No one wants to start their day off finding out that their vehicle was towed. but an even worse way is when you simply are trying to ask questions and the woman on the phone wont even let you get a sentence out without screaming at you. I understand that doing this job they must deal with some complete A-holes but we simple are not that. Our vehicle got towed out of a miscommunication, and we simply needed to know how to retrieve it. Instead of having proper communication and customer service we felt harassed and belittled. My son resides in Royal Crest and arrived home last nite after a long day of moving and working to someone parked in his assigned (and paid for) spot. He called Valley Towing as instructed by Royal. He called a couple of times bc he forgot to leave info (license plate of car, description, where he would be parked w his hazards on while he waited ). Things like this because he has never had to deal w it before. It's a machine. Not a live person. Fast forward 15 hours later still no call Back. And car still parked in his spot. I call Valley and ask them to return his call and do something. I get a call from a private number "is your husband there". I said who is calling? "Valley Towing" and she immediately starts calling my son a liar. And going off on me. "Your son called 5 times in 5 minutes and he is a liar". I said I apologize he called so many times. He kept realizing he left info out so he was calling back. (And who cares it s machine. Not a live person) She again called him a liar and "all those kids lie". I said excuse me?? What did he lie about?? She was silent. I said what is he lying about? Have you called him? "No". I said it's been 15 hours. He isn't lying about anything. She said we are dealing w Royal on this. I said well you should still call people Back and let them know. Common sense! She then called my son and told him illegal to block the person in (even tho he had to seek out offsite parking last nite for fear of getting towed himself) and that if they show up and the car has moved, my son will be charged. Had the unfortunate pleasure of getting my car towed by Valley Towing. For starters, the lady working the front desk is extremely rude and confrontational. From the moment I parked with a family member in the parking lot to walk inside to start the process to retrieve my vehicle she needed to make it known that she was in control and even stared at us in disgust as we parked. I was simply trying to get my vehicle back and go into work, but she constantly felt the need to take little jabs and insult me. My family member was also unable to enter the building as well, according to her it was due to COVID-19, mind you when we both offered to wear masks she still stated that it was not allowed and even proceeded to smoke a cigarette during my inspection of the vehicle which makes no sense. They only take cash, which shows that something fishy is going on. I believe several state investigations have even taken place, hopefully they discover something. I went to go inspect my vehicle and she assured me that there was no damage. And as I did a thorough inspection she repeatedly just told me to get in the car and drive way. Throughout my inspection I noted some scuffs which indicated a lack of care, she stated that the scuffs were my fault which I would believe if my truck had not been brand new from the dealership with 12 miles on it. I understand no one likes to get their vehicle towed, but the customer service is terrible and from the moment I knew my truck was being held here, it brought on extreme stress and anxiety. They do not treat their customers with respect at all. If you are a property owner and need to employ a tow company please think twice before employing these crooks. Sketchy place, towed my car from my apt complex due to lack of sticker. When I picked up my vehicle my permit was sitting right on the dadh board, when we demanded an explanation and a refund they sat there and argued with us for 20 mins. The called back verbally attacking us via a private number after giving us our refund. They will try to lie and say things like "the guys just left, so you will have to pick it up another day if it's over the phone. In my case, if I didn't show up to their business they would have charged me for 5 more days. However, I showed up because I saw that they were open until 4pm regardless of their stinking lie, and then they had no choice but to release my car. They were closed and charged me for holding the car. They wouldn't let me get it back that day, but still somehow felt it was ethical to charge me for it. The woman told me to get out and stop wasting everyone's time because I was checking for damages on the vehicle upon picking it up. While signing the paperwork to get my car, the man stood behind me peering over my shoulder. As the woman rudely asked if there was something wrong. Then told me I had already wasted enough of her time, and to just get done with it. Walked out back, my sticker on my car that i've had for 4 years is now gone. She yelled at my girlfriend to stay outside. Then also told me they record everything. I didn't really get it, but it felt like they were trying to intimidate me. First let me say this company has many documented cases of over charging and it's bad enough that someone started an entire website about it. On yelp there is a video of a car being towed without proper attachment so that when they stopped the car ran into the truck. Here's my part. My car was towed from apartment complex because my parking pass had fallen down so that's not the issue. The issue is they overcharge in several ways. They are only open 10-4 on weekdays, compared with most other companies that are 24h. This allows them to charge for extra storage days because you physically can't get the car. How can they charge you to store your car for days you have no way of getting it back? Additionally the legally allowed max charge for unsecured car storage fee is $17.50 a day. It was unsecured when we got there and I have a video proving that but it's too big to attach so I included some pictures. Their fee of $35 is the legal max (if it was secured) however this is much more than other companies/locations which speaks to their predatory behavior. In Boston cars towed by the city are charged $15 a day max. They also charge a "certified mail fee" which is a real thing but certified mail at the post office is $4. They charge $30. Another fee they charge is "cleanup" fee but this is a normal car that had not been in an accident and would cause no damage to their truck that would require cleaning if they moved it properly. Yet another problem is their $50 "administration fee" that is not accounted for in the state regulatory rules (screenshot included) and from what I can see might very well be illegal. read more

When I was living at Royal Crest, I had the unfortunate experience of having my car towed twice from Valley Towing. I could write an article on Royal Crest as well but I'll stay with Valley Towing for this. I just moved into the apartments and arrived too late to get a parking pass, so I left a note all over my car saying I just moved in so I couldn't get a parking pass. Woke up the next morning and my car was gone. Great, payed $240 to get it back. And then at the end of my time living there it got towed again. Parked next to a car that didn't have a sticker, and I get towed but the other car doesn't. So I show up and they told me to, "Make it quick since we have to go on lunch" they're opened for only around 4 hours a day and they take an hour lunch and charge you an extra $40 for every day it's there. So I go and pay and as I'm walking out they go, "Don't park in a fire lane next time". I turn around since I was parked in an actual spot and asked where they towed my car from. They said I parked in a fire lane and that's illegal, when I showed them photos of my car they started to get defensive and said they'll lock my car in if I keep it up. In which I said if they do I'll call the police since I have the receipt from me getting my car out. They gave up and I got my car, they kindly flipped me off on my way out. read more

The lady at the front desk is absolutely disgusting and a nasty human being who tried to find any way to make a quick buck because they are obviously out of money. My truck (which I bought NEW 5 weeks earlier), was gone. We received it the next morning and I wanted to inspect to make sure there were no damages. The nasty monster at the front desk then tried to not let me look at my vehicle, and stated "there were no damages." After doing a quick 30 second glance of the lower half of my truck, I noticed the front right rim had been ruined. A huge chunk of the Rim, closest to the bead of the tire was sliced off. She then shriveled up because she knew what had happened and claimed that incident was old, also stating that I was trying to commit insurance fraud. I refused to pay $600.00 to get my car back after it was towed by Valley Towing the day before. The old lady started screaming at me saying that she would charge what ever the f**k she wanted and when I asked to speak to the owner, an old man who said his name was Ron told me to get the f**k out of his office and he was just gonna send my car to the crusher. Truly awful. The lady was mean. Scammed me to pay extra for a tow which was shady in the first place. My apartment complex has Valley Towing as their tow service. My car is registered with the apartment. One morning, my parking sticker wasn't up... they towed my car without bothering about the license plate being registered. That's not the bad part though. They told me I needed to pay $140 in cash to pay for the car tow, then later, told me it was $161. I likely won't press charges because I didn't get them on recording saying $140, and it isn't a huge amount. I question WHY they are tax only. Another red flag is that they could not provide any copy of a fee schedule for towed cars, so could make up whatever they wanted. If law allows it, START VIDEO RECORDING AS SOON AS YOU SHOW UP. Only if law allows. The rudeness is awful, but if you find yourself stuck with them, watch yourself for the scam. read more
