I was so excited to find that there was a liquor store/market close to where I live in my new apartment! There aren't many other stores within a close distance in this area. However, they are price gouging people for that reason. They know there's no other stores in the area so they are charging the most they can possibly charge.. a bottle of average Chardonnay that I could get for $12-$14 at the supermarket they are charging $24. TEN dollars more! I even said "you guys charge way too much" to the owner and he didn't even respond to me. He couldn't care less. Everything is sky high there. And the owner is not friendly. I'm only posting this review because this is the second time this has happened in a very short period. I don't usually jump to leave negative reviews--if you check my account, I haven't posted one in a long time--but this needs to be addressed. I've now ordered from this business twice through DoorDash, paying a premium for convenience. Both times, the order was handled poorly. In my most recent order, I wasn't given the option to substitute items. I specifically ordered from them because they had the tequila I wanted and a particular brand of beer. Instead, they sent me a different beer I don't like, without asking for a substitution or contacting me. To make matters worse, my Dasher waited while they finished the order--only for it to be incorrect. I tried calling the business, but no one answered. Now I'm stuck with beer I won't drink and will likely have to give away. If you're in the downtown area, I'd recommend ordering from somewhere else. Walking distance from where I was staying which was VERY convenient so giving them props for choosing a good location, considering they have a lot of hotels around them. The employees are nice and will answer questions. Yay! I was able to find the liquor I wanted to make my drinks. Honestly, I am terrible at knowing if something is overpriced or reasonably priced since I do not buy liquor enough, but considering where it was and considering how much I am saving by making the drinks then buying them, I say it was worth whatever price I paid. The guy at the register was very rude and disrespectful. I came for only two water bottles and some chips and he threw the chips at the counter aggressively after scanning the items. He made very sarcastic comments and when he was grabbing a plastic bag to bag my items I kindly said "We don't need a bag, thank you" to what he replied "Okay then, fuck you". I didn't even bother to ask for a receipt because I was shocked. He was so hostile and disrespectful. The location is convenient if you're staying in the hotel circle area but I will never come back. Nice that there is at least something near all the hotels but it's priced as such too. Expect to pay 2x's - 3x's what you would pay at a grocery store for liquor. First, I need to question those people who knock this place down in ratings because it is "too expensive." You know the prices, they are clearly listed and if you do not like them, go elsewhere. But your frugality isn't a store's issue. So having said that, yes the prices here are higher than other places - so be it. I like this place because it is central to where I stay when I travel and this is more like a mini-mart than a liquor store. They have lots of beer, fine liquors and those sweet drinks I can't stand, but also have deli items from the restaurant next door, varied items for home and travelers, they have fresh dairy products and tons of snacks of all kinds, from protein bars to big bags of chips. The have t-shirts and trinkets and even post cards for the real tourist (like me!). I appreciate all this in one place, and if I have a choice of paying them a bit more or driving miles to a shopping center or supermarket, well I will stay local and appreciate not having to drive more than I already need to drive. The place itself is well laid out, spacious, well organized and very clean. The display behind the counter is impressive with all the colorful bottle s of various shapes and sizes catching the daylight from outside. And in three visits here this week, I have come across two gentlemen who are polite and patient when I want to cuss out the person in front of me fumbling with their change. Very good people skills on their, and one gentleman always says "I appreciate you" to the customers! I never hear that back home . . . So if you want cheap(er) booze (they have the quality stuff, don't forget!) go elsewhere. Otherwise, enjoy being appreciated for a change. read more

Pretty standard liquor store. Seemed the one cashier was more interested in watching us wonder around the store, looking at different items than his boss and other co-worker's conversation. I have never felt violated just purchasing milk. He didn't even greet us as we walked in the door, let alone when we approached the counter to pay for our purchases. A liquor store has been here forever.  Since it is in the middle of many hotels, it is geared to the tourist clientele.   They have wine, liquor, soda, and power drinks.  Some of the power drinks I have not seen before. Their is a little coffee kiosk on the middle with several different types of coffee.  They have plenty of snacks available for road trips or just to snack while watching a movie back in the hotel.  Forget a trinket for a friend or need a t-shirt,  they also have them here.  Friendly service and plenty of parking.  Also paying for convenience. read more

If you have ever been to an ABC Store this made me feel like I had walked into an ABC Store! It is conveniently located in Hotel Circle for anyone staying in that area. The Travelmart has everything one would need, nonetheless it is my daily stop for coffee and Shop talk. The staff has always been very courteous to me. This convenience store attached to Crust (the pizza shop) is a great go-to spot for booze and snacks if you're staying in Hotel Circle. Obviously because of their location and appeal to tourists, you should expect slightly higher than average prices, but they don't gouge you too much. Plus, it's way closer than driving to Old Town or to the Ralph's in Mission Valley. They have everything you need in terms of booze, liquor in all sizes, except the Costco-size gallon handles. But hey have a great selection of whiskey and scotch. They also have decent prices on craft beer and the usual suspects (i.e. Bud light and Coors). If you want a quick last-minute souvenir this place also has you covered. They have hats and t-shirts, sweaters, keychains, whatever. You can take a chance and wait until you get to the airport before you buy your gifts, but you'll pay way more and hey won't have as good of a selection. read more

Found this on my recent trip and it's brand new for needs and spirits. They have souvenirs for a quick grab like tees, postcards,shot glasses,magnets cups mugs etc. They have a good variety of toiletries and OTC meds. I liked that you could just grab a quick snack or emergency food and heat it up. They have a coffee cappuccino machine and flavored creamer. Waaaaaayyyyy Overpriced! A half gallon of milk is $3.99! Talk about price gouging! And when I opened the milk 2 hours later it was Rotten! The exp date was January 15th and it was January 09 when I got it. Also I brought in a 7-Eleven Super Big Gulp cup to fill on their soda machine and I asked up front how much it would cost, ( all they had we're small cups), Cashier said $1.99 I said cool, filled cup and then cashier charged $2.25!
