Although this place was a BIT rundown, and needs some repairs, for one or two nights, it's JUST right! Comfy beds, working A/C, hot shower, and a TV you can plug any console into! Although the view depends on the room you get, this is not a place you stay at for the views or vibe. It's a good place to rest for the day, or come back to if you're gonna be out all day

Bath tub dirty and rusty not safe

Please don't ignore reviews I paid the price, I only saw stars at Expedia and booked it for 4 night but after the smell, how filth it was and almost throwing up I walked out after two minutes, I'm still dealing with refunds they want to charge me the 4 days when I was there 2 minutes, I also ignore the service ladies outside that's should be enough not to go in unless you are into that kind of life

Smoke detector showing from a moved location without accompanying flashers for the hearing impaired and ceiling height change.

If the room taxes are fully paid why did you pocket my $100 bill and conveniently forget to give me a receipt along with giving me the digital card to Room 180 ?

No caution signs during construction. Everything in the building looks 50 years old except the newer hardwood floors, not kept clean.

I would give a zero if possible, CATFISHED! Not enough parking. Not disabled friendly, with only a staircase and no elevator. The place was dirty and they didn't clean up the room well, leaving stains on all high contact services. Even the front desk was filthy. There were many stains, broken things and the sheets had stains. The walls were marked up, and the wallpaper was torn. The hallway floors were held together by tape. The place smelled of cigarette smoke even though there are no smoking signs posted everywhere. With a security guard on staff and proper cleaning the smell shouldn't have been that prevalent. The security guard seems to just sit in the lobby the whole time and not be monitoring anything. I wish that I could post more pictures to share, but as per the previous reviews the owner hasn't done much to fix the issues. Don't stay here!

Ok, this motel is what it is. It's not a 5 star but if you need to get a quiet nights sleep, it will do. However there's things I just can't tolerate. And at this establishment it's Roaches. Specifically on the ground floor. While the upstairs rooms have balconies, the ground rooms have patios that are basically just the part of the outside premises, so virtually anything can crawl inside. You can get better rates online but to walk up and pay $90-$100 per night and deal with roaches is unexplainable

The tub and shower area looked a lot worse for wear

This place is alright. The room was okay. Def got a sense of a seedy element here. But for the price not to bad. Recommend in a pinch.

Honestly, it was not a bad stay at all!…read more I only give this place 3.5 stars because it's pretty outdated in terms of furniture and layout. I loved how the bigger rooms/suites were in a separate building. I loved how conveniently assigned our room was to the doors/elevator. I know hotels tend to place families near them. The elevator was slow, but our halls were quiet. I felt like we were the only ones staying in our building and maybe we were. lol The breakfast room wasn't too far a walk, as it was in the same building near the pool. You need a key to get in there which I liked! Sometimes you don't want random people eating for free you know. Breakfast was a fully breakfast, and the lady kept everything clean and coming out. However, she was slow to refill and the eggs and bacon were a little oddly cooked. Like some of the thinnest bacon I've ever seen and the eggs were kind of rubbery. I did like the blueberry waffle mix though. And the fountain drinks were nasty! Checkin was smooth and the older black lady who helped us is super helpful and nice! They had the lobby festively decorated too for the holidays! Price was great for the sized room we have. Had a kitchenette, two bedrooms with tvs, two full baths, and another tv couch space next to the kitchenette. Rooms were decently cleaned, but the carpet was old and sunken in. Next to the dmv which I found odd, but wasn't too far from solvang which was the only reason we were in town!

Pros: Personally my family and I had a great stay here!…read moreFront desk staff was curious and informative, beds were comfortable le and very clean and they were able to accommodate early check in for us, for free! Unlike most places checkout is 12 noon (compared to the standard 11am)!!! Free breakfast was pletiful and had a great variety of food, coffee choices, and juice choices. While we didn't visit the hot tub or pool, they looked nice with decent seating and lounging around it. Good parking but entrances into the place aside from the front desk were a little confusing. Also breakfast area (hospitality room) was a bit difficult to find (go to the pool. On the outside across from the spa, is the hospitality room. There is a sign). Cons: (mostly cosmetic. I can see bad reviews being picky or for spoiled "resort dwellers" lol) - Air conditioner stinks at higher temperatures and start up. Once it gets goin its good. - top cover of the bed is itchy....but not really needed? Just make sure it's on top of the sheet if you use it. - could use more in room lighting. - wiring and lighting could be updated...little on the older side. 100% functional though without issue - some small paint or glue touch ups could be done... cheap and easy to do to be honest and can go a long way - biggest issue was bathroom. It was clean enough with clean towels but wall paper could be glued down where loose or replaced, door hinges were super rusty and ugly (just cosmetic. Don't think I'd go out of my way licking them or rubbing my face on them anytime soon). Under the door had water damage...not really the hotels fault in my opinion. Maybe add a weather plate to protect it or at least cover it up. - shower knob.Requires a little know how and muscle. Had to call for instructions. To turn the water on pulls the center temperature knob outward (toward you). Muscle is required and it feels like it'll break but it won't. Turning it off is the same way, just push in hard.

Well where shall I begin.... First and foremost Budgett Inn I gave you plenty of enough time to do…read morewhat was right by me and the situation your staff created at your motel. To DNR someone because they complain about your establishment having roaches speaks volume to not only their character but the owner's character as well. Here is a list of incidents that I have proof of to back me up if I continue to peruse legal action against this motel and the staff. On multiple occasions the cash I paid the motel manager was used for her own personal use and my reservation was or wasn't created. Her son walked in on my 19 year old in our room " by accident" when informing the manager of her son's behavior she replied" I'm so sorry he must have made a key for the wrong room" accurate because they whole time I stayed at this motel being 3-5 months her family and friends used the rooms for their personal use usually in room 102. Check your cameras! I had a ring stolen from my room during a clean service that I did not ask for that happened multiple times by that specific lady and the manager when I brought it to the managers attention and she did nothing but lie and excuse the behavior of herself and the cleaning lady. I was told by the manager and her son that the cleaning lady can enter any room she wants without permission if you don't have the do not enter sign on your door. I stayed in 4 separate rooms at this specific motel and none of the rooms came with that sign. The manager offered me to use the laundry room which is not open for guests and I would pay her out of pocket. I was sexually harassed by another guest while there I showed the manager the proof and she made a joke about the situation he was never asked to leave but I was. I had access to guests rooms usually the stay over's which included their belongings and personal items. Either the cleaning lady called out or didn't show or the manager hurt her back. I cleaned 6 rooms in one day and assisted with cleaning 4 separate times unbeknownst to the guests. At the request of the manager or my own kindness. In return I would be given free stay or no compensation. She brought over to my car a gentleman who wanted to buy my pain medication off of me the manager told me " I could trust him he is good people" I was so caught off guard by the situation I froze and gave some exaggerated dollar amount I knew nobody would pay to avoid the situation. Multiple times I witnessed and over heard her lie to guests about availability based on their appearance and race. My last stay at this motel I was purposely put into a room that the manager knew I wouldn't be comfortable in based off the appearance, furniture and placement of the room. The room had roaches, holes in the curtains, disgusting furniture conditions, the shower head did not work. I paid for a premium room and received the complete opposite. My dog had a reaction to the roach eggs I had to take her to the Vet spent almost $400 and the manager and owner refused to refund me my money instead I was verbally attacked infront of my 7 year old by her son and kids father. They called the police on me and DNR'd me simply because I knew too much. I have been told by multiple people that the manager is calling other motels in the city and telling them not to rent to me. The way that I was treated and spoken to that day was disgustingly rude and deplorable!!! They denied the roaches but did not want to see the same proof I showed the officers and his reaction and response to seeing the condition of my dogs coat and skin and said " gross". Not only did they waist the officers time and tax payers money calling the police but they thought the way to handle the situation was to degrade me as a mom and guest. I spent thousands of dollars at this specific motel and I did not deserve what happened to me. It was intentional and unbelievable that not only two weeks earlier she made me pozole told my daughter to call her aunty to then do what they did. I'm a good person with a big heart that is my strength and my weakness! I will not let this go it has been weeks and my dogs coat still has not grown back in and the emotional trauma that me and my daughter have from this experience is not okay. To the owners of the Budgett Inn of Lompoc, is this how you conduct business? Do you do a thorough investigation of the people you hire? And do you condone racism and discrimination against people and future guests at your business??? One thing I do know about your business is that as long as you continue to allow your manager to conduct the illegal activities that take place at your hotel you are inviting legal trouble you probably dont want and can't afford. This is not the last that they will hear from me. Fellow Yelpers please email me privately and I will submit the proof and messages that I have to support my complaint. The community deserves to know how they are being treated and subject to when staying at this motel.

It's late Saturday night and there is a rodeo/fair in Paso Robles and some other events in the area. No available hotel rooms anywhere and too late to book online. I called around and finally someone at a local hotel in Solvang said the whole immediate area was all sold out and suggested White Oaks Hotel in "the outskirts of Lompoc" (as if Lompoc itself wasn't already the middle of nowhere). I gave Yelp a quick look and there was no reviews. Then a check on tripadvisor showed a wide range of reviews from scary to pretty good. Since it was either that or drive 5 more hours home, we gave it a shot. The woman who answered the phone at White Oaks was very nice and said they had a couple rooms left, even one with two Queens, which is what we were hoping for. The room was a little more than I wanted to pay, but at this point I didn't care. I reserved the room with my credit card and we made the drive over to Lompoc, arriving just before 11:30pm. Already expecting the worst, we pulled in and the circa 1970s lobby was deserted. Once again the woman behind the counter was very nice and got everything worked out as fast as she could with the phone ringing off the hook (apparently we weren't the only ones desperate for a room). We made our way around the side of the building to our room and as it turns out it wasn't too bad. It was pretty quiet both outside the hotel and inside. The room was dated and a bit worn, but very clean. The beds were comfy and the sheets were nice and soft. The towels were also soft and everything smelled fresh. There was all the usual things you'd expect in the room and then some including fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, fan and safe. The wifi was fast and free. Their "breakfast" was a bit a bit of a stretch even for continental, so plan on eating elsewhere. It's not the hilton, but it's safe, clean and beats sleeping in the car. If I ever end up in Lompoc again and the price was right, I'd stay here again. Solid 3 1/2 stars. Thanks for saving the day (err.. night) White Oaks!
