After considerable research, I placed an order for a Hot Spring Flash for my West Virginia home…read morewith Luxury Pool and Spa on July 23, 2020. Unfortunately, this has been a regrettable decision. I completely understand the manufacturer backlogs driven by increased demand and production issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, my problem with Luxury Pool and Spa is the repeated false representations both prior to and after the purchase of my spa. Prior to making the purchase, I had narrowed my search to either Bullfrog or Hotspring Spas. Timing of delivery was a key consideration, and I reached out to three area dealers: Envirosmarte, Morgantown, WV - Bullfrog X7 - Receiving September 2020 Blue Oasis, Winchester, VA - Hot Spring Flash - Estimated delivery in January 2021 Luxury Pool & Spa, Charlottesville, VA - Hot Spring Flash - Estimated delivery in September/October 2020 I preferred the features of the Hotspring, so I made the decision to go with Luxury Pool and Spa, despite the slightly later estimated delivery than Envirosmarte. And, I chose Luxury Pool & Spa over Blue Oasis because of the stated earlier delivery date, as Luxury Pool & Spa claimed to be a high volume dealer that could get models in sooner than others. After further conversations with both Watkins Wellness, the manufacturer, and Luxury Pool and Spa, I now know the following: * Watkins Wellness informed me that dealers were aware in July 2020 that there was a 30+ week order backlog for the model I ordered (Hotsprings Flash model). The delivery timeline provided to me by Luxury Pool & Spa appears to have been completely fabricated in order to get the sale. * On August 3, 2020, Luxury Pool & Spa sent me this email: "Your spa is on order. I'm still waiting on confirmation that it has gone into production so I can't give an exact date. We are still looking at the mid to late fall range." I later learned from Luxury Pool & Spa that my order had not even been placed with Watkins Wellness on August 3. * In an email response from Luxury Pool & Spa on August 24, I received the following: "Your spa is in production, we are still waiting on updates for shipping dates." I later learned that the spa was not in production and won't be until February/March 2021. * In phone conversations with Luxury Pool & Spa, the estimated delivery timeline has kept slipping, From September/October, then mid-to-late fall, then November or December, then December or January, and now March 2021. Luxury Pool & Spa blames the manufacturer for all of these changes. Yet, I have contacted the manufacturer to verify what Luxury Pool & Spa has communicated to me, and at each stage it appears Luxury Pool & Spa is knowingly providing false and misleading information to acquire my business. *Luxury Pool & Spa now claims the delays are my fault because the finishes I ordered take longer to get in, but Luxury Pool & Spa was aware of the finishes I selected when all of these delivery estimates were provided upfront in July, and I was never told when I placed the order that these selections would cause delays beyond the initial stated delivery date of September/October. Meanwhile, the other dealer offering the exact same model, Blue Oasis in Winchester, was transparent about the true delivery date of January 2021, which was accurate based on the manufacturer's production. On top of all of these delays, I have invested over $10,000 to build a new deck expansion and electrical for the new spa, so it's too late to cancel the project. The delays and pause in construction and finishing the deck are leading us to exceed the original planned budget as this is adding to the timeline to complete the project. Furthermore, all dealers are now facing significant backlogs, so I am left with no alternatives at this point, and little recourse except to raise awareness of the false claims and misleading sales tactics of Luxury Pool & Spa. I am deeply disappointed and regret doing business with Luxury Pool & Spa. Had I known in July what I know now, I would have purchased through Blue Oasis in Winchester, VA since they were honest upfront about the true expected delivery date of January 2021 which was based on production timelines provided by the manufacturer to all dealers.

There were communication breakdowns along the way but nothing we couldn't overcome. However, when we had a problem after the pool was installed and paid for they became very uncooperative. They tried to blame us and everything they could possibly think of for something that was not our fault or the fault of anyone or anything they tried to blame. We discovered the pool leaked within about a week of having it filled (it had rained several days after so it was hard to tell at first). They blamed us, even though they cleaned it and we hadn't been in it, tried to blame animals including racoons, deer and even woodpeckers! And then blamed termites and ants. After fighting with them and agreeing to pay for the research and repairs that were made in the meantime, they worked with the liner company to get a new liner and agreed to install it. They told us if they discovered that it wasn't insects they would repay us for the repairs. When they pulled it out they agreed it wasn't animals and wasn't insects. However, they said they had to send the liner to the manufacturer to figure out the cause. When we didn't hear from them for months, we called to ask what was going on. They again were very unprofessional with us and told us they wouldn't be paying us for anything. So in the end we had.... a pool that leaked for an entire year for no reason that anyone could figure out, the cost of water and chemicals to keep it running for the year, plus about $700 in bills for a diver to try to figure out the problem, plus the cost of water to re-fill the pool the following spring at about $500. They were very unprofessional and while we love our pool in the end, the journey was horrible. It could have and should have gone much smoother. I definitely couldn't recommend them to anyone.

After this "inspection" all they said was "yep, it's broken"! Wow! I could of told them that! They NEVER said what was wrong, how to fix it, where to get parts, etc.. I had to keep calling them, which they'd say they'd call back with information, but they NEVER have!!! All they wanted was to sell me a pool. When it became obvious I wanted parts to fix the pool we have and not buy a new one, it was the bill for $100 in mail and ZERO help or information!! STAY FAR AWAY from them!!

I had a great time in the store on Wednesday. Their customer service was outstanding. The two young ladies were very helpful with helping to suggest items I should purchase. I purchased many items on Wednesday for a large group trip I am sponsoring. After I purchased the items, I realized on Thursday that I no longer needed the six packs of Lance crackers, so I decided to return them on my way out on Friday. Of course, Ollie's was very busy because it was Black Friday. I stood in line because I had no choice. Once I got to the register, I was told that they are not doing returns because they were busy. I advised them that I am out of town and on my way out. The manager/supervisor Jeffery, reluctantly took me to another register to process the return. He reviewed the receipt and the six boxes of crackers which were $2.59 a box and confirmed that my refund would go back to my AMEX. Jeffery gave me the receipt and it was only $9 and change. I told him that I didn't think that was correct, and Jeffery abrasively pointed to the receipt and told me see look that is what it came out to. I told him that I was not saying you are wrong, but I calculated it differently in my head. Then Jeffery told me to have a blessed day. I was not feeling well, so I said, you too, and left out. I later reviewed the receipt and saw that he returned the 1st item on the receipt which was only $1 and change. I did not even get six of those items. I later called AMEX to put in a dispute. They took my information and instantly reimbursed my money. I like Ollie's but I will not return to this one.
