thank God. Was given estimates for approximately $2,000 of repair, including full brakes, which were found to be almost at the metal. I took the estimates to Jake at VIP and made a low ball offer based on repairs. He pretty much scoffed and told me that it was almost half of the asking price. He said the mechanics obviously just wanted to make money. He said he would repair the brakes for $150. I then mentioned that I had done my homework on the vehicle and knew that it had been purchased at auction in June by VIP for $2,500 and that they had had plenty of time to make repairs --- and why were they selling a vehicle with no brakes in the first place??? He basically just shrugged and I left. For all I know the car is still on the lot. I do think some buyers end up with good vehicles. Make sure to do your due diligence. Never trust what a car salesperson tells you, ever. Research vehicle history and either bring a mechanic with your or pay $100 for an inspection. read more

BUYER BEWARE! DISHONEST OWNERS! They are quick and eager to get you to sign the dotted line. Once that's done. Be prepared for a Jekyll and Hyde mentality. I bought a Buick from Ben back in March. Of course extremely Charming, and seemed very personable. I explained to him it was my first time buying a vehicle on my own. That I am a single parent, who works full time, so, very busy, and basically ignorant to the car buying process. That I really needed this to be an honest experience. Of course I was met with utter reassurance I would be fine. I ended up taking the vehicle into a Buick dealership to have a used car inspection performed. Before I finalized my paperwork with the loan company. Which came back with several repairs that the vehicle needed. One being both of the front struts, and a transmission flush. I sent Ben copies of the report along with my request that the front struts and transmission flush be taken care of by him before I proceeded with finishing the loan on the vehicle. Ben assured me they would take care of both of those so the vehicle was brought back in. All seemed well for the first month. But then I started noticing some vibration coming from front end of the vehicle not thinking much of it as I live in a rural community so bumps happen. This progressively became worse and I took the vehicle in and had it inspected. Not only has the same dealership I initially took it too, I also took it to Les Schwab's, for a second opinion. I Was told by both businesses the front struts on the vehicle needed replaced and had not been as they were clearly worn and old. I have reached out to Ben on several occasions regarding the $700 dollar matter to no avail. So now I have to start proceedings to take this to small claims court. Thank God, all our communication was done through text messaging. So his dishonesty is irrefutable. But what a pain in the ass to me to have to go about it this way when it should have been handled the day I drove the car back 150 miles round trip and spent 9 hours sitting and waiting.
