The previous owners lived across the street from the lady who trained the dog... and the trainer works at No Leash Needed. After a couple months, we visited and learned how she has trained our dog - we learned the simple words that he already knew and we were then able to communicate with him better, from dinner time to playing fetch and more. We have also had our dog visit NLN for doggie day camp - during-the-day stays, and for overnight stays. The staff is clearly capable and competent and loves dogs. And our dog loves visiting there... he has lots of fun. We are thankful that No Leash Needed helped us understand our dog and that it has great day services and overnight boarding. His normal place sent him a last minute email that they had accidentally overbooked and he would be waitlisted. By last minute, I mean 30 mins before we were going to leave and drop him off. In a panic, we found Country Acres, who was able to take him last minute. They are incredible kind and patient, despite us getting every piece of information wrong. We knew his pup was in good hands, because all of the handlers we met were so nice and understanding, and at pick up explained he had actually ran out of food in the morning and they supplemented. The facility is extremely well maintained, offers additional services to really make your furry family member feel at home or pampered.

As it turned out, my two canine hooligans had pulled my original sitter to the ground and put her out of commission. I was mortified. Fortunately for me, she was very forgiving and even more fortunate was that she called Daryn into service. Initially, I was a little concerned about having someone who I had not met watch the dynamic duo. So I sent in a trusted canine advisor to check out the situation. She appraised the situation and assured me that the hounds were in very capable hands. When I got home the pups were like 'meh'. Which, as a doggie daddy was a *little* disappointing, but more importantly it told me that my Weimies were very well taken care of. Christy graciously came along at the last second when our pet sitting arrangement fell through during the holidays and took care of them with lots of love and care. Despite us having to go out of town again for a whole week soon, we are doing so comfortably knowing that Christy will take great care of them. She will send you text updates of how things went and sometimes with pictures too. She will also turn on the porch light at night and pick up mails for you, which are great additional services. This was our first time using Dogtopia and from the minute we called and spoke to the lady answering the phone and throughout our entire week stay we have been so impressed with the professionalism and attention Lilly received while we were out of town. Trust me, we watched the web cam everyday and numerous times throughout the day because 6 of us were missing her like crazy. What we saw gave us so much relief. One of your staff members was always in the play room with the dogs and they were petting them, cleaning up their "business," and making sure the dogs were all playing nicely together. The last thing I want to comment on is your intake process. I was so impressed that we basically were being evaluated for 3 days to see if our dog was a good fit for your facility. That told us that you are not just taking in a bunch of dogs to fill your spaces but that you truly wanted to make sure Dogtopia was a good fit for her too (not too anxious, gets along with other dogs). That told us that you weren't letting dogs board there that were too aggressive or that just weren't ready to be in this type of play environment.
