Thomas was helpful with putting into words what we wanted and even coming out a second time to ensure we were all on the same page. We will 100% be using them again in the future!

Does not understand the meaning of the word "NO!" Will keep insisting on doing other things you did not ask for or said no to and will not do them and charge u for them anyway. Or he'll say you said no after he did it already even when you first showed him what you needed to be done. If he doesnot complete the job, he'll say he ran out of gardening materials when you have proof that you bought plenty materials for the job u wanted done. He will change his story when confronted with the truth, how many times he didn't show up, was late or just showed up without an appointment (which is trespassing)or blame his mistakes on someone who wasn't even there! He will equate the estimate with an invoice and your questions and comments limiting the scope of work as an "electronic" authorization if you put your initials next to items with question marks or changes on an undated estimate with no signature, no company contact information! He will wear headphones and play loud music so he can say he didn't hear you. He will represent himself, bring in an unidentified person to take notes and help him and a fake partially identified witness who all commit perjury multiple times and the judge acts as his lead counsellor, who allows him to interrupt direct examination and contradict testimony and the judge will deny sworn testimony of his fake witness who takes the blame off Thompson by saying he sprayed a weedkiller product (which he omits the chemical name which was glyphosate plus and did not state it was safe for use near new sod, shrubs, plants or trees on the label) on the 20,000 S.F. of new grass sod which damaged nearly $20,000 worth of new expensive grass sod, shrubs, flowers, and trees! The judge abusively yelled at and pointed his finger at the homeowner who was deprived, lied to, taken advantage of, and prevented from presenting her valid timely filed property damage counterclaim! He will blindside you with a last minute unserved incorrectly formatted motion for summary and laugh his way to the bank! And he calls himself a "Christian?"

I wasn't going to leave this review but I sent an email to Mary at Roanoke Landscapes with feedback…read moreand received no response. With all these things sent to management I would have expected some type of reply. I didn't ask them for anything but a reply I feel is warranted and just good service. This project was curb stone around the entire house including driveway. One foot wide beds at the driveway with large planting area in front, 3 foot wide beds on the sides of the home and the back of the home. The 3 feet was set by Roanoke Landscapes to accommodate the plants I was planting. Marble chip would fill in the all the way around at 3 inches deep. This was sold as a permanent installation. 1. The day of installation I was informed a mistake was made and I was asked to pay an additional $1200.00. I saw the mistake for what it was and paid it. They agreed to cover the extra labor cost. But, very poor on their part to even allow this to happen and hit the customer when they show up on day one. 2. The weed barrier didn't completely cover the base of the beds which has resulted in immediate weed growth. There are large gaps. I've been fighting this with weed killer however if you don't cover the entire base with the weed barrier it's defeating the purpose. 3. On day 2 the installation crew was cut in half which I attribute to them covering the additional labor cost and the two that showed up were not there the previous day and had no idea of all the planning that took place the day prior, I spoke with them and they had no idea. 4. The day 2 crew caused property damage by pulling into the yard and sinking to the axle on one side. I mentioned bringing in dirt to allow for settling but instead they just raked dirt over and put a scrap piece of straw blanket. Within a short amount of time this started to settle and I was forced to fix it. I'm partly to blame on their repairs because I just said alright because I wanted it over with. In hindsight I should have insisted on a better repair but I shouldn't have to do that. 5. The 3 foot wide rock beds were not 3 feet wide as contracted because the day 2 crew appeared to trench the curb stone on the inside of the 3 foot mark and not the outside as agreed to on day one. This impacts plants over growing the beds. 6. The marble chips were to be 3 inches deep give or take all the way around yet I have weed barrier showing through in many places. I've had to move and shift rock to address this as I see it. 7. The curb stone was sold as a permanent installation yet I've had to fix fallen over curb stones. The appearance of the work as far as curb appeal is good and that's why I give it 2 stars but customers should get what they pay for. This job was over $8000.00 after the extra $1200.00. I might be wrong but I attribute these issues to the mistake made with the cost. I feel corners were cut, attention to detail and what was agreed to was lacking. Labor isn't cheap which they had to cover in the mistake but that wasn't my mistake. My advice is to look over their shoulders and check every little detail and if it's not 100% don't pay until it's right. I should have done that but some of the issues weren't seen until planting started and I put a lot of trust in the process.

Great folks to work with with. Mary always gets back to you. Great professional folks to work…read morewith
