Changed too often, they lied about filing paperwork for months. They would up "firing" the patient because they were abusive and wrong. The patient was in the emergency room for 4 days because they wouldn't help with insulin or medical equipment. You can't call, you can only email. They will not respond. I was told I should be grateful someone was talking to me after 5pm on a Friday and if I really needed Insulin just go to the ER. They literally think HUMALOG and NOVOLOG are the same. They yelled at me saying Insulin doesn't need Prior Auths ever and I was harassing them. I will be complaining the CA Board as they have no care for anyone and will kill someone, as they almost killed this patient. Essentially you have to have the perfect case of TYPE 1 for them or they will fire you, gaslight you, and then try and get you to use an insulin that has documentation it doesn't work because they don't want to deal with insurance. Unfortunately, this experience has left such a bad impression that, despite genuinely liking Dr. Eskander as a physician, I will not be returning to her practice. Last year, Dr. Eskander notified patients that she would no longer be contracted with Motion Picture Anthem Blue Cross effective at the end of the year. Because I valued her care, I chose to continue seeing her as a cash-pay patient at $149 per visit, with the understanding that I could submit a superbill to my insurance for potential reimbursement. I had appointments in December 2025, January 2026, and April 2026. I waited until April to submit all three superbills to my insurance. After waiting several months, I received Explanations of Benefits showing that payments had been made to Dr. Eskander. That is when the situation became frustrating. My insurance is now stating that Dr. Eskander was still in-network for my December 2025 and January 2026 visits, meaning those claims should have been billed directly to the insurance company rather than paid out of pocket by me. According to my insurance, the provider should reimburse me for those visits. To make matters even more confusing, my insurance reimbursed me for my April 2026 visit because Dr. Eskander was, in fact, out of network at that time. This further highlights the distinction between the April visit and the first two visits, which my insurance says occurred while she was still in network. I am simply trying to get this billing issue resolved fairly and appropriately. When I contacted the office to resolve this, Nauf insisted that she had been told it did not matter whether Dr. Eskander was still under contract and that the office was permitted to handle things this way. Rather than making an effort to understand my concerns or help clarify the conflicting information, Nauf was rude, condescending, and showed absolutely no empathy or willingness to resolve the issue. What makes this even more frustrating is that I had requested months ago for Dr. Eskander to be made aware of the situation and asked for a call from her. I never received one. My concerns have remained unresolved, and the lack of communication has been just as disappointing as the billing issue itself. I have worked with numerous providers who operate on a cash-pay basis and provide superbills for insurance reimbursement, and I have never encountered an experience like this. I understand that insurance billing can be complicated, but patients should not be left caught in the middle of conflicting information, especially when they are paying out of pocket and trying to follow the proper process. It is unfortunate because I truly liked Dr. Eskander and appreciated her care. However, a medical practice is more than just the physician. The office staff, professionalism, communication, and willingness to address patient concerns matter tremendously. Being treated dismissively when trying to resolve a legitimate billing concern is unacceptable. Sadly, the office staff's handling of this situation has cost Dr. Eskander a patient. No matter how much I appreciate a doctor's care, I cannot justify continuing with a practice where I feel disrespected and where billing concerns and requests for communication go unresolved. I hope the office takes these concerns seriously and makes meaningful improvements to how patients are treated.

They never got back to me. They canceled my appointment and now that was this week and now he's not available until April of next year so how am I supposed to get consistent care when he's always unavailable? He also went on leave for three months. I think that the people who are answering the phone really are not relaying messages. They need to get their act together and communicate.
