Recently had NDS do work on my house including re-tiling a bathroom. To do this they removed the…read morevanity from the wall and replaced it. After this there was leaking from under the vanity enough to cause the base of my vanity to swell and crack as well as water damage to the newly installed baseboards. When I called Sandy he was immediately very defensive saying it was not their fault and complained that I was calling him almost 2 weeks after the work was finished. I went out of town immediately following the work and it is a seldomly used basement 1/2 bathroom. They came to look at it the next day and repeatedly told me it was leaking because "my house is old" and this commonly happens with older homes. It had never been leaking before. They told me it was a problem with "bad pipes" and a copper fitting and told me they would replace the copper fitting for an additional cost. They spoke in a loud tone, told me they had been doing this for "20 years," repeatedly told me I wasn't listening but it didn't make sense to me that all of a sudden it would be leaking for the first time. I ended up calling my dad to come just because I didn't feel comfortable with the way they were talking to me. They wiped up the water and manually tightened a valve and told me the water was now "cut off." But it continued to leak even without use of the sink enough to halfway fill a bowl overnight. I declined to have them do any additional work and called a separate plumber. He came to my house and told me there was nothing wrong with my pipe or copper fitting. But that the problem was with how they rehooked the supply, told me the leak was definitely caused by them unhooking and reconnecting the sink, and that "they shouldn't take things apart if they can't put them back together." When Sandy was at my house he initially offered to give me $200 to replace the vanity. I knew this would not cover the cost and told him so. He later went back on his offer to give me $200 and said he would only offer me paying them an additional $50 to come "fix it." After some back and forth he sent me $200 using apple pay. The next day I messaged him with what the plumber said and that there would be additional expenses related to the water damage, and he failed to respond.
