They texted me to come pick him up he was very out of it they said he was hard to go under so according to the assistant they gave my 30 pound dog enough to knock out a 50 pound dog. Not only do they provide affordable spay/neuter and dental services, but they are literally out here saving pets lives!! My current vet prices for dental cleanings doubled, leaving me looking for other more affordable options while still wanting to take care of my pets needs! Upon a recommendation I saw on the Nextdoor app, I discovered the wonderful folks at County Line Vet in Berthoud! They offer several outpatient clinic services/surgeries at prices that really can't be beat! It's such a wonderful place to visit as well if you get a chance!! They have a little animal sanctuary with lots of free roaming happy farm animals like goats, ducks, chickens and even an emu! You park your car in their large lot and you text them that you've arrived and they come to pick up your pet. Staff is super friendly, caring and very nice as they pick up your precious babies! But you're not bored while you wait in your car, because they have hundreds of the cutest prairie dogs running around outside playing that keep you quite entertained!! I am not affiliated with them by any means by the way. Just a loving cat parent wanting the best for her pets in a not so great economy! Since he was going under anesthesia anyway, I asked the staff to have them look at what my vet told me was just a harmless sebaceous cyst on his face & no need to worry about it unless it popped! Since it had grown a bit since last year. I asked if they thought I should remove it at same time of dental cleaning or just leave it alone. The vet looked at "cyst" free of charge and told me that didn't look like any sebaceous cyst she had seen in past! So to my surprise, we agreed on a plan to while he was under anesthesia, to do a fine needle aspiration & look at it under microscope, so vet can see if she can determine what this mass actually is? They were not able to clearly identify the mass! So they decided to remove the mass completely and send it off to pathology to determine what it actually is! Exactly a week later, the day before 4th of July. I got the results! The vet texted me herself personally! Not a tech, but the actual vet! How impressive is that! She even responded back to questions too! It turned out to be a cancerous mast cell tumor, but fortunately since we caught it early, it was low grade, but with narrow margins, which means I have to watch it for regrowth of the surgical area or anywhere else on the body. But wow! Thanks to my instincts to ask vet to check it out and more so for the staff not dismissing it so quickly like my other vet! They took my question and concern very seriously and did all the steps to ensure my kitty had top of the line care! His teeth cleaning went smoothly & only had to remove one tooth. Between the dental cleaning, anesthesia, tooth removal, extra anesthesia time, fine needle aspiration biopsy, microscope examination, mass removal, stitches and sending mass out for pathology! Cost for all those extra services (~$700) were still cheaper than just dental quote at other vet not including all the mass issues!! Without all the mass issues, for the dental alone it would've been half of that cost! So very affordable considering most dental quotes are over $1k !! I shiver at thought of what would've happened if I never said anything about his so called cyst and how bad his cancer could've gotten, if it hadn't been for the wonderful staff at county line vet. So scary to think this tumor could've gotten bigger or spread, all the while I'm thinking it's harmless cyst like the other vet said! We are so grateful to have this practice in the community to offer us low cost care options but whom are also truly caring of our pets at the same time. The staff answered all my questions and sent me copies of all the results within minutes of the request. Just truly professional all around and not annoyed with my silly questions like if they can text me his weight. Just amazing really!! I truly think they saved my cats life from having a potential missed cancer diagnosis!! Mast cell cancer when caught early is very treatable, I'm just so appreciative of this clinic!! Their check in confirmations are pretty adorable too! Just wanted to share my experience and give a shout out to this amazing local provider and their staff and veterinary providers!

Dr. Reiter did not hesitate to tell me when she thought another vet was being overzealous in their treatment approach, and she was ultimately right. I much prefer the float vets that fill in when she is out. Although the owner does have pitbulls so is not afraid of mine (which is the biggest draw to this clinic)! Overall underwhelmed and have felt judged for my desire to treat things more naturally and holistically, which is how I prefer my own care so of course want the same for my baby. Have a family member who was not texted a reminder so missed their appointment and were charged for the visit. I get it, but it was very annoying they blamed them when it was their system that caused the error. Unfortunately we will be looking for a new vet for all our animals. Update after owner response: My family member was called back after missing the appointment without receiving the notification (an internal mixup for that, but your system mixup with incorrect contact details that were never verified when appointment was set) and immediately threatened to be sent to collections. They understood there was a mix up in notifications and planned to pay the fee. Your staff did not need to threaten collections which is what caused the anger and angst. The fee was paid but you've lost multiple clients. I'm sorry if there was profanity, which is not appropriate, and for that I apologize. We have also not once been given any information on acupuncture or other holistic treatments and have been told natural options and non pharmaceutical ideas would not work or were not recommended by you and others in the clinic (travel vet). It's unfortunate you tell us about these items via a public review, but not while in office seeking care for our precious animals. We've been looking for acupuncture and had no idea you were trained. And I have brought up my discomfort to you around non-holistic options at multiple appointments. It would have been nice to be provided alternatives while there seeking care instead of told by review. Yesterday's events did precipitate this review, but the sentiments have been the same throughout our time together, which is unfortunate. We wish you well.
