Updated review: I wound up having to go here for the remainder of my twin pregnancy because it's the only place my insurance covered. There's a young brunette sonographer who was SO sweet! My boyfriend and I loved her. She raved about how cute our boys were, was able to get a profile of our stubborn guy, and even got us some 3D images. The next time we went, we had an older sonographer and she was in and out within 10 minutes, which is great for some people, but we had an hour long appointment booked and hoped that she would try and get some more photos of our babies instead of just getting in and getting out. The ladies in the front were somewhat helpful but would be sitting around having personal conversations with each other while we were waiting in the lobby for a few minutes before calling us up to pay or fill out papers. Original review: The WORST customer service. Was on hold for the "billing department" for close to 40 minutes. When I finally hung up and called back, I was told the billing department left and that the best they could do was send an email. If you see someone on hold, you just leave them there? Absolutely ridiculous!! The receptionist also told me at the beginning of our conversation that she never got a referral from my OB, then says about 5 minutes later that she did. So which story is right? Do not recommend going here if you need your services done quickly. If you like your time wasted, I highly recommend this place read more

I wish I could give this practice less than one star. Seriously fed up with their lack of patient care, I've had such crap care from this place. Roberta the ultrasound tech and Dr. Elliot are the ONLY people I recommend from this office. I have posted a status on Facebook expressing my concerns and 99.9% of the people just from my friends list that commented has similar issues to me. Ill be attaching pictures below. read more

Very disappointed that you chose to hold my test results so I had to wait all weekend with no answers. To the nurse/ma who promised to call even if it wasn't with the results but for a status update...don't make promises you cannot keep. To the provider that was in to big of a hurry to read the test result so staff could pass on the info...way to stress out a pregnant lady. For a team that works "primarily with high risk" patients (per your response to a prior review) you would think staff would be compassionate. 3/4 update-Heather was very quick to respond and her and Tiffany made the situation right which is appreciated! read more

I was very impressed with Dr. Patel and his care for my unborn baby! He saved his life!! He gets 5 stars hands down! The NP I saw one time had no clue I was bleeding and basically told me I had to take a blood thinner. I restated I was there for bleeding and then she seemed to back-pedal, immediately left to got a second opinion and I was told not to take a blood thinner. 1 star there. The main reason for 3 stars: I feel like I got overcharged, a lot. Bills were put off until months later at which point going through them is a complete headache especially with a newborn! I just received one HUGE bill! I had to keep calling to get clarification and then having to go through with my insurance line by line finding discrepancies was infuriating! I also felt like they were doing ultrasounds that we're not necessary, as I was surprised that I was being charged a LOT for the "fun little abdominal ultrasounds to see my baby" at each visit ON TOP of the transvaginal US. Had I known they were going to be charging me so much for those I would have said "no" to the "fun" USs! I was seeing my OB at the same time and they knew that! For instance, my hospital surgery was HALF the cost of many of my in office visits. Hundreds and hundreds of dollars out of pocket in the end, way too much in my opinion. They nickle & dime your insurance and then you also in the process!! No happy. Not happy I have to deal with this just after I gave birth either. read more

I've gone here for ultrasounds only, for several during my last pregnancy and for my current pregnancy. The techs are always so informative and caring, the experience is always good. They are excited to do the ultrasound and so good at what they do. They always make me feel comfortable, which was not the case with the ultrasound techs at my OB's office, so it's so nice to know they will always be kind, patient and caring. Highly recommend. BTW I recently found out you can do your regular, routine ultrasounds here without needing a referral, so anyone can schedule here! read more

I was referred to Valley Perinatal because the perinatal office I was seeing was closing their business. I absolutely hate this place. Every time I have to engage in any conversation with them I end up frustrated, angry, and in tears. The front desk staff is not friendly and the waiting room is not the cleanest. My first appointment was almost 3 hours long for an ultrasound and a consultation with the MFM. My second appointment with their diabetes management person Bernadette was a waste of time because she gave me information I was already aware of and had she read my file she would have known I was previously seeing another perinatal office previously for the same thing. She told me my resting glucose level needed to be 90 or below but couldn't tell me why their standard was different than national diabetes standard. Her response was that is just how their office does it. When I told them I didn't want to do any other ultrasounds there they argued with me and became very pushy and insistent that I was required to do them there and when I continued to refuse the answer I received was "fine just take it up with your OB since they were the ones who sent you to us". Then they wanted me to come back every week for a consultation on my glucose logs. This office is 45 minutes from my house and to ask me to drive to them just to have a conversation about what changes to my diet I should make tells me they are only about getting money from my insurance and not about patient care. These conversations can easily be done via phone or email. My next appointment was with Ronda who was finally able tell me why their fasting glucose was 90 or below. She was great. She told me she sent my prescription to the pharmacy but the pharmacy claimed they didn't get it so I called Valley Perinatal and spent 3 hours waiting for someone to pick up the phone but no one ever did. I also sent a message to them but no one ever replied. I had to request the pharmacy to call them for my prescription. I finally received my prescription but never heard from Valley Perinatal. I have an upcoming appointment with them and the thought of going into this office gives me absolute anxiety. I would never recommend this place to anyone but unfortunately it is the only perinatal place left near me. I really hope they can turn things around. read more

I love it here! It's our first pregnancy, everyone in the office makes you comfortable and they are all super nice! We had a problem with our original OB and i had no idea how to switch everything over for the new OB and they walked me through it and answered all my questions. The ultra sound ladies are amazing, they have so much knowledge and talk you through what they are looking at and what's going on. Doctor Bowen is also very knowledgeable and takes his time when you have an appointment with him, you never leave with any questions because he makes sure to answer all of them. Esther is by far my most favorite diabetic educator I've ever seen, she listens, and actually cares about how you're doing. You're not just a patient to any of these people, you're an actual human going through a high risk pregnancy. Thank you valley Perinatal for making this pregnancy a little easier for us! read more

They did not send me the pictures of my ultrasound that I requested via text. It has been 3 days and I haven't received anything. I have to wait until tomorrow to call them about it. I went through ivf and having my ultrasound pics are very important to me. Furthermore, it is very difficult to get a hold of them when you call. I am on the phone for 15 minutes or more trying to speak to someone. read more

I was referred here by my OB office for an ultrasound. They called me once they received the referral and offered me a same day appointment as well as several other options. They were friendly and helpful in the phone. They explained how to get there very well, which is hard to get offices to do. Once I got to the office, I did have a long wait time but they kept me updated and let me know what I was waiting for. The ultrasound tech was very sweet. They also gave me bonus 4d ultrasound pics of my baby, which was awesome! Dr. Bowman (?) was very good at explaining things and making sure I understood everything. He was very nice. There's no point in scheduling an appointment to be seen, they have no sense of urgency and don't actually pay attention to appointments. I came to be seen and checked in 20 min early for my appointment, by 20 min after my scheduled time I asked what the issue was and the lady didn't have any explanation for the delay and couldn't give me an estimate for when I would be seen. read more

I have become a regular here since the moment I found out I was expecting. Due to some small complications. This whole entire office is amazing. From the front reception staff to the doctor. Always ready for me, always on time and always super kind. Things have been kind of scary but the staff and doctor each time put my fears and I at ease. The nurses. If only I could give this office 0 stars, I would. Dr. Stephanie Martin was the most unprofessional doctor I have ever met. I was referred to her office and to be treated with no respect was shocking. She did not get up from her desk to greet me or shake my hand. She told me that everything was my fault for being overweight this pregnancy (I've only gained 6lbs at 30 weeks). She did not offer any solutions but rather I would need medicine since she has seen many cases like mine. Personally, she needs to relearn how to be personable with patients. I will not be returning to the office and I highly suggest no one makes an appointment with her either unless you want a doctor to not support you or your baby. I also tried to call the office to talk to a manager about my experience and I never received a phone call back. Other than Dr.Martin, the ultrasound tech Rob was PHENOMENAL and the front desk lady was friendly as well. I've since switch to MFM of Arizona and absolutely love it! They are the complete package and I feel such support and no judgment from everyone in the office. read more

I would give negative five stars if I could. This place seems to just try and play off of emotions. I was offered various tests including one that I was told was free. Little did I know I was notified two weeks later through the mail with a bill. Then when I tried to get clarification since this test was supposed to be free it took another two weeks to speak with someone. Then I was told it was a misunderstanding and I needed to meet my deductible first but it was the first week of the year so who meets their deductible the first week of the new year it was obviously a scam for me to do the test. Needless to say they tried to hypothesize my baby having a potential issue with no facts but just speculation just to get money and play off of emotions. Once I spoke with my OBG he even stated the tests were unnecessary. So if you want to be stressed and get ripped off head to this place. read more

We went to have an ultrasound and consult with a DR. Our OB set up the referral. I'm a AMA and we were expecting twins. We arrive early and have to wait for our ultrasound. We go in for our Ultra sound, Baby A looks great. Tech tells us that Baby B has a cystic hygroma and that usually means chromosomal abnormalities. She gives no more info and send us to the waiting room for Dr. I get called back to take "vitals". Go back to waiting room. After about an hour we get called back to the dr. He introduces himself and starts with "Let's talk about the problem". He refuses to talk about anything else relating to the pregnancy. Gives us all the scary stuff that the cystic hygroma could mean. I ask about the size difference between A & B (A=12 weeks, B 11+5). He says it's just the calibration of the US machine. If it could be that wrong, how could it be correct in measuring the NT and the cystic hygroma. This was a Thursday, 3 days later we lost Baby B. I truly believe the Dr Elliot knew that Baby B was way worse than he let on. I believe he played on our emotions to get us to do expensive blood work. Speaking of blood work, the phlebotomist was the worst experience I've ever had. After getting devastating, incomplete news about our baby, I am ushered into a tiny room to get blood drawn. Sobbing, I climb into the chair, and give her my arm. The room is so small that my husband had to stand in the hallway. I request a butterfly needle as I know my veins are difficult, she says she'll be able to do it with a regular needle. But after looking at my arms, changes her mind. She couldn't get any blood out of my arm and resticks me, she continues to fail. After sticking me 5 TIMES, she finally gets enough. She had to go to both arms, then to my hands. Meanwhile I am sobbing in anguish from the news we just got and the pain she is putting me through. Worst experience, I told the OB to never refer anyone else to them. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I went in for an NT scan on monday and the office was so hot!! Seemed like the ac wasnt on. My scan was fine the lady was nice. The billing department and office is ridiculous. They made me pay $40 for a copay when I shouldnt of paid anything at all my insurance deductible was met 100% the lady on the phone told me they cant refund my money for 90 days and I have to request it they dont just send it. I advise people to really watch them and dont pay when you know your insurance is met! Who knows how many peoples money they have and havent refunded! You better believe I will NEVER use valley parinatal again and I WILL be getting my money back. I will not recommended valley parinatal ever! Why would I send someone to sit in the hot building and wait an hour to be seen. They say come in 30 mins prior to appt. Yet they are so behind they dont see you for an hour.
