While I priced the big box stores as well, I also stopped in to see the folks at Floored. They were quick to help, and had an estimator on-site the next business day. Carpet was in stock and ready to go, and while the guys they sent out could have been on time, the whole install happened seamlessly. (unintended play on words - get it? Carpet? Seam? Nevermind). The one point I had a little issue with was some subfloor repair that I was told needed to be done. I have little doubt it needed to be done, but when I couldn't get out to see it for myself, perhaps some photos sent from the job site would have been a good service touch. Will continue to recommend.

After careful planning, lots of considerations, and several quotes, my wife and I finally found the…read moreideal fence builder, A Walker Fence Company, for our backyard. We'd been wanting to remove our chain-link fence and replace it with a wood privacy one for a couple of years, but we wanted to make sure we carefully thought this through. We primarily wanted a privacy fence for the obvious privacy factor and the appealing aesthetics of one. It is important to state that there can be many issues with warping and the falling apart of a fence when you get prebuilt sections from a big-box hardware store. Not to mention delays in service if you get one of their subcontractors to install it. Not everyone will have these issues, but I know too many people that have dealt with such problems. For all these reasons, we were thrilled to select a quality and locally owned business, A Walker Fence Company, for our project. For starters, the owner, James Walker, came out and did the initial assessment and quote for us. James was thorough, knowledgeable, and genuine through the whole process. He showed us samples of what he uses for the materials and pictures of his work. His quote was a fair price, especially since he builds the whole fence himself instead of using prebuilt sections. Additionally, he was the one primarily building the fence during the whole construction process. It took him just under a week to finish it, and he worked the whole week through without taking a day off. His work ethic alone speaks volumes. The final product was exactly what we were looking for and is built to last. If you're looking to have a custom-built dream fence, give James from A Walker Fence Company a call.
