A family member received excellent care while admitted during a mental health crisis. Dr Ahmed was amazing, understanding and knowledgeable. He took the time to speak with family and coordinate treatment. The staff were all compassionate and helpful. While waiting in the lobby, I observed all potential clients treated with respect and patience as they came in to seek service. My family member said they were treated with respect, were cared for and felt safe by the staff . That Dr. Ahmed was a good doctor that listened. My family member only complained about the food sometimes. Overall a good facility. read more

I truly regret coming here. I have disabilities, and the staff was cruel and made fun of me to my face, calling me names like bad girl and freak. They let other patients bully me as well. The intake person over the phone lied to me about services they didn't provide. The groups were a joke. During one session, I had a bad migraine and was very nauseous. The nurse wouldn't even look at me, just yelled at me to get back in there, and would not give me any medication for it or look for a barf bag. The nursing supervisor yelled at me because I was unable to attend the drumming classes due to my migraines. Duh, one of the worst things for migraines. Some of the food service staff threw things and cursed at me because they didn't want to provide food I could eat. They wouldn't follow the dietician's orders and would only provide half of what they were ordered to. Instead, they made me wait until after everyone else was served, and MAYBE there would be some left for me. The techs wouldn't let me get up to ask for the rest of my food, like I was Oliver or a prisoner. The visitations were only one hour, once a week, with everyone in the cafeteria like we were prisoners. I had nightmares for years. Instead of helping, they traumatized me. You have been warned. My sister has been here 4 times. - 000. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT The people and if they say they do it's probably their favorite ones. I have filed a grievance against this horrible place. Each time we have gone in we have asked for help each time. my sister has gone in we have not received help, my sister had an accident in her bed. They left her with dirty sheets. They refused to wash her clothes. They don't have hot water this time around, which means she can't wash..... there is always something. We are trying to transfer her to another facility and the nurse refused her discharge paperwork or a referral to be given to the new facility. If you care anything about your loved ones DO NOT place them in Valley. My sister did not smoke before she started going to this facility and now she has Barretts disease you would think they would care, no!!!! Find a different facility honestly I'm surprised they're still open and I will pursue my grievance against this hospital until I get results for the patients. Valley Hospital has exceeded my expectations. I have been in many of these type facilities. When Entering these type of facilities my life is at a low point. Perhaps it's just "about time" or " long overdue" that I was successful in curbing my addiction. Whatever the case I have seen successes in areas I have never achieved in other facilities. In my opinion Valley has gone over and above in offering programs and an excellent staff to battle my issues. I would recommend people with similar problems give Valley a try. read more

I stayed here once in 2014 due to PPD and PTSD, don't remember much from that stay except they booted me 3 days on due to not having an actual plan for suicide and no insurance. It was okay. Stayed again, just got out last night. This time I stayed much longer with no insurance and they were able to get my stay covered by their new charity program, not saying it's an option for everyone but it was for me. I would love to recognize Sheila bht, who truly helps from the depths of her soul, she Is amazing, Charlie rn who was always kind to me and gave me extra snacks when I was crying, Ryan rn who apparently is new to the facility, was very helpful looking up medication info for me. Truly the only things I disliked was the alternative menu, I am a strict vegetarian and the alternative menu had one vegetarian option, also my doctor would always come at like 615 am waking me up and I wasn't able to communicate my thoughts half asleep. read more

My daughter completed individual therapy a couple years ago. She's entering the military and she's required to get a mental health clearance before entering. She called Valley Hospital to see if they did evaluations there. I was sitting next to her as she called. The receptionist cut her off mid-sentence and told her, "you need to call Valley Wise," and hung up on her. Pay attention to the reviews before considering this facility for a loved one. I had someone in here looking for help and they allowed that person to fall twice and then they bill you for their negligence. They should be paying for the ER trip. It's no copper springs but they are definitely nice people it's more of a definite hospital vibe your mixed in with some crazies and other kind of people but it was fine for a few days of detox the doctors make sure that you get your medicine because I am on methadone And I was needing that shit like pronto and he made it happen kudos to the doctors. I was recently just released from Valley Hospital for suicidal thoughts. Before you label me as depressed and crazy, let me advise you, that I'm aware of my depression. I've been aware an medicated for quite some time now. Taking it upon myself to seek more help since therapy has been too irregular for me, to notice change (my fault). Immediately I had regretted my decision by the lack of empathy I received from the gecko. The amount of women who are suppressing their emotions in a place where we are supposed to feel safe is undeniably the most traumatic experience I had to go through, medically. My third morning, I had experienced watching and knowing a woman who had died in their care. Nurses make rounds every 15 minutes, to check for breathing. At one point, did someone not do their job. She was announced dead the moment discovered and yet, they made a scene to make it look like they put more effort than they did. I am not crazy, I had witnessed irresponsible BHTs and nurses. Her children will have to know that their mother had died while in the process of trying to survive. A staff member (her name is, ARETHA) a black, tall woman, with fashionable eyelashes threatened to move me to crazier facilities, for giggling in a hall way. She called me a whore, made fun of my tattooing career with other nurses in front of me, gave me dirty looks, didn't allow me to go out for fresh air when there is A RULE SHEET STATING I AM ALLOWED TO GO OUT FOR FRESH AIR during the times I am allowed. I was mentally abused by this lady and was scared to talk about it because I was immediately met with MORE MEDS, and MORE RIGHTS STRIPPED from me. I, and other woman were shooed, hushed, and put on the back burner when it came to DR. ALI. It's disgusting and so disturbing how these women are told to trust this facility. These women who are seeking help automatically don't have a brain to you. I am a young INTELLIGENT, talented, spiritually and emotionally aware of myself - I hold a huge amount of space for growth and open minded opportunities for myself when it comes to health. I was degraded for my weight, due to medication, and was made fun of repeatedly for it. I left valley hospital 5 pounds more underweight. I left valley hospital more traumatized. I left valley hospital more confused, and angry for the woman in that facility. YOU ARE FAILING THEM. You are FAILING THE PEOPLE. These humans need to be evaluated themselves or there needs to be a serious REVAMP in this hospital. The only sick people in here are the providers. Terrible communication about the well being of my son. I was terrified for him the entire time he was there. Nurses failed to call me back, never picked up the phone etc. My son's anxiety and depression were not helped in the least by his experience there. In fact his stay was detrimental to his well being and as his mother I felt bullied and unheard. DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY. My wife recently stayed here and the stuff she told me about this place is disgusting! Everything there is dirty too. The don't clean the ice machines or the coffee maker. The on staff doctor says one thing then the nurses say another. When you call it either just rungs or one of the patients answer not the staff! She went in for post partum depression and she was suicidal, this is not the place for that! No structure either. She said they don't even make sure you are up for meals or meds. This place is bullshit and there is no one on one counseling. If you ask it won't happen then either. You ask for just about anything and it gets ignored. If you want a visit with a baby you need a special appointment. Unorganized, in professional and down right not helpful. Skip this place. I had no idea it was this bad until she started telling me these things. No good resources given to her either just a bunch of numbers to call. Bullshit don't go there. read more

Most of the staff from Nurses to Attendants are pretty nice, the specialists are Great, they do try to help you get through a rough time of your life, they do the best they can with a case load big enough to fill a semi. This facility is a horrible nightmare waiting to happen. Avoid it at all cost. The social worker we had told us that you will get internet time daily and there is none. He said you will have both group and a lot of individual therapy... and there is no individual at all. He said there are MDs on staff to help with medical issues and there are none. The Psychiatrist will talk to you for about 2 minutes a day. Otherwise you will go through constant bullying and fighting with other patients. Literally fist fights... Long story short: If you are in need of mental help, DO NOT go to this place. I was transferred from another hospital and was told I would have access to my phone and see a doctor right away. Once I got there, I had to change into scrubs and give over all my belongings. Once inside, they did not bring any of my clothes up (even though they were allowed) and I could only use their phone (during certain hours) which was often being used by others. I did not see a doctor until my second full day at the facility despite asking for one multiple times and being promised a visit. Every doctor's visit was no longer than 5 minutes, including one physical "checkup" where they asked if anything hurt, took blood, and nothing else. Still never got blood test results. A family member brought me clothes to wear and the nurses did not bring them up for more than 24 hours. The nurses would constantly lie to the patients and laugh at any concerns. Only two of the nurses listened to us and seemed surprised at everyone's shared hatred for this place. When I checked out, it took them 20 minutes to bring my bag of belongings. Somehow my phone and watch were missing from my bag, which took another 15 minutes for them to find. My family member then realized that they had brought me a sweatshirt that was never brought up to me and was also never handed back. The nurses couldn't find it so I had to go search the back room for it. When I left, the doctors told me that the prescriptions would be sent to my local pharmacy, but the pharmacy never received them. I called the hospital SEVEN different times to get my prescription refilled, but each time I was prompted to leave a voicemail or got lost on hold. Finally, I got in contact with someone that said they cannot access medical records (to send prescriptions) until the morning. This was bad because the doctors in the hospital had started me on multiple medications that were important to be taken morning and night. All in all, this place is terribly inefficient and does not care about the patients. It may be an OK place for detox, but anyone with mental health issues should AVOID this place. read more

I was sitting in on outpatient and the moderator therapist, who thank god is no longer going to be working with the women's group and will be background staff instead, made a lot of assumptions, my god-- a lot of assumptions-- and did not know how to help someone who is triggered (by her) and did a huge disservice to me. I left there worse than I came in. I walked out. She put her ego first before therapy and compassion for others. She had no experience in de-escalating a situation or apologizing to calm someone down after insulting them. Her ego comes first. She would also pick on this one girl and be kind of mean to her more than the others and I did not get a chance to ask that girl if she was ok with it. For example, the moderator would shush her even if she wasn't making a lot of noise but then the moderator herself made a crazy amount of noise (like so unprofessional I couldn't believe it) trying to set up some table that the person she was setting it up for didn't even ask for, while another person in the room was trying to tell us part of her life story that was deep and troubling and needed to be heard well. I couldn't believe the moderator's behavior. It was so odd and unnecessary. I asked to speak to someone to complain about her and they said he would call me and gave me a specific time. Not only did he not call at that time, he did not call at all. They do not care for people as evidenced by my experience and their lack of accountability. Now I see why there are so many bad reviews on Google and Yelp. To the moderator: You don't get to damage people and then walk away untouched. Do better. Also, this is not a good place for people with eating addictions or sugar addictions. They don't understand the concept well and the moderator would encourage eating ice cream to me when I was telling her I needed to cut it out-- please educate yourself already: I have a sugar addiction and an eating disorder that I told her about. They understand drug and alcohol addiction but do not help with sugar addiction. I don't even think they know what it is well enough or have done their research on the sugar addiction epidemic and how much like certain hard drugs it is. So I suggest someplace else for those issues and in fact, after my experience, any issues.The moderator may have belittled me in the group, but I am able to write this review so others know. read more

Awesome nurses and doctors and everybody in surgical ICU. I had a serious emergency and was in there for almost two weeks. I was treated with total care, respect, gentle, comforting, and friendly, like a family, way. I would go no where else when possible. These people were angels. My brother is a veteran and initially was supposed to be admitted to the VA hospital in Phoenix but they had a covid outbreak so he had to be transferred here. Sam, the treatment coordinator (I don't remember her exact title) was completely unprofessional, condescending, and in-compassionate when talking to my brother and talking about him with me. I also spoke with Pedro, the clinical liaison who told me after 4 days of my brother being admitted he saw he wasn't making any progress with his mental health and wasn't participating in any of the groups. Sam previously mentioned this as well and said since he wasn't making any progress they were going to up his medicine. Two days after speaking to both of them, Pedro calls me and says they are releasing my brother on Monday, the doctor cleared him to go. I was so baffled that just two days before he AGREED my brother was not making any progress (still hearing voices and out of touch with reality) they all agreed to release him. It is insane. In my opinion, this place is all about the numbers and money. They could care less about the well-being and progress of the patients. Sam could definitely take a course in showing compassion and professionalism. It was hard enough getting my brother to agree to be admitted, and they basically coached him in being released. Terrible place. I wish he was never sent here. read more

If I could give this a 0-star rating I would. Instead of receiving support for my mental health, I left the facility traumatized. This place is a literal prison. First of all, they put me in the wrong unit, so I had to attend AA meetings every day, when I'm a teenager and have never even done drugs. The nurses constantly forced medication down my throat and to this day, I have no idea what they gave me. They would take my vitals and draw blood while I was half asleep in bed. They completely ignored and disregarded a patient having a seizure, even when other patients and I were essentially begging them to go help. I started my period the morning after I got there and when I asked for pads (since tampons aren't allowed), the male nurse said they were out and would make a run to the store. This run to the store took several hours because they kept "forgetting" about it. When another patient offered me a pad, one of the male workers yelled at us and threatened to give us a "write up", whatever that means. My mom was trying to get ahold of me and they kept giving her excuses and lying to her over the phone. As an 18 year old, I was absolutely terrified and just wanted to talk to my own mother, and it took them two days just to let me do that. And then, they turned off the phone lines after literally two minutes of me talking to my mom. My mom was advocating for them to release me because I seriously did not need to be there, but the doctor said if I submitted an AMA, he would petition it and said I would most likely be sent to the state hospital. He never stopped threatening me and whenever I asked him why they were still holding me there, he wouldn't even give me an answer. I was only there because I had called the 24/7 hotline that ASU promote to students who need support for their mental health. I didn't call because I was suicidal, I called because I was having a panic attack and needed someone to talk to. That one call led me to being taken in a van to this prison of a facility by complete strangers. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. read more

Zero, zero and zero stars!!! Voluntarily admitted myself on a Saturday thinking that the services they advertise on the internet actually are offered. My doctor said I needed a calm place where I could rest, be around only women and learn coping mechanisms for my issues. Lies, lies, lies. Didn't get to meet the psychiatrist that was assigned to me until the following Wednesday. They wouldn't assign me to a different Dr. When I tried to leave AMA, was forced by three personnel to rescind my request or I would be committed. Threw any and all sedatives my way even though I told them I was sober. Male nurse Jean on a women's ward was combative even when advised by his boss not to have any contact with me the following night. He sat out at the nurses station singing songs and flirting with the female nurses and patients. I was assigned a 1on 1 staff member who was witness to his horrific behavior. Was offered a naturopathic remedy by an RN who stated she could get in trouble if they found out she was telling me about this product. THEN!!!! Two weeks after escaping she sends me a Facebook message asking if I want to buy the product now signed with her name and the credentials RN (registered nurse). WTH? Reported to the hospital and got a generic letter saying that she's wouldn't contact me on Facebook messenger again. What??? How about she has been censured for using protected health information to sell a product that is a pyramid scheme. Will be looking at contacting an attorney and reporting the entire program to their accrediting organization and CMS. When I asked about the services that were advertised, but not available, I was told that they were not available due to COVID. One of the services was AA and NA meetings. These meetings are now available on Zoom so not sure what COVID would have to do with that at least. I tried to handle this a kind way but the letter telling me that she wouldn't be contacting me any longer was the last straw. She broke so many HIPAA regulations by looking for me and messaging me on Facebook based on my diagnosis when admitted to the hospital. read more

I checked myself in at valley hospital in June 2017 and I left multiple times before finally checking in. Melissa the RN there had checked me in and went above and beyond to get me the help I needed. She stayed after her shift and brought me up to the women's unit and kept her promise to check in with me the following day and couple days after. I can honestly say without her persistence and nurturing care I wouldn't have gotten the help I needed. Dr. Alli was amazing he moved at my pace when it came to medications and I cannot thank him enough for being so patient. I checked myself in for extreme anxiety and depression and was at the point of self harm and having suicidal thoughts. This was my last hope. I'm so happy for the positive staff members who gave the best care I've received at a facility. There were a few employees who I didn't like because they seemed to just gossip at the front desk and I saw them treating patients poorly more so than others, they had their favorites and least favorites. They really should weed out the bad ones because it reflects poorly on the hospital. I'm Lucky to have received great care and lucky enough to say 5 months later I am doing better than ever. When my daughter checked in voluntarily last Wednesday we were told they would have her until roughly Monday, at the latest because they are a rapid release facility. We were also told that she would have intensive in patient one on one therapy... LIES. They offer no one on one therapy just group therapy. We were also told if she did not like her treatment she could check herself out. LIES! They are now blackmailing her saying if she signs herself out ama (against medical advice) her doctor will petition it even though she is not suicidal, therefor will be held involuntarily, or if he doesn't petition it, insurance will not pay the bill because she left against doctors advice. Her doctor has seen her twice since she was admitted last Wednesday and refuses to listen to her. She needs therapy, not medication, she is not being heard, she is not being helped. There are several good things and as many or more bad things. Sr. Steele is a good man get with him immediately. Dr. Fanning is first rate as well. I had 2 good nurses 5 bad. One nurse, her name begam with an A and she walked with a limp, refused to bring me a blanket! I am dying with sepsis and she was too busy to bring me a blanket. Many mistakes were made on intake, for example one med I take 3 time a week, they wrote it 3 times a day! Another med I take 2400 mg and they left off the 2 so it became 400mg. NO WAY TO CHANGE IT ONCE IT IS IN THE COMPUTER.! I have more but you get the idea. Bottom line. I found good doctors but a terrible staff with little or no supervision or compassion. Actually, the support people were pretty good. The terrible people in this hospital were the "educated" people. These people look at the patient as an adversary, but these are the people given charge over you, You deserve better. read more

This place is a disgrace. Where do I even begin? I was so sick going in that I was unable to get out of bed to see the doctor or eat or do anything. Instead of giving me medication, they petitioned me to state hospital involuntarily. Even the state hospital was more understanding and dosed me. The cop that came to take me let me sit in his car without cuffs after seeing how sick I was. They kept my 4 packs of cigarettes of course. Not to mention sending two women nurses to do the 'skin check' and one asking me to lift my balls so she can look under them. What a joke this place is. Never ever going back. read more

I do NOT recommend this place, especially for female military personnel. I was here for a 30-day residential PTSD treatment. As a female, I was not allowed on the military unit, where the only therapist certified to do CBT works. I served in the US Army...with a lot of men. If I can bear arms and do the work the men in the military has to do, I think I deserve the same treatment. When I voiced my opinion, they wrote on my records that I have a sense of entitlement. They put me in the women's unit, where I received generalized group therapy. Whenever I was asked to share in group sessions, the therapists would tell me, "Your situation is unique," and move on. For the first 3-weeks, I told Janice, the women's unit coordinator, that I was not getting the treatment I came here for. She then started meeting me one-on-one once a week for these sessions that didn't address my PTSD at all, but instead focused on anger management. Also, she never gave me a time to see her, so I had to keep checking in on her. It was highly disorganized. As a result, I had Dr. Ghafoor put in an order for me to see Matt, the CBT-qualified therapist, but Janice and Kevin, the military unit's coordinator, ignored the order for 10-days. It was not until Chi, a therapist on the women's unit, put in a note to Matt personally, did he come up to see me. The funny thing is, the morning that I met him, Janice came up to me after breakfast and held my hand and said, "Honey, Matt's not seeing you. He specializes in combat PTSD. You have sexual trauma PTSD; he can't help you." About an hour later, Matt approached me. He told me it was his first time hearing about me and should have been informed that I needed his help. He told me CBT is a trauma-focused therapy, regardless of its nature. It was his last week there, but he was willing to meet me over the next few days. In the 2-days that I spent with him, I learned more than I had my entire stay. Also, the military unit (AKA Freedom Care) is funded by an outsider, so we can get the treatment we need and go on excursions to help us re-acclimate to civilian life. We are supposed to be able to go on outings, including the gym; this was not offered to me until my last week when Amy, one of the workers, put in an order for me to go. She was asked to supervise me while I had my hour of exercise when I first met her, and she was surprised I never went on the outings. I knew about them, but Kevin always came up with excuses as to why I can't go. "There are only men there, and you don't have a female buddy to go with." As per US Army regulations, a female can have a male battle buddy as long as there is more than one male. "All the guys down in the Freedom Care Unit are doing chemical dependency (CD)." False. I met several my last week that have severe PTSD and was seeking both tracks of treatment. During my last week, a soldier from my unit was sent here. He was required to attend CD classes when he was there for what they thought was bipolar. All in all, it is impossible to get the care that you need. Voicing your opinions or requests would only result in retaliation through nonsense written in your records. read more

I was admitted after an attempt to take my life and I was a patient for ten days. I can say that honestly I got the treatment I needed. Though I didn't need to stay an extra two days. Being in the women's unit was drama everywhere. One nurse tech Kayla accused my roommate and myself of bullying a fellow patient which was untrue and I spoke to Shika who took our side and saw the falseness of the report that was written. I got the help I needed and its all about how you really take your treatment seriously. and your intention when you leave treatment, yes it did feel like a prison however it is for the safety of the patients. read more

Amazingly carrying, attentive, and compassionate team of doctors, nurses, therapists, and assistants. A safe space for people who need crisis stabilization, detox/chemical dependency support, or help with their declining mental health. I am grateful to every single person who crossed my path in this facility for contributing to my recovery, especially those in Freedom Care. I spent ten days inpatient and came out feeling hopeful with new skills and meds that actually worked for me. I checked in and was told that I would be in Freedom Care for the night and moved to the women's unit the following day. I ended up requesting to stay in Freedom Care because I felt like I could thrive better in a smaller, quieter environment and they granted that request. Dr.Wilson saw me really soon in my stay and changed a lot of my meds which I was nervous about since med changes can be tricky. It ended up being the perfect combination and I already felt better several days later. They offer three meals a day, healthy snacks, group therapy, recreational therapy, smoke breaks if you need them, and downtime to yourself which you can use to sleep, watch tv, read, visit with floor mates, or work on therapy material. Visitation is every evening from 7:30-8:30 and they try to limit to two visitors per person because it does get crowded. I never saw anything get out of control during my stay, but each unit was well staffed and ready to jump in and help other units if anything were to happen. This was my first stay in a psychiatric hospital and there are obviously people in there suffering from severe mental illness. I never once felt unsafe though and it was the reset that I desperately needed. There are rules and policies that annoy some people (no makeup compacts with mirrors, no electronics, no shoelaces, no beauty products with high alcohol content, no revealing clothing or clothing that promotes violence or substance use). Everything is about safety though and if you're admitted as an inpatient, you or your floor mates probably need those rules in place to protect yourselves. Everybody at Valley Hospital wants to ho you and see you succeed in the program's so just go with the rules and respect the staff and you should have a great experience. read more

I have been to Valley Hospital three times for various difficult times throughout my struggle with my mental health (suicide attempt, major depressive disorder, and my most recent stay was to help me get off [opiate] pain killers I began abusing and found myself addicted to after I was a passenger in a serious car accident). It is probably one of the best places to go. You have to keep in mind the people posting these reviews are former patients, and many are seriously mentally ill and not necessarily the most reasonable. Some function on a different level emotionally, some even function on a different level mentally, and may not be the most mature. It could be the people that they had to tie down and give a shot are the ones to get out and write the reviews with negative things to say... But if you're just a normal person who's kind of depressed or a reasonable person who is seriously mentally ill it's a really good place to go. Decent food, kind, caring staff, and if you're going in for detox, they really do everything they can to make you feel as good as you can while you are going through you're with drawls (which isn't going to feel like enough, because WITHDRAWING IS TOUGH, that's why as addicts one of our biggest fears is running out or not being able to find or afford more. One last thing; THEY ACTUALLY LET YOU SMOKE! Of course, it's got to be at your designated smoking break time... And of course they never seem to have enough of those times... But you should thank your lucky stars there is any hospitals left that allows smoking any that are funded by the government are "smoke free" facilities iit's in the contract they have to be if they're going to get government funding this place (Valley Hospital) is privately funded. read more

My daughter is a patient at Valley and I went to visit her and was told I could not because she was in a meeting. I understand the importance of assessments, however they are only allowed two visits a week one of which is during work hours for most of us. I don't understand why this assessment could not of taken place one of the 5 non visit days. I left there to get a call from my child 40mins later wanting to know why I didn't come. On top of not telling her I had been there, I then received two back to back calls from my emotionally distraught daughter because she missed her only visit until next weekend. My daughter isn't living there because she is emotionally put together clearly. I am very disappointed by the events of today and I hope we don't have any other issues. read more

it's unfortunate there are so many negative reviews. I was there for 8 days for depression and anxiety, and found it very helpful.They also treat substance abuse. it is a place to stablize and learn coping skills. it is not in depth treatment; for that you should go on to such treatment after the program. however, I saw improvement in every one there. The medical and psychiatric staff were good but somewhat hard to vist. the technical staff were all helpful; most were compassionate and hard-working but a few were somewhat crabby. the programs were very helpful but beginning to feel repetitive by the time I left. my caseworker was terrific but at least one other patient had a lazy/incompetent one who caused great stress. I benefited greatly from my time there due to the changes in my thinking and outlook, I must say the food was great. read more

I see all the low scores and I see the 3 out of 5. I saw that there was people who posted they went here and they received the worst treatment available because this facility wanted the money. One lady said they wanted 2 thousand a day to treat her and she was disappointed that she didn't get the service she would receive at a 5 point hotel. I want to ask her have you ever paid to stay at a 5 point hotel? The other people on here stated that they are only here to take your money and it costs thousands per day. This in it self got me scared of going but I didn't care I wanted help and I have a problem. I showed up her on 11/14/2017 and I am a military person. I was told this place would cater to the first responders and I was not disappointed by their attention to detail. Yes It was tough going in and seeing people from off the street as I call them "Walkers" but I stayed true in my course of action. Mr. James Eddie from the 161st ARW referred me to here and after I was hesitant my commanders threatened to kick my ass out if I did not follow through with what I asked for. What I asked for was help for a alcohol dependency that I started since well I was 21 years old in active duty. I feel that I'm in the right path to success and that I will trust these members to lead me the right way so I can be the best NCO to my mentors and my country. I am here to learn and hopefully break that folklore that when you ask for help it makes you weak so hence they kick you out and find a younger airmen to fill that position. I don't want to leave I am a Arizona Guardsmen and I have an issue that needs help. As soon as I'm better I promise to deploy for the 4th time overseas in devotion to my country and continue giving the American people what they deserve which is a Pure, Just, Reliable Airman waiting to make his calling.
