The office staff and Dr. Shimozaki are awesome. The check-in person is polite and friendly, as well as the person who schedules follow-up appointments. Dr. Shimozaki and his nurse are attentive, thoughtful, and capable. I like that Dr. Shimozaki takes the time to explain options and treatment plans. read more

Dr. DeGuzman is quite nice and professional. I take my mother to this business, Valley Podiatrist, I agree with all the negative reviews. The receptionist is rude and not friendly at all, even while answering simple questions they were rude. The young lady at the front desk also wanted to charge me for a mask and made sure she told me next time I won't be seen. I love the doctor however I will definitely find a new podiatrist. I don't have a problem with leaving that business and finding a new one as I intend to do. One star because the doctor is very good, but not good enough to take this type of treatment. read more

I have never been to a podiatrist and this place was where my insurance sent me. I have a toenail that is curving into my skin and is pretty painful. I also had some questions about the plantar fasciitis I get every few years. The medical assistant who brought me back seemed nice, we were talking about shoe recommendations for the plantar fasciitis. She said they recommended Hokas and I told her they are quite pricey to which she responded that she wears $400 Yeezys so the Hokas are cheap. Strike one. Dr. Stauffer comes in a few minutes later. He was preoccupied with a conversation he was having in the hallway, grabbed a pair of gloves and put them on, finished his conversation, turned around and took a look at my foot, took the gloves off and told me there is nothing he can do for me. He said I have the beginning of a fungus on my nail and that I should find an anti fungal topical on Amazon to take care of it. Strike two. The doctor leaves and the medical assistant comes back in to start cleaning the room and I asked her for a recommendation for the anti fungal treatment and she mentions they sell one in the office. I was shocked. The doctor had so little concern that he didn't even try to sell me a product they have in the office! Strike three. They are out and I will never return to this office or recommend them to anyone. And I almost feel like calling my insurance to report this because now I have a bill from them. read more

I was disappointed that the disk I took so much trouble to obtain for the Dr. was not even opened. When I made the appointment, I was told that Dr Schauffer "does not see patients unless they bring all their x-rays, reports etc. and they have to be on a disk." So I rushed to get the disk and dropped it of before the appointment. When the assistant was checking me at the appointment, I reminded her that I had left a disk with all my x-rays, reports etc. I assumed the Doctor would insist on seeing that. The Dr did not even mention it let alone refer to it. When I left, I asked for that, only to find that it had been put away somewhere and nobody had even looked at it. M. Ranchhod. read more

I was referred to this place from my doctor and it seemed highly recommended with lots of great reviews. But something I've learned in my lifetime is that doesn't mean anything for everybody Basically the minute I walked in the door when they opened II had a dramatic receptionist who had a meltdown because I asked her for a mask as I did not have one. She continued to babble on asking me if I had one in my car and did not believe me when I said no. She continued on with her rude unprofessional dramatics saying that she was going to have to start canceling appointments and sending people home if they don't provide their own mask. The patient behind me said that she did not know anyone told her on the phone either that they had to have a mask. Everyone is so divided on this but it is a choice and the government doesn't require it. In spite of opinions on this her behavior was completely unacceptable and I should have walked out the door when when she lost control of her emotions. After she was done venting her crap on me she reached over and picked up a mask and handed it to me. I thought wow that was so difficult you just had to unload on me your 1st patient of the day and you turned me off with your behavior. So then I go in the back the staff is friendly and nice take x-rays of my foot. Doctor comes in he sings nice and professional enough but that doesn't last. He turned out to be quite the egotistical narcissistic man who seemed to think he was God's gift to medicine. I explained to him in detail the pain I had been experiencing for the last year and a 1/2. I explained how I tried multiple different shoes and inserts, in fact the same inserts that his office supports. I explained how I did physical therapy last year for months and that I was actually off my foot on a scooter for 2 months. After telling him all of this it was like he didn't hear anything I said. He pressed on different parts of my foot asked when I felt pain and when I said I didn't he dug his thumb right into my Arch and cause me extreme pain which I felt was highly unnecessary. I explained I was looking for surgery options because nothing else had worked. I'm sure there are many people out there that have dealt with pain for a year and a 1/2 and maybe longer and it's just frustrating when a doctor doesn't listen to you. Basically in the end he threw some paperwork in my hand and told me to do stretches for 4 weeks and come back and see him. During our visit he also made sure to let me know how lucky I was to have young doctors because they knew all the latest techniques and perceit is techniques and procedures. I felt so lucky to have someone hand me a piece of paper that my physical therapist already handed me last year. Basically nothing happened and he thought he was being funny saying that he would know if I didn't do my stretching for my foot when I came back. I tried to explain to him that stretching didn't work before I did it for months and the pain still came back. I explained how I'm walking crooked and my foot and me are getting worse but he wasn't listening and just left the room. I know I am the minority as far as reviews but maybe this will help somebody be prepared for what might happen when they go into this office. Appointment was easy. New patient paperwork was easy. Appointment was started on time. Tech doing the new patient interview was not very experienced at it, but we got through it. Doctor knew what he was talking about once he understood my issue. I will be a regular patient here. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Deguzman for months, and I highly recommend him and his staff/office. He really cares about his patients, and made me feel reassured and not so down about the whole thing. I had a super bad infection on the side of my foot that looked horrible when I came in to see him at his other office (wound center). I was close to just getting part of my foot amputated! But with his and his excellent staff, he helped save my foot. Months of healing and great care, and I'm so happy and grateful to him for helping save my foot. The staff at Valley Podiatry Group are super nice, and I look forward to working with them to keep my feet from getting anywhere close to where my infection was months ago! I'm confident in Dr. Deguzman's abilities to help with that. As far as how the office looks, I love the fountains out front and the insides of the office is clean and organized. I am definitely going to recommend this office to people around me if they are looking for a podiatry office. The people who answer the phone seem to have a problem. In particular Emme and Sara. They seem rushed, and aggressive. They speak at us, verses with us. I say this because upon asking routine questions, they get flustered. From two different people, on the same call ( I was transferred a lot), I was told they were doing me a favor. Within the first 60 seconds of speaking to Emme, she raised her voice and threatened to "tell" on me to the doctor, because I asked questions, instead of blindly answering her questions. Emme sounded very angry, and she was definitely taking it out on me, but I cannot imagine my call, to verify tomorrow's appointment, was the issue. I just don't want to be yelled at, or participate in the anxiety party. There is no need for customer service to be so miserable. read more

Dr. Stauffer (DPM) was very helpful and thorough during my visit. He took his time to ask questions and double check the xrays when I had other concerns. He made me feel comfortable while I was there and confident I my toe, foot, and lower leg would be back to normal in a couple weeks. He even noticed my very high foot arch and was able to get me some shoe inserts for extra support since I'm on my foot so much!! I'm so glad I went in! Grace, a team member, was also very helpful! She was able to get me in to see Dr. Stauffer very quickly. She really cared about my injury without evening knowing me and I thought that was so kind! I'm just so impressed with this doctor. He gets in there and takes care of it. had an ulcer on my foot 4-5 months. Was going to another doctor and it wasn't getting better. Now I see great improvement and have hope that I'm not going to lose my foot. he takes my worries seriously and explains the ins and outs of how to get better. I dont trust medical personal as a general rule however the staff at Valley Podiatry are always truthful and make sure I get the full picture. I won't go anywhere else. Dr. Jonathan and his staff were honestly some of the kindest, professional and most comforting people I have ever met. Since my first appt. with them I felt comfortable and in good hands. They took care of me very well. The office is very nice as well, small but rooms are clean. The staff and Doctor made my procedure 100% easier than what I was expecting and they gave me their attention just as I would expect from a Podiatrist (or any doctor). Dr. DeGuzman is one of the kindest nicest doctors I have ever met. He saved my foot and helped me get my health back. In 2017 I ended up in the hospital and was really sick from a infection in my foot. He visited me after he was done with a late night surgery and still took the time to explain things to me and even more time later with my family who had a lot of questions. He explained all of my options and took the time to answer all of my questions. He has so much patience and genuinely cared about getting me back on my feet. He also has a sense of humor which helped me feel comfortable about my crappy situation. He saw me weekly and some time several times a week to make sure things were headed in the right direction. My foot finally healed after several months of wound care, and during the process I took better control diabetes. I was lucky to have him as my doctor. Every few months I check in with him and he has such a good memory about my kids and what we spoke about from the previous visit. I think he's a special kind of doctor and recommend him to all my family and friends. read more
