It's a beautiful store but they are SO overpriced. I don't mind paying a little more for being in a nice area but not that much!

I stopped by this liquor store tonight after driving an extended period of time specifically to shop there, only to find that they had already locked the doors 10 minutes before their posted closing time. When I asked the employee why they were closed early, instead of offering an explanation or apologizing, they mocked me by mimicking what I said and repeatedly told me they were closed. Closing early is frustrating enough, but being treated disrespectfully as a customer is unacceptable. If your posted hours say you're open until a certain time, customers should be able to rely on that. After making the trip specifically to this store, this experience was especially disappointing. I won't be returning and hope management addresses both the early closures and the poor customer service. read more

I was so excited to find that there was a liquor store/market close to where I live in my new apartment! There aren't many other stores within a close distance in this area. However, they are price gouging people for that reason. They know there's no other stores in the area so they are charging the most they can possibly charge.. a bottle of average Chardonnay that I could get for $12-$14 at the supermarket they are charging $24. TEN dollars more! I even said "you guys charge way too much" to the owner and he didn't even respond to me. He couldn't care less. Everything is sky high there. And the owner is not friendly. If you can get to another store, go there. read more

I'm only posting this review because this is the second time this has happened in a very short period. I don't usually jump to leave negative reviews--if you check my account, I haven't posted one in a long time--but this needs to be addressed. I've now ordered from this business twice through DoorDash, paying a premium for convenience. Both times, the order was handled poorly. In my most recent order, I wasn't given the option to substitute items. I specifically ordered from them because they had the tequila I wanted and a particular brand of beer. Instead, they sent me a different beer I don't like, without asking for a substitution or contacting me. To make matters worse, my Dasher waited while they finished the order--only for it to be incorrect. I tried calling the business, but no one answered. Now I'm stuck with beer I won't drink and will likely have to give away. If you're in the downtown area, I'd recommend ordering from somewhere else. This feels like a bait-and-switch, and it's frustrating to deal with more than once. read more

Walking distance from where I was staying which was VERY convenient so giving them props for choosing a good location, considering they have a lot of hotels around them. The employees are nice and will answer questions. Yay! I was able to find the liquor I wanted to make my drinks. Honestly, I am terrible at knowing if something is overpriced or reasonably priced since I do not buy liquor enough, but considering where it was and considering how much I am saving by making the drinks then buying them, I say it was worth whatever price I paid. They have souvenirs and random items in the store. It was fun to look at the different items. ........ .... .. ... read more

Yes, as mentioned in previous reviews, completely overpriced. But, conveniently located. Plus they do have a lot of convenience store items besides the liquor and beer. read more

The guy at the register was very rude and disrespectful. I came for only two water bottles and some chips and he threw the chips at the counter aggressively after scanning the items. He made very sarcastic comments and when he was grabbing a plastic bag to bag my items I kindly said "We don't need a bag, thank you" to what he replied "Okay then, fuck you". I didn't even bother to ask for a receipt because I was shocked. He was so hostile and disrespectful. The location is convenient if you're staying in the hotel circle area but I will never come back. His behavior was hostile from the very start, when my husband and I approached the register I said "Hi" and he just glared at me. read more

This establishment has very helpful and kind staff. They also have good prices on alcohol as well as a big selection. They also have good deals on souvenirs and a really good selection of items that are fun and unique. read more

Nice that there is at least something near all the hotels but it's priced as such too. Expect to pay 2x's - 3x's what you would pay at a grocery store for liquor. Lots of options to choose from and recommended in a pinch or for getting your steps in. Otherwise even using DoorDash or Uber would be cheaper. read more

First, I need to question those people who knock this place down in ratings because it is "too expensive." You know the prices, they are clearly listed and if you do not like them, go elsewhere. But your frugality isn't a store's issue. So having said that, yes the prices here are higher than other places - so be it. I like this place because it is central to where I stay when I travel and this is more like a mini-mart than a liquor store. They have lots of beer, fine liquors and those sweet drinks I can't stand, but also have deli items from the restaurant next door, varied items for home and travelers, they have fresh dairy products and tons of snacks of all kinds, from protein bars to big bags of chips. The have t-shirts and trinkets and even post cards for the real tourist (like me!). I appreciate all this in one place, and if I have a choice of paying them a bit more or driving miles to a shopping center or supermarket, well I will stay local and appreciate not having to drive more than I already need to drive. The place itself is well laid out, spacious, well organized and very clean. The display behind the counter is impressive with all the colorful bottle s of various shapes and sizes catching the daylight from outside. And in three visits here this week, I have come across two gentlemen who are polite and patient when I want to cuss out the person in front of me fumbling with their change. Very good people skills on their, and one gentleman always says "I appreciate you" to the customers! I never hear that back home . . . So if you want cheap(er) booze (they have the quality stuff, don't forget!) go elsewhere. Otherwise, enjoy being appreciated for a change. read more

HORRIBLE don't go here! Prices are ridiculous. Waste of money and the manager was a horrible rude person. I wound giving all the food back and for my money. I will never go here again! read more

By far the most expensive liquor store in sandiego. Even in some downtown or La Jolla stores, the prices aren't as bad as this place.

Pretty standard liquor store. Seemed the one cashier was more interested in watching us wonder around the store, looking at different items than his boss and other co-worker's conversation. I have never felt violated just purchasing milk. He didn't even greet us as we walked in the door, let alone when we approached the counter to pay for our purchases. It was a nice little place with several types of alcohol to choose from. read more

You are paying for the convenience here. Most of their products are overpriced. Many by a significant margin. That being said, they do like to keep the store stocked and clean. read more

I was staying at a hotel within waking distance. I was going to pick up a few food items, but they didn't accept EBT. Plus they didn't even have a simple condiment, like Parmesan cheese. And they didn't sell lottery tickers (like most all liquor stores do). I quick-scanned some prices with my eyes and everything was too much. I won't go back. read more

Outrageous prices, not friendly associates. Decent selection with good variety. Reminded myself yesterday why I don't go here even though I live around the corner read more

So I check out this place even though I read the reviews. Maybe they had bad experience. Well to be frank they were not lying . This place is over price. The beer I usual get cost me 2.25 the highest . But they were selling it for double the price . Seriously, the beer not even worth the high of a price . So I decide if I'm gonna pay 5 for a tall can it better be a good one . So I choice Hazy Big Ballard Imperial IPA paid leas here lol suckers read more

A liquor store has been here forever.  Since it is in the middle of many hotels, it is geared to the tourist clientele.   They have wine, liquor, soda, and power drinks.  Some of the power drinks I have not seen before. Their is a little coffee kiosk on the middle with several different types of coffee.  They have plenty of snacks available for road trips or just to snack while watching a movie back in the hotel.  Forget a trinket for a friend or need a t-shirt,  they also have them here.  Friendly service and plenty of parking.  Also paying for convenience. read more

This liquor store is price gouging and that know they can get away with it because they are in a tourist area. 27 dollars for a bottle of la maraca Prosecco when it's usually max 19.99 is ridiculous! I know you wanna make a buck and raise the price a buck or 2 but $7 is just being greedy! There are plenty of other liquor stores up the road 2 maybe 3 min away for way cheeper. This owner is clearly a greedy person, especially when everything is so inflated and he doesn't need to be. read more

This little place is like a one stop shop for touristy souvenirs and other stuff like foods, drinks and snacks. If you have ever been to an ABC Store this made me feel like I had walked into an ABC Store! It is conveniently located in Hotel Circle for anyone staying in that area. And there is parking outside for a quick run in and grab some items. The service is super friendly and the prices are fair. Not a complete rip off. read more

A gypsy loves her local convenience store where she can get all updates on community gossip and current Style. The Travelmart has everything one would need, nonetheless it is my daily stop for coffee and Shop talk. The staff has always been very courteous to me. I've enjoyed a great conversation and a pleasant smile on every visit. I can understand how the staff can get a bad Yelp review because they're often very busy and sometimes human nature is human nature. However, I have nothing bad to say about the staff at Travelmart. The staff at Travelmart have always treated me like an extended family! REASONS TO VISIT: 1. A very large liquor selection 2. Parking 3. Pleasant staff 4. Clean location 5. Fancy lighting fixtures 6. This convenience store attached to Crust (the pizza shop) is a great go-to spot for booze and snacks if you're staying in Hotel Circle. Obviously because of their location and appeal to tourists, you should expect slightly higher than average prices, but they don't gouge you too much. Plus, it's way closer than driving to Old Town or to the Ralph's in Mission Valley. They have everything you need in terms of booze, liquor in all sizes, except the Costco-size gallon handles. But hey have a great selection of whiskey and scotch. They also have decent prices on craft beer and the usual suspects (i.e. Bud light and Coors). If you want a quick last-minute souvenir this place also has you covered. They have hats and t-shirts, sweaters, keychains, whatever. You can take a chance and wait until you get to the airport before you buy your gifts, but you'll pay way more and hey won't have as good of a selection. read more

I called and asked what they were located next door and a rude man asked me why. I responded, well since you're a business probably so I can come buy things and give you money. He asked he several more times why I wanted to know where they were located. I ended up just hanging up. UPDATE: I was contacted by the owner who has made great strides to rectify this issue. It really shows he takes his business seriously. I'm happy to see that! read more

Found this on my recent trip and it's brand new for needs and spirits. They have souvenirs for a quick grab like tees, postcards, shot glasses, magnets cups mugs etc. They have a good variety of toiletries and OTC meds. I liked that you could just grab a quick snack or emergency food and heat it up. They have a coffee cappuccino machine and flavored creamer. Also I brought in a 7-Eleven Super Big Gulp cup to fill on their soda machine and I asked up front how much it would cost, ( all they had we're small cups), Cashier said $1.99 I said cool, filled cup and then cashier charged $2.25!
